Belle 7?
I think we are heading towards Victoria 8. Maybe a few more female figures, then V8 is next up.
I think V8 will be out with the next major DAZ release – DAZ 5; perhaps a year, 1½ year from now.
Andv8 will released this year
That is very likely, because I'm just starting the move to G3.

Good timing, cheaper etc. :)
Left image is Belle6 textures on G3; right is same textures after using NGS2 (they were tweaked to get the paler skin).
I used a texture transfer tool from that other place. I've not transferred the shape, but that is shown above.
I like pale textures; it suits the stylised characters I create, so Belle6 was a great starting texture.
That looks great, thanks for helping me with this process. Can you tell me the name of the texture transfer tool?

I believe I can link it as it is a specific request.
You will need additional packs to get G2F as well. You will also need to transfer the textures to G2F base before you transfer them via the blacksmith tool; it can take some time to do all the different processes - just a wee warning.
The other tool available here is perhaps easier to deal with, but I don't like the work around it has - although the affects are impressive. You might want to see if the alternative available here suits you more.

I'm not sure if that is the one you need, but it is related; perhaps someone else can advise you for sure.
Scott Livingston's Render ThreadHey everybody...long time no art! Here's one I've actually been working on for months...since the last time I posted here, in fact, although this is the first time I've shared it. Definitely the biggest and most challenging 3D project I've worked on (takes a while to fully render, too...about two whole days). No postwork...all the effects (smoke, fog, lightning, tears, blood/bruises, dirt, body hair, etc.) were done in Daz Studio, thanks to the help of fine products by Sickleyield, smay, SimonWM, Orestes, V3Digitimes, Exnem, ThePhilosopher, and MindVision G.D.S.
The character's name is Geanna (she's a customized Victoria 6 HD). She belongs to the same world as most of the other characters posted here (Daran, Mirian, Tse Lien, Elivia, Maaku, Bromodan) but earlier in time...to them, she's a historical figure of some importance. At the moment, she's going through a painful and pivotal episode in her life...and her actions from this point forward will reverberate throughout the Kingdom of Lorania. More on that when I post the final version to the Gallery.
I use Depth of Field in my renders so often that it's sort of become a crutch...I decided to do this one without, and to use lighting, composition, and fog rather than DOF to focus the viewer's eye.
Not sure I'm quite ready to call this one "done." It probably could use some postwork...or else some lighting tweaks...to make everything "pop" a bit more. Tough to balance aesthetics and realism...fog tends to make everything look a bit dull. What do you think? Feedback and suggestions welcome.

V4 Muscle Morphs NOT WORKINGPlease don't post to bump threads.
Yes, reisntalling the base Victoria 4 package will give the batch file and won't affect saved scenes.

And I really hope they do an effort with it, not rush it out as with V7, wich really felt more like a V6.1 than a new generation + that it in quite few ways was a step backwards from V6, with lesser material zones and even lesser abilities to conform and so on.What I hope to happen with the 8 characters is a clear improvement:
* Male and females released together and working better together* A return to more materal zones and more possibilities to shaping and modelling both face and body including abilities to hide finger- and toenails like with Gen 4, flattening ears, nose, female breasts and so on, so that it looks more realistic beneath tight clothes.
* More realistic expressions
* Attached male geneticals
* More options when it comes to aging and youth shapes
* Better autofit controls
* A possibility to use with poses from older versions
* A possibilith to use with UV-maps from older versions

Cant wait :D
Dothraki Woman OutfitDaz offers the Island Warrior Outfit for Genesis 3 Male, which is, obviously, the outfit that Dothraki men wear in HBO’s Game of Thrones. I would also like to see the outfit for Dothraki women for G3F. Renderosity offers the Desert Queen product, but it’s an old version of a Dothraki woman’s outfit for Victoria 4. I would like to see an Iray version of it. What do you think of this suggestion?

How are Non-Daz HD characters HD?Some characters are called "HD" that don't seem to be HD. However other characters definitely are. If you turn up the "SubD" you can really get those HD details to show up much better.
Take Gwennili HD or Victoria 7 for instance. Here is the comparison of what she looks like with a SubD of 1 versus a SubD of 4.

Novica & Forum Members Tips & Product Reviews Pt 8Someone pointed this out in the sales thread- Fisty and Darc (FWSA) is part of Fred's (one of the discounted stores in Elijah today), and so if you get Elijah Pro Bundle, and Build Your Own Flash sale (3 things) the prices really drop. (About $3.50 - $3.85 for characters.) I recently showed you Monika, that bundle with the dress goes down to $9.78, FW Sushmita for example is $3.91 I know most of us have already shopped the Build Your Flash Sale, already made the decision on Elijah, but passing this along because if it's within 30 days, you can do a different combination, get a better price- and get store credit. I already have so many of FWSA it isn't worth it for me personally.
If you manage to find something you like in the new Mars items, you can (or could earlier) get another stacking discount on FWSA items because they were part of the associated PA sale. The Monika bundle was down to like $4.19 when I checked out.
Genesis 3 look the same while V4 Look RealisticWhy are Genesis 3 figures similar? Like I've seen products that are supposed to be a different character but they look almost exactly like Victoria 7 or Michael 7, like the only difference might be the eyebrows or something. I don't get why they are being called different names when they look almost the same. V4 on the other hand look realistic and/or different like I've seen MDD's products and also the Metropolitan Collection. Genesis 2 also has more real varieties. Another thing is expressions, Genesis 2 has that non robotic expressions, I rarely see expressions for Genesis 3 that can express emotions, I only mostly see sexy or modeling expressions. I hope in the future Daz and PA's could make different looking characters, it would really sell. Just my observations.
How are Non-Daz HD characters HD?Ideally, the HD morphs would actually show additional detail at higher mesh resolutions, but sadly, that is not always the case. Early on, Felicity HD for V6 was released. Investigation showed that her rendered "HD body morph" was identical to the regular V6 body morph. There was no extra visible detail rendered at all, regardless of mesh resolution setting. I was told by CS that if the artist uses the HD morph tool to create the morphs, they may be advertised and sold as HD morphs. I hope that by now the situation has improved and morphs sold as HD provide better results than that early product. If you don't see HD results in the product you purchased, you may return it within 30 days of purchase. Your satisfaction is guaranteed, as long as you test it and make your return decision within 30 days.

How are Non-Daz HD characters HD?I have two HD characters in my library, and somewhat randomly, decided to render them out with flat gray shaders (no bump, normal or displacement maps), on level 1 and level 4 subdivision. I couldn't see a difference. I thought HD meant modelling you can't see in the viewport, done at level 3 or higher. Does the HD detail on PA characters come from maps? If not, was I doing something wrong? One character (LY Jessinia HD) doesn't have an HD settling labels, the other one (Brooklyn HD for Victoria 7) does. In both cases, I used the Iray version.
I don't use Brooklyn that much, but I use a character based on LY Jessinia all the time and have no complaints on the photorealism the model (combined with Mei Lin skins) provides. But I'm a bit baffled at what makes her HD.
Genesis doing the strangeIt sounds as if you need to reisntall Victoria 5, not Geensis Starter Essentials - unless another morph is triggering the Victoria 5 shape indirectly.
Dynamic Clothing Control tutorial? (I can't figure out how to use it)Since it's manually isntalled it won't show in Smart Content, or the Products or Categories lists in the Content Library pane. You need to look in the Content Library under Daz Studio Formats>My Library>People>Victoria 4>Dynamic Clothing>FlaredDress.
Note that if you are using the clothing on a Genesis figure it won#'t AutoFit to convert - instead you will need to use an animated drape:
- Open the Timeline pane if it isn't
- The arrow on the Timeline should be at the far left
- Pose the figure to fit inside the clothes
- Move the arrow on the Timeline to the right
- Apply the final pose - don't worry that it now sticks through the clothing
- Drag the arrow on the Timeline back to the left
- Make sure the figure is still fitted inside the clothing
- In the Dynamic Clothing pane set the drape type to Animated, then drape the clothing
Generation X2 - Stop Creating New Victoria 4 in data folderI should add, that after my tranfered morph is complete, I can delete the face and body dsf that GenX creates and my normal Victoria 4 slider returns and in perfect working order with the new morph.
Generation X2 - Stop Creating New Victoria 4 in data folderEverytime I transfer a Victoria 4 character to Genesis 2 Female, the program writes a victoria 4.dsf in my data folder.
When this happens, it somehow overwrites my own Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female and in the shaping tab it combines?... turns to (2) Victoria 4.
This would be fine, except when I use the slider that Gen X2 provides, the characters mouth is always slightly open and Victoria is always on her tip toes when I slide it all the way to 1 and her face is slightly off.
So I'm looking for an explanation or solution incase I'm completely missing something.
Dynamic Clothing Control tutorial? (I can't figure out how to use it)I'm not on my DS PC at the moment so can't be 100% sure, but I think you need to look in Content Library - whichever you installed it to - People - Victoria 4 - Dynamic Clothing - Flared Dress. Most of those freebies were made for V4, but you can usually get them to drape onto Genesis or G2F or G3F.
V4 Muscle Morphs NOT WORKINGAre you sure all the items - Victoria 4, Morphs++, and the Muslce Morphs - are in the same content diectory? The DzCreateExPFiles-v4 should be added by the Victoria 4 base so if it's not there it does sound as if you have the installation spread over two (or more) locations.
Missing Victoria 4.2 morphsYes, probably I am doing it wrong. But I got it working as I want to in Carrara. And that is the most import thing for me. I have a pile of animation to do and do not have the time to solve technical issues. I have working detour (export Victoria with all the added morphs and import that figure into Carrara). All morphs seems to be working correct. In other words I do not care anymore where what is installed, because I got what I want.
Same for CMS. I have tried to figure this out to.
I wanted to work with Genesis, but because there are many more issues with bvh files and aniblocks, I move on with V4. Now I have much less problems. The only issue I had were the limited amount of morphs. But that is solved. So I can move on with animation. That is my goal. Not solving technical issues which I problably will not need again.
