I can log in on Daz Central, and on the Daz site itself, but not Daz Studio. Haven't even touched DIM yet. Every time, it gives me "Server did not accept username/password."

I changed my password and even restarted, but it's still giving me this.

Well, both use the same data so you should be able to see all your cintent in Install Manager too. Both log the exact location of the installed files, though, so moving the content will break that and for the Daz Central installs at least you won't now have the zips to use the Reinstall using Curent Paths option. Having the correct paths in the installation record matters when uninstalling contetn or instaling updates that remove or move some old files.

I had to batch-update the UserInstallPath in the manifest files to point to the new location.

In the beginning I installed everything with DIM and had no problems, but I've been trying Das Central for about a year and since then I've only had problems. Today I wanted to do the Central update, I thought maybe it would get better, but it didn't work out. Every time I try to update again, DC reinstalls and when installing no longer works, air and runs for a very long time.

No, you can multi-select products and install all in a single operation.

(b) You need to do the same process on the "Ready to Download" page to actually download everything from the store.

(c) If you have not yet installed Daz Studio itself, I suggest you do that first before installing any content. You need Daz Studio itself and PostGrSQL CMS to be installed.

Therefore, you can move your asset library from one drive to another and then you update the "Base Directory" in both Daz and DIM (assuming you use that exclusively for installing content). For Daz you can go to Preferences -> Content -> Content Directory Manager and update/replace the old base directory with the new one. This is likely to be atleast under "Daz Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats".

In DIM (Daz Install Manager) click the Cog icon -> Advanced Settings -> Installation. In that window you will see your old path listed in the bottom section and so just update/replace that with the new.

This will fail to remove old files on uninstall, or if an update changes file/folder names. If the zips were retained Install Manager does have an option to reinstall using current path which will avoid these issues.

If you use Connect or Daz Central then there may be other parts I won't know about.

I don't use Daz Central but have you ever allowed DazStudio itself to connect/login? If so then the Daz Connect from that process is likely causing conflicts in the same way it does for those of us who use DIM for installation.

So you installed through Install Manager (or Daz Central) and have not changed the Manifests location since, nor done anything to the Manifests folder?

Daz Central constantly marks products, some years old, as needing to be installed, even though said products are installed and usable in Daz? Why is this?

And... If you do use DIM (or even DAZ Central) to install your content, do not log in to DAZ Studio, that is only needed when one makes an concious decision to use DAZ Connect inside DAZ Studio as ones primary means of installing content.

The general concensus is that the DIM is the best tool for installing DAZ content.
DAZ Central is just a simplified version of DIM

DAZ Connect inside DAZ Studio was created at a time DAZ experimented with encrypted content, which did require logging in to DS/DAZ servers to verify the users licence for that content. The experimentation with encrypted content was ended some 5-6 years ago, but the user is still asked to log in without being told why or being warned about the possible consequences and side effects - Sometimes decryption errors occur due to the content still being encrypted at DAZ servers that are used by DAZ connect to download them.

The installation location DAZ Connect uses is non-traditional, which does not work with scripts and older content, and whatever gets installed by DAZ Connect, overrides the installations made by the other installation methods (DIM/DAZ Central/Manual installation), even when the DAZ Connect installations fail to work due to for example decryption failures. If content is installed by either DIM or DAZ Central and again with DAZ Connect inside DAZ Studio, the content is installed twice, taking twice the space on ones drive.

@janogiers_6eb90cceb3 Yes, you can go back to your previous versin of Daz Studio, as long as you had saved the previous version .exe file for the Daz Studio installer. If you saved the older version of DS, then uninstall your currently installed Daz Studio using whichever tool you used to install, such as DIM or DAZ Central and then run the prior version Daz Studio .exe (if you didn't back-up your old version of Daz Studio, then you may be out-of-luck and should contact Daz Support for help with the new version).

I can login into anything Daz that includes studio, central, and install manager. I may have made it worse with resetting the password. I also cleared the cache ,cookies and History off my PC. Even though the pass word change is not being recognized at all. The only place I seem to be able to access is the store website. Any help would be appeciated.

Merged more threads and moved to the Commons since it is not a Daz Studio-speicifc issue but affecting Install Manager/Central and even the site itself.

Update I have cleared cache and cookies on my PC. I am still not ablle to log in or my password change is not being accepted on Daz central or Daz install manager. I seem to be able to access the Daz store, but I seem if I log out my changed password is still not being accepted.

So having issues with accessing Daz Central and Daz Install manager. Basically it asking me to change the password. I reset password and nothing changes. It seems to be I can only access the Daz store sort of. Any tricks or tips out there to fix the issue.

Hello! I have a bad issue!!! When I launched Daz Central (after buying some items logged in in the store) this morning I was asked to put my password in......it was not working, so I did a password reset with a link to my email address.....Nothing, I can't login, all the new passwords I reset in this way are not working! I'm just logged here because of automatic login, but I can't access to Daz Central and Daz Studio in any way!!!

Anyone had the same issue??? How can I solve that?

Stupid question - is there cache/cookies for DazCentral/DIM/DS itself? I have separate computers for browsing and art, both running Win 10. I've now been able to log in with my newest password in a new browser window on the computer used for browsing, but still no success with DS, Daz Central, DIM on the art computer. (Also no luck logging in with a browser there.) I know how to clear cache/cookies for a browser but for Daz Studio itself, DazCentral, etc?
