It looks to be a Michael 4 set, so it should be possible to AutoFit it to Genesis (from where you can AutoFit it to Genesis 2 or Genesis 8) - the AutoFit dialogue will pop-up when you load the item and, if it doesn't fit on load, fit it to the figure. Props will need to be manually positioned and parented to the appropriate body part.

Eddie's arms and neck were burnt by the sun yesterday, he had to get more in the sun from his doctor to make more vitamin D, he looked a little pale, so Eddie grabbed all the sun creams & lotions he could find and went off to the beach. He never thought that he was going to see again today the beautiful girl he saw last April, she almost bumped into him! "Hi! I'm Eddie and I get burnt by the sun very easily as you can see and uhm there are some spots on my back that I can't reach, if you would be so kind to help me? Please, 'cause there's no one else I know here on the beach..." Gabriella and her girlfriends Tiana and Jeane went for a little wandering around the beach 'cause they got a little bored, the beach was so empty, not a single cute guy around, when all of a sudden... So, I'd like to clarify, does the script allow converting Victoria 4 poses to Genesis 3 Female, and Michael 4 poses to Genesis 3 Male?

Enjoying the family photos from everyone! Very cool. Novica, that's a lovely picture of Holly. It sounds like she enjoyed her life with you.

Finally got a chance to play with the Mid Victorian G8M outfit. This is a mix and match with the Regency Wellington boots for G2M (short but pointy, important for a Wild West setting) and an old freebie hat by SAV. Textures are from the Mid Victorian expansion pack. Character is G3M with CC Cillian skin, Kheiron body (dialed in to a low amount), and a Facegen morph enhanced with the base G3M morphs. Set and weapons are by Polish. Pose is from here, converted to G3M

You probably already have them. I believe they come with or came with Carrara. Look in the runtime where you have V4. It would be under poses.

After all that head scratching with RTEncoder, it was all to no avail because, when it came to applying an M4 texture to Genesis Gens, I still ended up with default grey.

Have I missed something? Do I need to apply it in the surfaces tab instead of clicking on the new icon in the Genesis Anatomy folder? I tried it with some of the M4 Elite textures and got nowhere.

On the upside - I do have a fairly old version of the Poison gens (I think it was free at some point) and that takes any M4 texture with no fuss.

A trick I found was to first apply the Materials to the Poison Gens, then copy the surface and paste it into the Gens surface on the updated Genesis Anatomical Elements Gens. Do the same with the Genesis hip texture, then set the UV for the updated Genesis Anatomical Elements Gens to Michael 4. After than just delete the Poison Gens.

Hi,

in the recent promo of Caine I see a nice dogtags necklace. What is it?
Really some time ago I got the dogtags for V4/M4. But I can't get them to work on Genesis 1,2,3,8. They get terribly deformed when I put them on the newer characters.
I have the necessary "++"-morphs installed and the characters are able to autofit clothing of the others.

What is the trick?

So I  have a toon generation figure and my old aniblocks don't work with it. Parts of the body move and other parts don't. I assume this is due to a change in the bone structure of the figure. The aniblocks were for G2 or whatever ad the toon generation figure may be based on G5 or whatever (I can never keep the nomenclature straight). I do know the blocks were with Michael 4. 

So is there a way to translate the blocks to a newer character?

If to search for clothes for characters, you will find a wide variety - more than you will ever need.

If to search for "watches"... well, the search at DAZ finds only round or square watches for G2M and G3M from esha, and the "luxury watches for G8M". Nothings for girls at all!

At Renderosity, the situation is not better: Just something for Victoria/Michael 4.

 

If anyone knows wherefrom to get ladies watches for G3F, G8F, use in DAZ Studio, please let me know!

It's against the rules of equal rights that male genesis 8 figures get luxury watches, while the ladies get nothing at all..... shame on you, DAZ ;-)

 

 

Haha yeah, actually would be really cool if there was more ranges of watches and styles of watches for both male and female characters.

It was a dragon of a render, Total Rendering Time: 11 hours 59 minutes 51.99 seconds for the second part only, part one took about 5 hours, but here it is, finally.

"Hey Hong, what's that on the inside of my knee? It's tickling me and burns at the same time man! You didn't do any ink there did you?" Tyrese asked but Hong just looked at his watch and didn't hear Tyrese at all, "Within thlee houls, that's not bad fol such a detailed tattoo!" Hong, a vietnamese guy Tyrese knows for so many many years is not just another tattoo artist, in fact he holds the title of Ink Master 2017 and is specially know for his Black & Grey and very realistic tattoos...

I have been using Victoria and Michael 4 since the Pliestocene.

Maybe there is a way to do this through Daz?

If to search for clothes for characters, you will find a wide variety - more than you will ever need.

If to search for "watches"... well, the search at DAZ finds only round or square watches for G2M and G3M from esha, and the "luxury watches for G8M". Nothings for girls at all!

At Renderosity, the situation is not better: Just something for Victoria/Michael 4.

If anyone knows wherefrom to get ladies watches for G3F, G8F, use in DAZ Studio, please let me know!

It's against the rules of equal rights that male genesis 8 figures get luxury watches, while the ladies get nothing at all..... shame on you, DAZ ;-)

Just looked at my bookmarked threads. The first one describes how to use the map transfer utility but is for G3 to G8... but younger generations should work similar.

If you want to make things easier, and mostly go between M/V4 to G2, then perhaps this is the best option and investment:

I bought this product now

 I realized that I do not have Michael 3 but I want to see if I can adapt it to Michael 4. But I can not stage the dress. I click but it gives me nothing. Yet I do not think it is a texture ... I read well? why do not you give it to me?

Victoria 4/Michael 4 etc   standalone older technology.  Known as generation 4, there were previously gen 3,2 and 1.

Then came Genesis   The Newer technology

Genesis    characters associated with Genesis have 5 attached,  So Victoria 5, Michael 5 etc
Genesis 2,  has 6 as the number, so Victoria 6, Michael 6  etc etc
Genesis 3   has  7  as the number Victoria 7, Michael 7 etc
Genesis 8 has the number 8 attached to all compatable products.  Daz missed out on Genesis 4,5,6 and 7 because it was felt that the numbering would get confusing and so bought the Genesis number in line with the character generations.

Ok, In the first I replaced the head of the character with a picture.
The second one is Michael 4 and I'm still working on it.
The third is Genesis 3 but I do not like that shiny skin.
