This is my new favorite character mix - Victoria 8 (100%) mixed with The Girl 7 (12%).

She's so adorable, imo. :) I think she might be my new muse.

Is it me, or is EVERYWHERE you go on the internet flooded with ads for Victoria X and Daz, in general. lol

I know google or amazon or whoever does that key word search-catering....serving

But damn, there are ads on every page on every site.

I'm already a daz user so I don't know what the purpose or effectiveness is...

But I'd lose my mind if I DIDN'T use Daz and only did one google search....lol

I used a site and am searching for images and POW- there's are TWO ads filling both borders for the new victoria and Daz making lifelike figures.....

And I rarely see the images used repeat so somebody is doing a serious job spreading the artwork and awareness.

Finally made a render I'm actually happy with. What do you all think?

Thanks so much for the compliments on the skin settings, guys! That really means a lot to me! I work hard on trying to get realistic skin, so it tickles me pink to get compliments on the skin (yeah, I know, I'm a sucker for compliments. I'm lame. lol).

If anyone is interested in the settings I'd be happy to share them. Just let me know. 

And now on to, VICTORIA 8! Oh My Goodness! I love her. I don't get the few people I've seen saying she's "ugly". What? Ugly!? All I can think of is that maybe they're just used to the ULTRA unrealistic figures that barely look human and the extremely over-Photoshopped images of people in the media. Because the first time we get a lovely figure that actually looks a bit more like a realistic looking woman (relatively speaking) some people say she's "ugly". Yikes.

I like her, I think she's a great step forward toward more realistic characters!

There is no Victoria 4 option only the Genesiseseseses, DAZ needs to leave something for vendors to make and sell after all.

I suppose I'm still hoping for something (if not new) then different.

G8 version of what I have - not really.

I'm still not sure why I've kept Victoria 8, admittedly the character is far superior to V7 and V6 imo, but still it's more of the same. Having said that, whoever did it did a really good job.

Genesis 8 has Auto-Fits for Genesis 1, Genesis 2 Male and Female, and Genesis 3 Male and Female.  The latest version of Studio clothing is Fit To automatically (as long as the figue is selected) and Auto-Fit comes up automatically like you would expect.  Tried older beta version of Studio and had to Fit To clothing manually but one I did Auto-Fit still worked.

Edited to add:  Victoria 5, 6 and 7 are morphs of Genesis 1, Genesis 2 Female and Genesis 3 Female respectively, they will not have separate Auto-Fit clones

I am also wondering if there is a difference between G8 and V8 as regards the autofitting. I am using G8 (the essentials base figure).

Is it possible that autofitting is working properly on victoria 8, but not the base G8 figure I am using?? Could somebody be so kind and test that?

What figure did you do the conversion from? What figure did you do the conversion to? (not the character i.e. Summer Glau, but the figure i.e Victoria 4, Genesis, Genesis 2, etc.) What texture have you used? The one that came with the character?

Not sure but I would like to know if I can sell just textures too here?  I have an old computer but still can do basic textures for poser based figures such as Aiko 3 and Victoria 4.   I cannot do anything fancy like iRay or Genesis 8.   Or does the Daz store only for iRay stuff and Genesis 8 stuff?   I would love to create stuff for Steve, since I think I got him and he works with the version of Poser I got.

I'm guessing it was expedient. Some theorize that both the 4.9.4 release of Daz Studio and the release of G8F/Victoria 8 were a tiny bit rushed, maybe, to meet the traditional, bi-annual, June release of the next Genesis generation...

You're probably right. Maybe they should have taken a bit more time on this release. 

HD packs should be part of the pro bundle.

I agree! My perfect Pro bundle would contain 

++ the base figure

++ Head and Body Shapes

++ HD Add Ons

++ 'Anatomical Elements'

++ 2 characters

++ 2 hair styles

++ 2-3 sets of clothing

and how many times would you be happy to buy the Head and Body morphs?

Yeah, that would be a problem... unless the only Pro bundles to include the Head and Body morphs were Victoria X and Michael X... Let the subsequent bundles include poses instead...

But like the others, I would like to see the HD morphs as part of the Pro bundles. There are a lot of times I pass on the Pro bundle because of the clothing included. It's just not worth the cost when 3-4 of the items just don't appeal to me. I'd have a lot more incentive to "go Pro" if the HD morphs were included.

I do think the "anatomica element" ought to be part of the base characters in the starter essentials, but I suspect there is a legal aspect to keeping it in the Pro bundles. Merchant Account providers, (how merchants collect via credit cards,) often have restrictions on what the merchant can offer for sale. Putting the anatomical elements anywhere but in the pro bundles might be a "TOS" violation... anyway, I'm pretty sure we won't see a change in how DAZ makes those available.
