Seriously, why only 2048x2048 resolution?

Release is scheduled for July 13 for both HeadSHop 10 WIN and HeadShop 10 WIN Upgrade (from HS 9).

Any word on headshop 10?

error message "Exception error in application..." "File name may not be zero". Ok. The HeadShop program window appears, on the left side a white area with diagonal red cross.

I have this same problem in 4.9

Brief advice to all HeadShop 9 users: if you have difficulty clicking on "Autodots", an easy fix is to change your screen resolution. Very high screen-resolutions may make it difficult to click on small dots. The solution: right-click on your desktop background and lower your screen resolution (for example from 1900x1200 to the next lower, like 1600x900). It will work.

In HeadShop 10 we made the dots larger, so it should work at any resolution.

just looked still got in my inbox the thanks for genesis 3 male support offer. BTW took advantage of the last deal and grabbed the bundle and couple other things doing a lot of pa flash sales building up to something maybe, Ivan is about to come out as is Urban Sprawl 3 so Stonemason teases actually read headshop 10 too thinking these and some others will be some massive promo sale wonder if creature creaor 3 coming of and horse 3 and cat/dog2 and Aiko 7

I did not see a response to the question of how much HeadShop 10 costs to those who have previous versions. Like If I bought 9 right now on sale, what happens when 10 releases? Is it a free upgrade?

Does Headshop change the shape of the mesh or just map photos as textures? (or both?).

Both. This one was made from Genesis 2 Male using HeadShop 10.

Will there be any upgrade option for existing owners of Headshop 9? I had been waiting for the free 9.5 upgrade with increased texture size support, but I guess that never happened? 2048 is definitely an improvement. 4096 would be even better though, as it's pretty much standard for Daz textures.

Does the body texture match the face texture?

 

With HeadShop 10 you can sample (with color-picker) and apply color to neck/pedestal.

I am sure there is a way in DAZ Studio to do the same and adjust the body color to match face...

HeadShop 10 WIN uploaded to DAZ for QA. Hopefuly it will be soon available at the DAZ store.

New features include:

• Larger texture saves (up to 2048x2048)
• Profile picture import - doubles the reality in most heads
• New color-picker and paint brush for texture retouch
• 3D and Color 3D output with direct launch of service bureau

We have released HeadShop 10 and it DOES have larger dots that are easier to grab/move.

My suggestion to using HS 9 better is to experiment with the screen resolution of your computer (maybe res is too high).

I have no experience of using it but this is what HeadShop http://www.daz3d.com/headshop-9 is for.

Further comment: things are actually not going so well. I did get HeadShop to install, I can also begin work on a new file, but when I get to the "autodots" stage things grind to a halt (i.e. I am not able to grab the dots and move them to appropriate positions on the photo I am using as a template).  I did report the problem and someone from the help desk did get back to me; he seems to be aware of the problem and is talking vaguely about a "fix" - I am not optimistic however; it really does not seem anyone is devoting the necessary resources to making this a useful, functional program.

I need some help with Headshop 9 (got it installed and sort of working . . . can't seem to move the dots at all).  I'm not sure this is actually the place to ask . . . is there a separate Headshop forum somewhere?

For the record, yes, that worked.  For some reaason I couldn't install HeadShop to Studio 4.9, but I now have 4.8 working as well with HeadShop installed there.
