I didn't think it was armor thought was part of the skin texture blending scorpion and the rock like how with a mermaid's tail scales blend in with the human skin parts

Just kind of funny. I've seen Neville work before and I know how anal he is so it would be pretty funny to ask why he made that choice. Praying mantis would definitely be cool.

I liked how the Scorpion King looked in Mummy 2 but Neviille's version lot more, maybe thought added more of the human side to the creature? Yeah I love the mantis concept those arms something I like incorporating in a lot of my creatures lots of my creatures have been pretty much all about lots of teeth claws and spikes sometime done some tenticle or sluggy but mostly mine are all tooth and claw types oh and big eyes

Of course they will come out with a centauride set. Like Serene Night said, females are a huge market for Daz. They are not going to pass up selling me another $60+ bundle, on sale. They might pass on a children/fole set, and maybe RawArt does a scorpion or spider monster centaur, and DZFire does a centaur robot, but those are long shots.

BTW RawArt, I really want a Drow Queen spider-goddess centauride drow thing (yup, we consumers are never happy, you give us one gold nugget and we want a gold mine...)

I'd love to finally see a genuine insectoid/arachnoid monstrosity in the store. A spider/scorpion/mantis-human hybrid with more than one set of arms and articulated 'Predator'-like jaws instead of the usual human mouths many creatures in the store have. Something properly Lovecraftian and utterly devoid of any overly human features. Like if a Lovecraft film had been put into production and HR Giger was comissioned to design the creatures. :)

A lot of Tyranid designs, from the 'Warhammer 40K' series, could serve as inspiration for how exotic a truly alien predatory species could be:

Hi all!

I'm looking for clothing items to emulate the Mortal Kombat characters. I was mainly interested in the ninja-like characters like Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Scorpion (plus the other variations like Smoke). I thought it'd be a simple matter of finding some padded martial arts armor, but the designers have really made an effort to differentiate everyone's looks so that they're not just simple pallette swaps.

The Mortal Kombat characters have been around for a long time, so they're a bit iconic. I think the looks of the characters would be great for all sorts of imagery even if it's not just as Mortal Kombat fan art. I'm hoping we can compare notes and offer ideas for fans of the series in order to make some cool renders.

BTW, what is the difference between Dragelle 01 CHR Iray and Raw Dragelle HD?

There is no difference...just different naming for different locations in the library

 

As for tail placment, there is alot more to consider than just anatomical accuracy. As someone pointed out, you also have to consider how clothing will fit, you also have to consider how the mesh of the original figure is laid out, the reality is that it is not laid out well for making a tail. There is also how the rigging comes into play, if the tail is to work properly it has to be based off the hip, if it gets lower then there will be weird issues with thigh movements. Sure all things could be worked around and made this way or that way....but that is where the product creator has to make decisions as to what they think works best and looks best. It is not just a simple matter of logical anatomy.

yeah new variations of the daz dragon 3 that makes him more unique and not like the others, wingless, different types of legs chicken bird like, extra eyes, tenticles, mandables, insectoids, chameleon type eyes, bug eyes, pincers, did a photomaniplulation once of a scorpion type creature with a humaoid face. Hybrids always nice cute and cuddly as well as vicious ones. Animals with human faces often strike a nerve in some so those are good. BTW folks angel wings are coming for g3 seen someone preview them coming soon
