Hello, I have been away for a while recently I purchased Leisa 8 and a couple new characters for genesis 8 female. When I load them, the textures, skin, makeup etc... are all there but the face shape and body shape aren't, the face and body is always the base Genesis 8 female.... all my older characters work fine... it is just the new ones.

I went to the shaping tab and even there I don't have the option to shape the G8F as Leisa, but the older characters are there.

What can I do to fix this? thanks.

here are my two cents: what I liked about other pro bundles was that they were diverse in genre. What I mean by that: many bundles had something contemporary, something sci-fi, something fantasy. This pro bundle seems to have just one topic: mom in her 40s. For a pro bundle that is too flat for my taste. The pro bundle before, Leisa, had the very same problem. Therefore I skip both.

Actually I rather prefer the bundles to have a proper theme, with some variance for utility. So I think that the bundle overall is OK for what it is. The overall deal is just ok, it could be much better, but Daz has had worse deals with DO releases (usually males...)

My issue is that while Jenni looks alright, she doesn't strike me as being remotely new or unique. We've had other characters her age and race before. Jenni appears to have a little better skin, but is it really? I am not so sure. While the dreaded Daz Orange is not present in Jenni (thank goodness), I'm not so sure her textures are actually better than those who came before. Bluejaunte's characters have raised my standards considerably, and those characters are all a step above almost anything the Daz Original lineup has released with very few exceptions.

If you think Jenni looks good, try her with almost any BJ character skin preset. I guarantee you will be blown away by the difference. I would bet money on BJ Murphy's skin looking absolutely stunning on Jenni. Her realistic skin with a little shadow under her eyes would be perfect for a busy soccer mom character. Seriously, I'd like to see someone post that combination here, I'm sure somebody here has Jenni and a few BJ characters in their runtime.

Mousso's Zsazsa is the most interesting one of the bunch to me. Which might sound odd to some of you because she is 'just another white girl'...but she kind of isn't. She has a distinct ethnic look to her that most Daz white characters lack. Zsazsa has a Slavic, Eastern European appearance which matches her Hungarian name. If Daz must keep making white girls for DO's, having one be so uniquely Slavic would be ok in my book, and they should probably let Mousso make it, too. She has a knack for nice ethnic characters. Which raises an interesting observation, Mousso's girls are quite popular, and while some of that may be how they have some celebrity look a likes, I think the other part of it is that many are uniquely ethnic, even the ones that have fair skin. That should prove that ethnicity can sell in the Daz store.

Before, at least when Olympia 8 was released people were complaining that her bundles were too "varied" and seemed to want a unified theme to it. Now they have it.

Zsazsa is stand alone, Jenni 8 not required, not for the body nor for the head.

She's lovely, but I wonder why they put her in Jenni's bundles. I don't think I've seen other Daz Original bundles include anything but characters based on the new shape. I could have just missed them, though.

Zsazsa belies the fiction of the usefulness of add-on characters in Pro Bundles. They could easily have replaced her with Zilpha or Malin, the two other DO buyouts that require Jenni 8.

 

I agree. Only characters that require a lot of the base character (over 70% at the least) should be in the bundles.

Zsazsa being a pointless bundle character, is making me reconsider dumping my cart, and doing my own build-a-bundle. I really like Jenni.

I was going to do a build-a-bundle, but I would only have saved $13. So, I figured I get the extra 8 items that I didn't care about for the $13 by getting the Pro Bundle.

I'm disappointed.  Since the last character was female (Leisa), I was hoping for a male character.

the 10% gift card with a new release is near a losing situation ... if you buy a cheap PC+ item, that takes away from using two of them for the larger discount on other stuff ... or basically is a wash, 10% then 10% off GC or 10% and antoher 10% if you buy 2 new release..might as welll save the bother, unless you use the 10% off gc for future purchases.

I did file a support ticket the day it happened ..Thursday? and have had no response but I have added to my ticket 3 times as  my situation changed, I did use the 10% GC discount that would expire Friday for a small GC with the hopes of getting the additional 10%  just added to my account and then again today when I got the banner for just 20% off Leisa which I had already purchased, of course no response yet from DAZ!

As the Manager of a large hotel if I treated my guests with such poor service as DAZ seems to be doing during these sales I would be losing business, thank goodness during a rare situation when a guest is unsatisfied we take care of them immediately as we want and need that return business, I wish DAZ followed that same policy.

I enjoyed it, but not as much as previous years, although I do love what I have picked up. Reasons for less enjoyment:

1. Having a glitch with my PC+ membership for over a week in the middle so I couldn't take advantage of mdeals during that time.

2. Like many, many other folks I was not happy at all when PC+ Catch-up prices went from $2.99 to $5 when Leisa debuted. I am still unhappy, since I bought Oso Lechuza just last night--because I was afraid that--as has happened before--that not every item would make the last catch-up & that would be one of them. But today catch-ups are again $2.99, including Oso Lechuza. (I know I could return it and re-buy at $2.99, even while waiting on the store credit but I don't think I'm going to bother.)

3. IMO, G3 characters, which is what I want most right now, seemed to have gotten the least attention of any generation in the PC+ for a Day & the other promotions. Seemed like most characters (and other items) were either G8, G2, or generation 4 or earlier.

What I did like:

1. I did get things off my wishlist

2. I found some cool stuff I hadn't noticed before and got some of it Not a lot because I promised myself I was going to work on the wishlist for the most part

3. Glad that Daz liatened to us  & did this promotion again
