  • Brow Remover (Commercial)

got more info for you did a quickie test not render of a face using texture imported of my half brother via headshop 9 first one is his real eyebrows then removed then wow brows added so these products work great if you use your own face textures created via faceshop/headshop, and probably others plugins like facegen and the like

  • Convert Head OBJ Model into a morph for Genesis.

    FaceShop is now HeadShop http://www.daz3d.com/headshop-10-win

Various modelling tools have ways to project one mesh onto another, which could be used to fit the Genesis x head around the desired OBJ and then load the result as a moprh.

That's great but does this new version support Genesis 1?

    I don't know.

I do know. It does FULLY support ALL Genesis basic figures (1, 2 and 3). Derivative morphs (Victoria 6, Michael 6 etc) are still supported, as well as any other Poser figures in the Import OBJ mode (which does not support only two functions: aging and weight).

  • HeadShop 10.2 is Now in the DAZ Store 30% Off (Commercial)

Includes FREE upgrade from HeadShop 10 to 10.2.

    What is new?

Our development philosophy is simple with each new version: 1. Make the software more user-friendly by simplifying operations. 2. Make the output better with every new release.
Compared to the previous release HeadShop 10.0, HeadShop 10.2 offers two important upgrades and changes. 1. Simplification of the set-up process from two screens to a single screen. Add headshape dots to get the correct headshape right from the start 2. Combination of shapedots and texture dots on work area. Now the same dots move both. These improvements result in 50% less steps and better head-shapes at the output. We have also updated the manual and fixed some How-to video links.

  • What software to use for Character Modelling from Photoreferences?

FaceGen is really good and easy to use if you can afford it.

If I'm not mistaken it only outputs to 2048x2048; not particularly large. G3F figures, as an example are 4096x4096. So it would depend what you need it for.

FaceGen will output 4096, provided your source picture has sufficient resolution. That's why I'd recommend it over HeadShop, who's current updated version can only output at 2048.

Ahh my bad, I was mistaking for head shop.

  • Can the Face Morph Tool Kit do this?

Well the most accurate results you will get from using FaceGen or from HeadShop but if you buy the Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs (there is a male one too) and have a good artistic eye, practice, and patience you will be able to get very close to the FaceGen results just by using morph sliders from the Genesis 3 Female head Morphs product. There is a big cost difference between the three products I mentioned so really it comes down to you motivation of what you want to spend your time on in DAZ Studio.

After you get the face shape right it is even more work getting textures, hair, and makeup to resemble your morph target but you are in luck because there are several hair products and character texture set products that you can use to create that character from the DAZ Store.

  • Headshop gone missing!

It might be worth trying to uninstall and reinstall the plug-in.

Just tried that mate and it's made no difference. I used DIM, uninstalled and then new install, Headshop is still nowhere to be seen in any of my interface tabs and also still not listed in 'Plu-ins'.

    Very strange ?

  • Headshop gone missing!

    Hello all......

I've just noticed that my 'Headshop' has gone missing from Daz 4.9, now I'm not sure when or where this has happened because I don't use it very much but this morning I decided to have yet another try at using it and I can't, because it's vanished. I still have the installed version on my PC but the 'plug-in' side of it has totally disapeared so I can no longer try to use it within DAZ, it's also disapeared from my 'Plug-in' window, the one where we have to enter our product codes, has anyone got any ideas how I can get it back in please?

    Thanks.... Jon T.

  • Headshop 10 - Any opinions yet?

Ok, I totally overlooked that instruction. But even after placing the blue dots exactly as you say, I still get the unhandled exception error. I am not using the pic in another process! The pic does not load after hitting continue. Another user is having this same issue, so this is not just happening to me. This needs to be resolved. (To note, I just linked the same picture from above because it is the same error.)

Also, even though I have multiple projects saved, the "open saved project" selection is still gray and I am unable to start a saved project.

I also tried using an existing obj file that I had created with Headshop 10. Comically, Headshop 10 then tells me that the obj file was not created by Headshop and might not load properly. Huh?

After selecting an existing obj and existing texture to load into Headshop, along with the face, lips, texture settings, and then head figure settings (as instructed in the readme) from the HS launcher in Daz, nothing happened. The program did not launch, it just disappeared. Ok then.

Its also worth noting the naming structure of files and GUI elements in Headshop refer to the program as FaceShop and Headshop interchangeably. Your best tutorial video is for Printahead. The default morph name is "fs." When I start from Daz, the program calls itself FaceShop in the box that pops up. I'm wondering if perfhaps the Unhandled Exception Error has anything to do with that wacked out naming schemes. The file that is in use is by Headshop, but it seems that Headshop "thinks" another program is using it, perhaps confusing old FaceShop files for a different program? Look, you need to decide what this product is called and call it that ONE name. All references to Faceshop in the GUI, read me files, and whatever need to be properly updated. I already linked a picture showing where your readme has an outdated instruction to locate a file that no longer goes by that name.
