I dunno, I never put screen limits on Teen Kiddo, and last fall's standardized tests (beginning of 8th grade) they scored at the end of 12th. Some of the scores hadn't changed from the previous year (beginning of 7th) because they'd topped it out. They're also writing college level papers (one of the ones for English was a critique of some of Edgar Allen Poe's works through a feminist lens). And Little Dude does get a lot of benefit even out of the shows that annoy me. So personally I don't think the screens themselves are bad. (And even some of the shows I hate aren't horrible content, I just can't stand the voice acting.) And in a situation where going places just isn't an option, it's an absolute sanity saver and window to the world.

I do draw the line at shows that glorify being mean, though. Normalizing that is so, so not okay.

The one thing that would have been really useful, and that could clearly be achieved given that the coding information is already being used in the store, would be for the product library and wishlist to be sorted by product categories like Hair, Environments, Props, etc.  Also, though probably not as easy to implement, I'd really love to have a way to display the store and hide all the products that are texture only. 

Spent money for DAZ items the first time since the end of January yesterday and today, as finally something appeared as Daily Deal that was ready to pay for - a cemetary, non exclusive for G9 - while my favourite's artist was eligible for the wishlist and 70% off featured artist sale. I hope all the big spenders here make up for my stinginess and buy many items made by Chris Cox at full price, as the products would be worth it.

The hill is rather steep.  I don't see how he could have a productive farming arrangement on his property.  But perhaps he could learn a thing or two from Andean terracing & hillside sculpting.  It's not a real farm with herds of cattle or vast fields of crops.  He has an old barn, and a couple of large gardens behind his house, and some small barnyard animals. (Thank god he got rid of the pigs)  He used to have horses which he kept in the long steep yard front of the house that runs down to the main street, right past my kitchen window.  I think the horses were in deference to his teenage daughter's starry eyed obsession.  Someone just happened to point out to town officials that farm animals cannot be kept within pooping distance of houses and roads within the town, and the horses went away.  That lot is now used as parking space for his various small trailers that come and go during various times of the year.  He does mow & trim weeds in the front yard (it's a BIG yard) every week and it looks OK even with the trailer(s) parked there.  Nice guy, but I do think he needs to rethink his dirt situation.

An Observation:  For a couple of weeks I haven't seen the feral cat that lives in the drainage ditch on the other side of his property.  Nor have I seen the cat lady leave any food at its typical haunt.  The last time I saw the cat up close, it looked pretty ragged.

For the first one, if you hit "More", it it an Access Violation issue?  Daz throws them a lot.  You can google "Daz3d access violation crash windows 10" and you'll get many threads on the topic - one might be the solution for you.  Geometry Sculptor loves to throw that error for me even with win11, as does working in large scenes.  How big is your scene?

As for saving your models for a new PC, you can just copy whatever folder you have them in currently to your new PC (as long as it's in a folder in your library) and it should be fine.  I did that with mine with no issue.

 

 

Ok thanks everyone! about the saving I always save Character Preset and wearble preset. I have the texture in saved folders to make sure it won't get damage as well :3 So hope I do right.
About my files I'm very creative person that love to put a lot of details on her art so I have big files , But even some small files wont work.
I thought maybe better update my DAZ3D? didn't updated it for half year. and also maybe move to windows 11, Update thing.

No. I did not hide anything so I find it odd that it's not listed under the installed tab.

I think you'd need to provide more information - is there anything in the log?  What is the crash information (Hitting the 'More' button)?  What are the steps you're performing - how big is the scene, etc.  Limbs can move really slowly for a lot of reasons - including a lot of smoothing on the characters clothing, etc.  There's also a few bad hair products on the store that make characters almost unusable if they have it.  Does it happen if you just load a basic character into an empty scene and just fiddle with it for a while - does it crash then?  Does it get slow/laggy/crash in Iray Preview or is it other things (texture shaded, etc.) as well?  Viewport is definitely slower in Daz 6 than in 4.24, and Daz 6 crashes more than 4.24.  I have a 5090 as well and in large/complex scenes, or with a lot of characters, I do most of the work in 4.24 and only use Daz 6 to hit the render button because of that (both can be installed together)

One thing to check too is to make sure it is set up and recognizes your 5090 in render setings, and that the checkbox is checked to use it.

Correct, DS6 shouldn't be under "Update" unless you've installed it before. But DS 6 is installed separately into the dedicated folder of its own and has a different SKU# rather than DS4's, so you should be able to find both of DS4 and DS6 under Installed Products. Check the screenshot down below.

Besides, better always back up the old DS packages / installers, just in case...

For some time now, I've been building a userscript/add-on for my shopping in Daz. Since Daz broke it with the redesign and I was working on it again, I figured I could glow it up a bit and share it with the rest of you.

I know Daz Deals exists. I built this instead because: 1) why not, it's fun, 2) I wanted features that were not available in Daz Deals and 3) I got annoyed that after parts of the catalog were mistakenly priced as <$1, Daz Deals showed $0.xx as "best recent pricing" for months and didn't want to change it. I've been using my addon exclusively since late 2025 -- I first matched the basic Daz Deals functionality I liked the most, and I've been adding little quality of life things that I wanted in the store beyond a pure deals-focused addon. Have I spent more time building this than saved money with it? Almost definitely. But here we are.

Features

I'll list the features here so you can decide if it's worth your time to check it out.
All features are optional and also completely free. You can actually disable any feature I'm describing in this post and just use the ones you find useful.

1. Powerful filters (Enable "Category" filtering everywhere!)

• You can negate filters
• You get the "Categories"-based filtering in basically all pages, including deal-of-the-day pages and such - there's no good reason we shouldn't be able to filter in those tbh.
• You can save your current filter as a preset for you to reuse
  • You can also save your URL, as the entire filter is saved in the URL
• Filter for "Show only owned items"
• It has some cool filters (Hiding items / New releases / Addons for products you already own / Excluding addons for products you don't own)

2. Preview item from the card

Nice to quickly decide if an item is worth opening a tab for :). This works particularly well for clothing items because they tend to have vertical images. For other items, the aspect ratio often doesn't fit well within the catalog cards, but it's still handy. You can always see the images in full screen using the bottom right lens icon directly without having to open the product.

3. Discount previewer

I wanted to preview discounts without having to go to the cart for every single item. Daz math is very exhausting and this previewer solves it all! Just kidding, but it does makes it slightly easier to deal with: you can plug in which items are discounted and it'll update their price directly in their card. It's possible to sort & filter by that "final" price to find deals, too! Since there are frequent issues with the offers and other conditions that are hard to preview like price floors, it's not a magic bullet, but I find it extremely handy.

4. % off sorting

Adds a sort for % off, and final price / final % off if you're also using the discount previewer feature I described above.

5. Better product cards while browsing the store

They're slightly more compact, include the recent best price, they start glowing if the current price is better than the recent best price, and they also show a little badge when they're an addon for an item you don't own - so you know ahead of time.

6. Price history & custom lists & product notes

Obviously a price history is a must, so there's that (green dots denote the "best" pricing in the last 6 months). You can also add lists and product notes to your products. Unlike Daz Deals, these are two separate things: you have to create lists in the settings and then you can just toggle them in the product page. You can of course filter by your lists from anywhere*

* The new Product Library interactions with filters were too broken so I gave up on those for now and custom lists don't work there, if someone is interested I can take a deeper look.

7. Remote synchronization (Lists / product notes / Filter presets)

In case you'd like to keep your lists / product notes / filter presets somewhere other than your computer in case you reinstall your OS / browser or simply to synchronize across computers, you can do that. It uses Dropbox, meaning you'll need a Dropbox account for this part. It will just take some KBs of space from the account.

8. Other stuff

Smaller but still important features that do not warrant individual screenshots, in no particular order

• Fixes product library when using infinite scroll in other pages (2-line fix really). i.e you can keep using infinite scroll elsewhere and you'll be able to see pages in the library.
  • Hopefully Daz will fix this soon, but until then, it's an option in the userscript -- that you can disable too, btw.
• Adds a "recently attempted codes" in checkout. Because I usually kept having to find codes again after properly qualifying for an offer. 
• Hiding items from the different catalog pages.
• Hide licenses box in product pages - except editorial. Editorial is always shown.
• Hide poser products by default
• Hide what's hot section(s)
• Total discount in checkout, aggregated across all the items,
  • Plus the count of Daz Originals in your cart, for the coupon. Only shown to Plus and Premier members.

9. Configuration

If you use Firefox

If you prefer, you may also install it as an userscript following the Chrome instructions below.

If you use Chrome, or Chrome-like (Edge, Opera, Vivaldi)

For Chrome, for the time being this is only available as a userscript and you will need to install Tampermonkey to run it. The script has only been tested under Chrome, but it should work in any Chrome-adjacent browser. It is not compacted / obfuscated for you (or AI) to audit if you wish. Out of curiosity, I asked Gemini what it thought about it. It loves glazing things, but it gave the script a very stellar review.

So steps:

1. Install Tampermonkey extension for Chrome. Follow the instructions to enable user script execution

2. Click here (it won't do anything if Tampermonkey isn't installed): https://bdzs.usefulservice.workers.dev/betterdazstore.user.js

That's it

There are plenty of features, so I'm sure there're a bunch of bugs. Most of it works, because, well, I've been ironing it out for a while. Some of it might have broken in a way I didn't catch yet with the latest update from Daz, feel free to report it and I'll take a look.

All functionality is free. It's not free for me to run of course, but it's not very expensive either. Some features, such as Daz Deal's wishlist notifications, cannot exist in its current form because emails are not free to send and they would also require me to store your information, which I don't want. In fact, the Dropbox syncing is designed in such a way that I don't need to pay for the storage and I also cannot access anything from your lists / comments etc (obviously the application cannot access the rest of your Dropbox either, Dropbox doesn't allow that).
