What a really weird mix of everything! Repull didn't make it easy did it, but I got an idea.

He seems ok. I'm seeing no orange banner and nothing in the exclusive offers area either. No incentive with the past Pros as I have 6 & 7 Pros already. Bad timing being first of the month with rent and such. Without any discount I'll be forced to pass. May only get the base this time. =( It's all good though.

I have an exclusive offer in the messages. Exclusive offer is "You have one of the past Darius pro bundles, so have an extra 10% off". Mildly surprised at how limited it is compared to recent offers; I wonder why? (I have both Darius 6 and 7 pro bundles, so this is probably as good as it's going to get.)

Additional discounts for the other non-bundle items are showing up in the cart now. Assuming they stabilize where they are, they're quite nice. The additional discounts are only for the other items and not the bundles, at the moment, but that may change when they kick the store to make everything settle out, if they need to do that.

The Capsces Poses and Expressions don't currently have a promo image in the pro bundle, but they're listed at the bottom in the Included items; without that promo, it looks at first glance as though there are only 10 items in the Darius pro bundle, compared to 11 in the Olympia, Teen Josie, Stephanie, Lucas, and Monique 8 pro bundles, and 12 in the Victoria 8 pro bundle . The LINK for the Capsces poses has a placeholder text of LINK, which actually goes to a product in the store, which makes for an oddly funny false drop.

Venice Hair doesn't have any morphs for the back of the hair that I can find. I had to go into Left Collar>Twist to get a section of hair to lay down, because when I was trying to get another morph to work, that strand right behind the left shoulder moved too.

Same, I (re) discover some stuff I bought by past, but it's also perhaps a past freebie, it was for me, check it out from your Product Library :)

As I had Stephanie pro bundle I was very tempted to get Angela but your comments only mentioned Reby and on confirming it includes a skin I felt comforted to get it.

Genesis is great with Anagenessis.

The Egyptian Outfit for Genesis 3 Male and the Egyptian Outfit for Genesis 3 Female are, in my opinion, two of the best Egyptian-themed products Daz has ever released. They’re both realistic and come with a variety of beautiful textures. Yet Daz hasn’t released a full set of historically-based Egyptian armor (complete with a breastplate, spear, and shield) since it released the Egyptian Knight for David 3 and Keeper of the Veil in 2008. Perhaps the reason they haven’t released a new set of Egyptian armor is because that type of product doesn’t sell very well. Nevertheless, I’d like to suggest an Egyptian armor outfit for G3M and G3F and/or G8M and G8F. This set could come with changeable textures like these and these. And it could also come with a breastplate specifically for a pharaoh.

Also, Daz once offered an Egyptian chariot from Simon3D. It can now be found at Renderosity, and it contains not only a chariot but battle poses and weapons for Michael 4 and Victoria 4. It would be great to see a brand new Iray Egyptian chariot with battle poses and weapons for G3M and G3F and/or G8M and G8F. Would anyone else like to see any of these products? 

I was playing around a bit with Analia and doing a wee bit of kitbashing.  I thought the lighting in this came out pretty good.  On closer inspection, I do see a bit of grainyness.  Either more light or longer rendering might have been better.  I'm putting a slightly postworked version in the gallery.

Note the generations on the hair, all the way back to Victoria 4. Very thoughtful of the vendor to span that range. The hair morphs let you bring the flippy sides down, and even designates the top and bottom. One thing it doesn't have is volume for just the sides (unless I am just not seeing it.)  I think I'd postwork and add a bit of jigjags to the middle part of the hair, so it's not quite so straight. The lighting may cause it to look harsher too. 

My outfit seems a bit more fluid in the skirt than the promos,and the neckline seems a lot lower. This was the default as it loaded. It comes with a bow and arrow, and a hat, but  this will give you a feel for the product.

Saige's mouth was slightly adjusted- the lips narrowed a bit.

Forums are doing weird with pictures again. The second one is darker here, than the popup- which is lighter than the original! I give up.

As for Monique 8: if you have the model, take a look and tell me what you think.

I don't know, she actually looks fine to me. This is a Monique render, no color correction, default skin settings.

Human skin does tend to come out a bit orange to me by default though, so I usually knock that out in Photoshop.

I don't think translucency should be necessarily low. In human skin a high amount of light is actually scattered through the skin. About 94% of reflectance comes from SSS. Problem is, this really looks the most right with Chromatic SSS, and that is bugged to high heaven in DS. So often when I am setting up skin I still use mono SSS and lower translucency to avoid a single-color takeover of my skin. This is preventing me from developing and releasing skin shader settings right now, I really wish it would get fixed. :\

For what little it may be worth: the difficulty I have with Monique 8's settings is that her translucency, in particular, should not be high. At the very least, it shouldn't be as high as Victoria 8/Michael/Olympia/Stephanie/Lucas, but every single Daz base character has translucency set at 0.9. Dark skin simply isn't as translucent as paler skin; that is quite literally one of the evolutionary reasons for its existence.

This is true, but melanin is mostly at the basal layer of the epidermis, not sitting on the surface, so dark skinned characters would still have a very significant SSS contribution. I would expect the scattering and depth to be different. I don't find much references on this when I look.

I have trouble trying to bring DAZ darker characters to lower translucency also. Like lighter characters they get much more pale, and it's harder to tint diffuse without flattening the skin tone. It might require actually editing the diffuse in an image editor which won't kill detail like that.

But as soon as you set translucency lower, SSS Chromatic makes the character go translucent. Hopefully, someday, that issue will be fixed.

Honestly, even if SSS Chromatic weren't incredibly buggy, I'm not entirely convinced that the increased realism is worth the spectacular hit on render times. That said, if it weren't buggy, maybe SSS Chromatic wouldn't hit render times the way it does.

I get, to some extent, why Daz has handled things this way. They're using translucency as a major contributor for skin color. In fairer people, it may be -- I'm not entirely sure about that. In darker skinned people, it cannot be, at least not at the same level, and still be realistic. (Except maybe for soles and palms -- but those aren't separate surface areas, and so have to be handled with the rest of the texture -- and mouths, of course, which are separate surfaces.)

So far, all the changes I've tried with Monique 8 make her either dull and grayish, or trying to become invisible.

Could you recommend me a DAZ female realistic character that corresponds to an age between 6 to 8years? I have used some products to simulate growth for Victoria 7 but the proportions do not seem right to me. I want to do some illustrations about Christmas and my characters seem as ET around a Christmas tree.

When I took advantage of the "glitch", yes I did get Victoria 7 Pro, Tween Julie 7 Pro and Toon Generations 2 Mega Bundle (I already owned half of the products in it)
My purchased product was one of the higher priced new releases supporting a PA: Aging Morphs for Genesis 8 Female(s) (I already own the G3F version)
