HS OneClick?
The new headshop looks useful for a person-with-problems like me, bt I was wondering if someone could show me a side-by-side of how well it works?
HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)I'm on the fence about getting this primarily because I have more content for, and like to use, Genesis over Genesis 2.
Is there a way to transfer the morphs or textures that HeadShop produces so that I can use them on a Genesis figure? If so, I'll get this right away.
That would be the GenX2 product lines:

HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)Caution: HeadShop does not run on beta Studio. Make sure you install to the correct version on your c:drive.
I use the public release, no beta. But Daz Studio is on drive D. I cannot install it on drive C. Does that mean it won't work?
It is a good question. Are you saying that your Program Files folder is on drive d?
Yes. It's actually E, D is the dvd drive, sorry. :) C is a small SSD, only the operating system is on it.
Everything else is under E:\Program Files\... or E:\Program Files (x86)
Even the Windows User directories, Documents directory etc. are on the E drive.
I'm not at home, and won't be today, so I can't try the actual product, but it is something I really would like to use.HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)Caution: HeadShop does not run on beta Studio. Make sure you install to the correct version on your c:drive.

HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)The error in Studio says invalid runtime, so I'm wondering if this has been tested on systems where DAZ Studio is installed to D: and/or using DAZ Connect where each product has its own runtime. I couldn't find a log file in the app data folder, which is a bit disappointing.
Can you provide any help, otherwise I'm afraid I'll be returning the product again.
Thanks

HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)I have a quick question
Is this "stand-alone" or do I first need to purchase HeadShop?
This IS HeadShop, nothing else to purchase

Infinite Insanity - There's ALWAYS Another Sale! (Daily Sale Talk)I'd already jumped on the bargains before they possibly disappeared - so I missed out on Lex and Lori. Don't want to buy a new item to get the stacking discount. Bummer.
@Nath why do you want to return headshop? Doesn't live up to expectations?Infinite Insanity - There's ALWAYS Another Sale! (Daily Sale Talk)Is the 30-day return guarantee valid for Headshop One-click?
I guess it should be. Why, what's wrong with it? There are very few items I want to get when new, but this is one of them.

no idea, but as headshop only outputs 2k textures, I ignore it.
HeadShop OneClick (WIN) Download FailsSame problem, and I even tried a manual install and can't get the plug-in to work, headshop works but does not talk to Daz program.
Very frustrating install, this should be easier.
Headshop Oneclick ProductHas anyone already used this product? It's interesting for me but there were no final rendered images shown in the promos and I was wondering if the final render would still look realistic.
HeadShop OneClick (WIN) Download FailsHeadShop OneClick (WIN) Download Fails - I have both the latest 4.9.2.70 Release 64 Bit and the latest 4.9.3.128 Public Beta Release 64 Bit but I only get offered one version of HeadShop OneClick (WIN) to download and it doesn't mention 64 Bit or what version of DAZ Studio is is for.

Where did Headshop go?few questions is this version going to installed via dim and or connect or download from our bought product pages, if we have both the full version of daz 4.9 as well as the beta version out now do we have to do seperate installs for both programs and also do we have to manually create any folders or copy paste any files in specific areas like we did with headshop 9 - didn't get 10 so don't know how that went
OneClick is downloadable and comes with its own installer. There is no need to manually install anything, the installer installs everything as needed (separate installers for 32-bit and 64-bit). Caution: in all likelyhood OneClick will not work with beta versions of Studio, as betas have different naming conventions.
well that still works then all gotta do is create the head texture in the last full version and if using the daz beta all we gotta do is import the saved created texture via surfaces tab often done that created the face texture then in paintshop done any touchups wanted then reimported via surfaces
what can or can't be redistributedI was looking through the EULA's for various modelling software including Carrara and Hexagon as well as third party software like Zbrush, while it is always assumed you can create your own mesh and redustribute it, nothing is actually spelt out explicitly, and after reading this thread
I started to question what can and cannot be redistributed.
The Cornucopia plant software does explicitly outline restrictions on using generated tree mesh, Carrara does not.
One would assume trees dialed up using leaves created by PA's like Howie Farkes are indeed for render only as are the included tree examples but I always assumed dialing your own parameters from scratch using leaves you modelled in the vertex room and your own textures would be ok, likewise a Terrain you created your self with the map editor etc.
I do actually have the indi gaming license (got it on sale once) so that use in games at least safe but I was thinking more of set creation for say DAZ studio, iClone, Poser etc where obj export and creating a new product for free or sale.
Same would apply to Bryce.
Is it any different to using vertex tools or spline editing, its just a modelling tool but for tree generation, more to the point how do you know what you can do with any modelling software as very few actually say even Zbrush.
LAMH for what it is worth does explicitly say you can share your hairs likewise Headshop/Faceshop morphs as long as no DAZ mesh redustributed.
Whereas Garibaldi says you cannot and Facegen only with the pro edition.
To use two examples.
The grey areas worry me.
I have modelled shrubs, not trees using the Carrara tree generator as a starting point and modelled my own leaves and flowers from scratch, but heavily modified them after decimating to create shrubs I put on sharecg that actually are pretty far removed from any thing dialled up in Carrara, Xfrog is used by others in a similar way.
Only a handfull as rather unsure where I really stand in that regards.

considering been up 3 years, not terribly popular!!

but nonetheless I would like some definate answers.
Where did Headshop go?There's something I'm still not quite getting here.
In Headshop the shaping was imported as a custom morph. Thus one could just apply any compatible Daz texture.
Is that NOT possible with this new product? It seems you implied not, but I'd like a clear statement.
So, can I use a Daz texture with this new product or not? Your answer will determine if I buy.
No, you can still use DAZ textures and in most cases you will absolutely need to use DAZ textures because it's rare that a picture used to create one of these morphs is good enough and in high enough resolution to create a texture from. It will have things like shadows alway in the same place of the face no matter how your lighting is set up and so on. So yes, you can and probably should use DAZ textures.
When can I buy this product?
The author said it will be in the DAZ Store in December.
This is a link to the author's DAZ Store so check sometimes:

Will it work in version 4.8?
