Who's that model?
I saw a few characters mixed in there:
Dayton or Heidi (+one of the 3DU brows?) + Paisley for TJ8 + lip morph upper lip turned inside + fawne or Heidi (skin?)

What do you mean by "you can clear any morph deltas from teeth using geometry editor vertex mode within Daz"?

I use the basic band from Jewelery Basics for Genesis 3. https://www.daz3d.com/jewelry-basics-for-genesis-3-female-s
I applied it to a G8 character and then moved it into place. Once I had it where I wanted it, I saved it as a wearable preset, and then use that for any G8 characters for which I want a wedding band. It does require some minor tweaking when fitting characters with different finger sizes (scale mostly) but that doesn't take too long.
Export the tring as OBJ (to bake its adjsutments so that it fits on load), reimport, and then use the Transfer utility to rig it - it should then AutoFollow any morphs.
Why do user-made morphs erode the teeth? It is preventable?presumably you can clear any morph deltas from teeth using geometry editor vertex mode within Daz. Then export to fix your teeth/mouth position in some other program, and then import back into Daz as morph, and save over the offending morph.
I noticed some G8 expression morphs had changes to teeth shape on them, which is pretty annoying, but for most part expression and head morphs dont result in teeth issues.
This will likely be less of an issue with G9 mouth because PA's will probably be more conscious of changes they make when supporting mouth shape. G9 mouth seems to have rigidity group or something that prevents the G9 figure head morph projections messing up the mouth and teeth. Correct if wrong.

Yes, having any other morphs applied before crating your own will cause problems - not to mention making it impossible to share or sell the result, should you wish to. Also, if you use ZBrush at least, don't divide the figure while working on the morph as even setting the division back to 0 some shape changes will remain.
Thanks for helping, Richard!
"impossible to share or sell the result, should you wish to"
No problem. I never wish to.
"having any other morphs applied before crating your own will cause problems"
Well, this baffles me. If by "any other morphs" you mean including base resolution morphs, then I have two questions.
1. Why? Why would base resolution morphs even be a problem? I don't get it.
2. Why does the Daz Store contain a product that produces new morphs precisely in the condition of prior morphs being applied? I’m talking about the Combine/Spawn feature of Shape Splitter here. The entire value of that features is precisely making a new morph when other morphs have already been applied. The existence of this product in the Daz catalog seems to contradict the notion that "having any other morphs applied before crating your own will cause problems". Again, I don’t get it

Why do user-made morphs erode the teeth? It is preventable?I have recently ventured into making my own custom morphs for Daz figures. I’ve noticed that my efforts often result in teeth with rounded out corners and gaps between them, as if eroded by acid. But it seems not many folks have even mentioned this problem, which I find really odd. Why is there such silence about a problem that I imagine must show up for anyone who ventures into making their own morphs?
Most recently I noticed eroded teeth when using Shape Splitter’s Combine/Spawn feature to combine a bunch of head morphs. The resulting singular morph had eroded teeth. Why does this keep happening?
One thing I did find was some mention of HD morphs causing this problem. I didn’t get a clear understanding of the issue, but I suspect they meant to say that you will get eroded teeth if the figure you start with before making your own additional/derivative morphs has any HD morphs applied to the teeth.
Is this so?
And if so, is it the ONLY cause of the problem? Or are there other causes too?
I suspect there are other causes to account as well because I have encountered the same problem with making morphs for the Antonia figure, wherein I had no morphs of any kind applied to the figure before making my own.

With the figure or main part selected, they should be over on the Parameters Tab someplace. In the Search box could try typing "FMK" to find some of them.
There is supposed to be a readme in the package too.
Similiar idea for the others.
IF the morphs are not encrypted, one could be opened in a text editor, use the search method to find "group" and that should be where it's to be found on the Parameter Tab.

Precisely, I'm using XTransfer for the morph, I need the texture too.
OK, well I don't have either product, but XTransfer says: "Only transfers morphs. All Skins need to be applied from source Material Presets." so it would not be touching the textures, you will need to manually apply them. So where are you getting "BearSkin.dsf" from? Why can't you apply the textures from the "/Runtime/Textures/Joequick/MrBear/" folder?

I zeroed out that morph and saved the modified assets again, but it did not correct the issue, sadly.
Oh, and did have Hidden Properties revealed :)
I had a similar issue last night after updating a product from a third-party site where the PA thought it would be cool to set the default for his character morph to 1 and so it was applied to all G8F figures automatically. In my case the character was a "teen" and thus the considerable height and weight shift was quite noticable. The previously listed steps by other users did enable me to fix this issue - in my case the "Save Modified Assets" dialog listed the rogue third-party morph as one of the files to be amended which I guess was a sign that the process worked.
However, like you I did have a "currently used" value for a "3DU Age in years" parameter that I couldn't shift. Mine was set to 1 but it did not appear to be messing anything up so I left it. Your value of 9 may be having more of an effect?
How to apply Genesis 8.1 skin on Genesis 8?you can always use map transfer between the 2 UVs on G8.1 like I do
only issue is you may get a separate body and head map you need to join, easy enough in Gimp or your editor of choice
I think that was going from G8 to G8.1 UV though not the other way
Gen 8 Cross-Resource KitWhat are you trying to do? For example, you have an item for G8F that you want to apply to G8M: you load the item onto G8F, dial in the Cross-Figure morph, then run the script. I can't remember if the figure needs to be selected or the follower, but that's the basics of how you use it.
Text-based bone correctionI meant that if the morph moves the eyes, so you don't have to move them using the controls, then you will have to move the joint centres to match or they will not pose correctly - either way you are going to have to have some ERC links, the only question is which.
Exporting a ready to render scene - iRaybarbult said:
You would have to install Daz Studio on the laptop to render in Iray. You could use Content Gatherer to zip up only the files used by the scene and then transfer that zip file to your laptop. On the laptop you would have to unzip those files into a library and set Daz Studio Content Directory Manager to look at that library.
@Barbult - for the past 3 hours been checking this tool, tried installing it, read hundreds of comments from you helpin people with this issue throut the past years, but somewhow it doesn not work for me. So I am on a Mac, Been on a mac for a decade. Now I am moving to a PC. I want to move a specific scene and render it there. How do I export it with all the files that are used in it ? please please reply. thank you so much
Need some help saving an Expression using Addy CharactersHello,
I want to save some customized smile expressions that I made for one of my characters by dialing in several different expression morphs. Some of these customized smiles are created using expressions that come with the Stella, Lyla and Daphne characters by Addy. I have saved customized expressions for characters before and I am familiar with the process, but what is different this time is that when I go to select all the morphs that have been used from the list of all the installed expression morphs, I cannot for the life of me find the Addy character expressions in that list. Every other expression morph that I own seems to be there just not the ones that come with the Addy characters.
I have checked under the Currently Used option of the Parameters tab to see if the Addy Character Expression sliders turn on other morphs, but nothing shows up as being currently active except for the Addy character expressions.
Does anyone know why I am not able to find them in the list of expressions when I try to save a customized character expression?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
nabob21
Edit: I should state that the Addy characters are for G8F and I am using G8.1F but I have looked under the expression list for both G8F and G8.1F.
Text-based bone correction
All right, then. If I can't edit the geometry or bones directly, it sounds like it'll be easier to just remake the morph. Thank you for your assistance!Richard Haseltine said:If you move the eyes then you are going to need to adjust the joint centres, so some kind of ERC is going to be unavoidable.

TD, this is all fantastic, but I'm confused. Your description/graphic implies that there're vein morphs in SY's package that you're controlling with your morphs. I don't see any reference to veins at all in my parameters when my G9F (with some SY morphs active) is selected. Maybe I'm missing something. Where are the vein morphs to be found?
Thanks for any clarification.
They are part of SY's free morphs, I am unable to bust them into separate zones, so just showed my personal preset control to dial and undial them without having to find them all separately. Basically I only dial in half of the head morphs. These are the only veins I know of so far for G9, just showed them for reference. I can add my preset, but it is exceedingly simple to make yourself. Let me know if you find any other vein solutions, and I will be happy to experiment! TD
My point, though, is that I have SY's 200 morphs, but can't find any reference to veins in Parameters with G9 loaded. Where in Parameters are you finding the vein morphs? I'm selecting "All" and searching on SW vein or vein and coming up with nothing.
type in veins, in the G9 search window, they will show up.
Those aren't from the SY 200 free morphs. All of the SY 200 show up when you type the word "free", and they have that word in each morph. The veins morphs are from SY Hero Bodies.
Need info for Face Morph Kit for Genesis 8 Female2/12/23 2:04 p.m.--I just purchased this morph kit and, as usual, if there is any directions of how to find it or use it, it's hidden. I can't find the controls anywhere. Can anyone direct me to where I can find it? And why doesn't DAZ make it simple to find instructions for their add-ons/programs? I know this isn't the only thing I've gotten and can't find info on, much less the program itself.
2/12/23 7:00 p.m.--UPDATE: I just did a scan of my purchased list and found two more I have no idea where to find them in the program. They are Twizted Detailed Face Morphs for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Female and Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs.
