"Current values" being which, exactly? Not only morphs but also pose, translation/rotation? Also surfaces (materials)? What about geografts?
With Geografts I have not yet found a way to save a character with all the geograft morph sliders intact. They tend to retrun to defaults.
Add original spuggles or special edition spuggles backmaybe someone with approval from DAZ can make a Genesis 9 morph of him

I wonder if this is down to a Rigidity Map, and perhaps a bad pick for reference points - the Rigidity map would limit the extent to which the morph transfered and bad choice of reference might lead to parts moving in odd directions as they tried to follow the reference.
Tapirdary for Horse 3 [commercial]Okay, I need to modify my statement. As I moved in for a render, I saw that the 'ring' that held 3 sections of the harness together on both sides of the shoulders was missing. On closer inspection, the strap that lays over the hump, sinks into it. I have tried a variety of adjustments for the harness, but they are more for the reins and hooking up to the poles. I even tried Mesh Grabber, but that was a bust. I loaded a DH3 into the scene and the buggy/harness to compare and the ring is there, and strap does not get lost inside its body.
We need a morph to adjust that harness area across the hump/shoulders. Unless someone with more skill than me (pretty much everyone else) can figure how to overcome this.

YIKES! a horse with stifles, hocks and fetlocks that bend like this couldn't stand in a stable let alone do a sliding stop. No wonder the poor animal is spitting the bit out and screaming in pain.
As for the breed morphs...Sorry but the TB morph looks nothing like a thoroughbred ( the breed I worked and competed on for decades)- a morgan /quarterhorse cross maybe but a TB.. sorry no.

Whenever you create a custom shape, you will run into this problem anyway. Same for expressions.
Therefor a custom character is not finished, once you have the shape right.
Part 2 of your work is the harder one. Create matching JCMs and expressions.With G8.1 and G9 you only need to make sure the facial bones are in the right place (a spot of "fine tuning" is usually required), and the FACS bases expressions will work with your character.
It's a far superior system to the crappy full head morph for each expression and/or corrective morphs we have been using for the past 20+ years.

DAZ Horse 3 - StatusThe updated Horse 3 (front) is definitely more in line with Horse 2 than it was before, unless I'm just loopy at 3AM. It looks considerably different to me than the version used in most of the product promos, so I'm wondering if it was finished recently enough that vendors didn't have an opportunity to use it in their renders (which would be really unfortunate).
Edit: Aha, the figure now loads with a thoroughbred morph dialed in.
DAZ Horse 3 - StatusThe base horse figure looks better to me than it did at early release, but I don't think I'm going to pick up any of the addons right now. I like the look of Predatron's horse better for actual horses, and I mainly got Horse 3 on the admittedly slim chance it ends up being a base for animals/creatures I can use.
There aren't any additional breeds in the morph list, just general size/shape morphs. I don't recall if those were there before because I didn't play with it much. I don't see any additional materials, so I suspect the people who anticipated "upgraded access" meaning a discount were correct.
DAZ Horse 3 - StatusErm ... I don't really see why I'd need this at all, having the great low-res Horse bundle that Predatron created a while ago for the rustic stuff, and Horse 2 with various carts and options for all the rest. Especially seeing that the new horse really doesn't look all that great, and doesn't even come with texture or morph options by itself. So - what's the incentive here?
Is there a solution for combining all used morphs as one and get the rig right?I know how to export a mesh, and reimport it again as a single morph. So a character doesn't have to deal with many morphs.
The problem is, the rig, ussually a bit of a mess.I wonder if there's a solution, that will take care all of those, the morph and the rig by a single click.

The reindeer was beautiful. I'll admit I would have bought the horse for that if it was in my budget at the time. I wonder if there is any chance they'll release the reindeer again? If I remember right the Sleigh Ride bundle was only for a limited time.
DAZ Horse 3 - StatusDecent discount if you already got the Sleigh Ride bundle. And the wagons both come with harneses and reins. Splitting out the harnessed horse poses is a bit of a cheap shot, to give the bundles more products. But I suppose someone who got the Sleigh Ride might just spring for the new cart and poses.
I'll admit I'm not really impressed with the horse, but there are worse ones out there. And this one does morph into interesting other critters.

Definitely not intending to include any MR without thoroughly understanding how each creator is allowing use just wondering if I was understanding the general statement I was seeing on many about freebies. Thankfully some have more info in the free to view/read readmes while a few others may have more info in the downloadables after purchase(?). Wasn't sure if there was a general MR rule somewhere like the editorial one. I can definitely see where that might be a concern someone not making many changes with the included MR and possibly making a competeting product that is free. Trying to limit what I get for Gen 9 so it is primarily just MR and I can learn more about sculpting as my gen8.1 /8 are painfully slow loading with all the morphs and things I've gotten over the years for them. I'll definitely check out Jay's webinar and hunt down that thread with Mada (thanks @Pendraia). @FenixPhoenix That sounds like a more intuitive way of editing skin than flat in photoshop. Do you have a guide somewhere on importing Daz assets into Substance to work on or a resource you found useful for learning?
Since you're familiar with photoshop, you'll find Substance Painter quite intuitive since Adobe bought it and has implemented similar things to photoshop. I frankly learned my way around it by experimenting and then watching videos found on youtube. With each project, I learn something new, so I'm always learning as I go. That said, Jay made a tutorial showing how to create Face & Body Painting for DAZ Characters with Substance Painter which may be a really good place to start, as he explains everything in a simple way and covers many of the basic functions.
Gen 9 Sharing What I've Created and Any Merchant Resources??It's my understanding that morphs created using an external modelling program like zbrush or hexagon can be shared via the the morph files for the morph found in the data folder. If they are small morphs like adam's apple you possibly could get away without providing a pose preset as well especially with a freebie. The morph needs to be saved at zero and then saved as a pose preset at the percentage you wish people to use it at.
If you are sharing dialled morphs you need to save it as a shape preset.
To my knowledge reverse deformation is mainly used when you are importing the morph into the program from the external modeller and you aren't using the default genesis shape. That said Genesis 9 has some interesting developer tools accessed from the parameters tab that have alternate methods for genesis male and female shapes I suggest you look for mada's thread on developing for genesis 9 as she had some useful tips which should make the process easier for you.
