Yep, I changed the wheels n tires on it, the ones that came with it originally were more styled for a 1930 and 31 Model A, so I used a wheel of my 1929 Woody, the wheels are much more accurate for a 29 model.

I had to separate the bumpers, because the material zone the bumpers fell into were part of the fender mat zone, that would also be incorrect, as the bumpers on a real Model A Ford would be nickel plated, ie. chrome in modern times of course.

I also notice the bumper zone problem. I think there is a seperate frame and tires download with the bumpers on the frame. You could get it, then pull the body onto it and it would solve the problem. Maybe too much work.

It's from the newest version of Sketchup 2014. One of the first ones for that build.

Here's a real nice very detailed 350 Chevy engine perfect for any hot rod. It's a sketchup conversion and comes in very low poly and loads instantly. Uses almost no memory. No crashing! This would look awesome in your 32.

I picked this little beauty up this morning over at the Sketchup warehouse. The tires were kinda screwed up with color zone trouble, BUT the spare was perfect on the rear. So I made four copies of the spare and placed them on the car. With a little DZfire shader help it turned out awesome with detail. It has an engine in it also with all the wireing and belts. Big sized file after converting, but still loads fast and no hesitation on camera panning.

NOW...TO CUT THIS BABY UP INTO A NICE HOT ROD NEXT!

Hi there, you are most welcome! I think my story is on an older page though - just scroll down for older pages. I think I have about 3 pages and it should be on page 2 down. I have even tried to build my own model in Bryce which is not actually a model creation program but more for landscape creation. Just want to add here that Bryce was free some time back together with Daz Studio and Hexagon. I got all 3 these free which helped a lot. Only Daz Studio is still free but I think not for too long as on the preview it states now for a limited time only - grab it while you can!

I remember seeing gas stations and garages looking like that back in the day as well!

I was surfing the internet this morning looking for some cool old gas stations and garages to use as backgrounds for some car renders and I found this photo. Recognize this old gas station? It is the original Rosies Gas station that the sketchup model is made from. I thought I would post this for those of you who know that model...cool huh?
