Wear Them All - Autofitting Clones and Clothing Smoothers for Genesis 3 Female(s) | Daz 3D
Wear Them All - Autofit Clones Expansion for Genesis 3 Male(s) and Genesis 3 Female(s) | Daz 3D
You can at least get the generation 3 and 4 clothing fitted to G3, then re-fit them to G8/G9
Assuming they don't shatter. One of the big problems with transfering the Victoria 3 generation clothing to Genesis was that the joins between the origianl pieces of clothing weren't welded together strongly enogh to handle the dynamic stresses of trying to follow the level of morphing that the genesis products requiered. Believe me, I spent a lot of time back then trying to fit all my favorite old V3 generation oufits on Genesis characters and a hefty percentage of them just didn't work very well... at least, not without taking them into a modeling program like hexagon to redo the seams, as a number of the more advanced users were doing back in those days..

Yeah, I agree. I have tried, but GV3 doesn't seem to transfer well from Gen3 with GenX2.
I did it many years ago and as I recall the trick was to make a GenX clone of the base Victoria 3 and then a seperate Genx clone of the full Glamous Vicki verson, then remix the resulting morphs along with the commecial V3 to Genesis clone on the target figure.... a lot of tweeaking and side by side comparisons. That said, the issue I mainly recall running into was that the old V3 clothing wasn't built to genesis specs and had a tendency to come apart at the seems when autofitted.

I own them but admittedly I don't think I've had the time to try them.
These two converters are practically useless for me. I always have to force the conversion because "Convert Files" does absolutely nothing, and the result is almost always distorted, resembling the Michelin Man.
It's a mystery to me why these products are still being sold in the shop.

Well - first coupon gets me an additional 50% off up to 5 items on my filtered wishlist, or up to 20 if I include a new item. My filtered wishlist has zero qualifying items. Then there's the 'Explosive' items - get one free with coupon or up to three free with a new item. AND - I already own all six.
<yawn> - bed time. I'll flip a coin when I get up - heads I'll log in and see if there's anything of interest
Not to mention that the Fuse new items are a pretty meh bunch to chose from, so to qualify for the 20% off I'd have to buy a couple of items I really have no need for. For a really good discount I might go for the subway, except I already have four or five abandoned subway sets* (as a lot of DAZ and Rendo vendors seem happy to just make variations on things already in the stores), and the combined discounts, including 8 tokens, is still less of a discount than I was getting just a month ago where the average item in my carts was pushing 90% off, and it's inevitable that the DAZ marketing team will resort to the uber steep discounts again in the near future so I'm happy to be patien Whatever, I've gotten quite used to promotional categories being entirely empty, as today's kablamo offer is, due to having previously bought them all, or if not empty then the remaining selection is entirely filled with stuff I've passed on a zillion times like old expression packs, bundles where I already own all the individual items, and ancient stuff from the days of victoria 2, though lately, of course, I also have to filter out all of the items that I've previously bought at Renderosity. When we're here at the end of the month and I still haven't used my premier $10 off coupon, you know that a month's sale and new item selection has been incredibly lackluster.

Do Victoria 4 and Michael 4 Not Work In The Alpha VersionNeither [Victoria 4 nor Michael 4] will load into the [Alpha Version] scene at all. I've tried double clicking, merging into scene etc. Re installed. Not working. Weirdly, Aiko 3 works just fine

Michael 9’s introduction includes the “Michael 9 HD Fantasy Mega Bundle,” which is marked as Inactive and leads to an “Oops!” page. It would be a good idea to update that.
Meanwhile, Victoria 9’s introduction includes the text “Get the Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle today!” That’s the literal name of a product listed right below, which is also marked as Inactive and leads to an “Oops!” page. It would be a really good idea to replace both the item and the text with something that people can actually buy.
Finally, the “Shop all Genesis 9” banner prominently links to ten “Inactive” items. They should really be replaced with currently available items, because that level of neglect on one of the site’s most prominent pages is going to turn off potential customers. If it had looked like that a year ago when I was getting ready to join, I might not have. I definitely don’t regret joining, but I would have been hesitant to commit to something that looked like it might be unmaintained and possibly on the verge of breaking down.

lowpi bone minionsIt's not that hard. Just have to make reasonable compromises as to the information that's lost. The same sort of thing happens when you convert a G8/9 pose to a Victoria 3/4 character. They have a single abdomen bone and a single chest bone. That means there is a combination and loss of information, and with the V3 buttock bone, some information from the G8/9 Pelvis bone has to be split between the V3 buttocks too. However, it works reasonably well if the programmer is sensible about how the pose information is interpreted. Regards, Richard[Released] Look At Me III [Commercial]

Genesis 2 Appreciation ThreadA quicky.
The new freebi in the freebi section, the retro swimsuit. The hair on Stephany is also from the freebies, though for Genesis.
I tried to simulate the retro top. Went fine on Stephanie (after a little weightpaint), but Victoria exploded without I could see why, So I left hers unsimulated.
The seaside environment (Predatron) is a little weird, you can't really see where the water starts, so it was some trial an error.

There may be an issue where an old version of the Bone Minion - Create Heavyweight Bone Minion script was included with this release. On executing Bone Minion - Create Heavyweight Bone Minion and selecting Michael 4 or Victoria 4.2, you should receive a dialog like this:

If you do not see this message (and then the following dialog), the script is the old create heavy bone minion script and will not create the V4/M4 Heavyweight Bone Minion correctly. Please try the attached script and see if it works instead.
The attached script worked well!
Excellent! It sounds like I need to do an update.

[Released] Bone Minion Batch Converter for Generation 4 Poses [Commercial]
The Bone Minion series of products revolutionized how poses were converted for Daz Studio, enabling poses to be used from different figure generations by converting them on-demand. Apply a pose to the Bone Minion, and it would be automatically converted on the fly. However, sometimes you just want to have and use a pose preset.
The Bone Minion Batch Converter Generation 4 (i.e., for Michael 4 and Victoria 4 Poses) will work with your bone minion products to save pose presets to be used later. It allows you to convert entire pose directories at once, by using your installed Bone Minion products to convert the pose, and then saving the pose preset.
Automatically convert your entire library of Generation 4 poses using the Bone Minion Batch Converter!
The Bone Minion Batch Converter Genesis script works with any installed Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for XXX product to provide batch execution for automatically converting your Michael 4 and Victoria 4 poses. Easily select the Poses presets in your library, select an output directory, and execute the script. Even better, icons and categories are copied from your original pose to the new pose presets.
- Convert Full Poses and Partial Poses to Pose Presets, that can be used on any machine, even ones without Bone Minion installed
- Uses any Generation 4 Bone Minion product installed (i.e., Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 2, Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 8, Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 9, etc.), even future products (i.e., if a Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 10 product comes out, the script should work with it.
- Includes Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 3!
- Copies icons from Generation 4 Poses for a professional look
- Copies Smart Content Products! Converted Poses will be organized into similar products as the original items. The converted product mirrors the original items' products, organizing multiple converted items into one converted product and even using the product image from the original products.
- Converted Poses are Smart Content enabled!
- Automatically convert your entire library of poses with one operation! (except for Hierarchical Poses if there are any, which need the props loaded first, but then you can convert all poses for those props with one step
INCLUDES Bone Minion for Generation 4 Poses for Genesis 3 to provide conversion of Generation 4 (Michael 4 and Victoria 4) poses to Genesis 3.
The Bone Minion Batch Converter uses your existing Bone Minion for Generation 4 for XXX products.
Without the correct Bone Minion products installed, the script cannot convert your Genesis poses to the target figure generation.

Fair warning: despite the URL, it's a Genesis 9 only outfit included in a Victoria 9 related bundle.
Edit : it's not clearly explained in the description, but the skirt from the Cozy Dreams Outfit for Genesis 9 is using dForce while the sweater is conforming only.

Those both feel much more anime inspred than the Girl, who was a riff on Tex Avery's famous "Red" character from cartoons like Red Hot Riding Hood and Swing Shift CInderella, and both of these were made by established artists who already do their own toon styles. FWIW, IIRC the original The Girl (back in the days of Victoria 3) was not originally a DAZ product but one created by a PA, KGoossens, that DAZ bought. The Girl 4 was a pretty solid clone of that character, as was The Girl 5 for Genesis, but the subsequent The Girls all deviated further and further from the original design, with the Girl 8 only being vaguely similar. Given that Aiko was a much more popular character that followed a similar progression arc over the generations and that Aiko 9 ended up behind the DAZ connect paywall for Premier, my guess is that if The Girl 9 ever appears, she'll follow a similar path.
