How can I split a head morph into separate pieces: Lips, Nose, Eyes?
I like this product, but are the morphs custom? If I apply one of the heads, does it apply a unique face morph, or does it change all the Genesis 8 female face morph settings?
See, I like the nose on one head, but prefer the lips on the other head, so I want to mix and match Eye, Nose & Lip morphs.
Is there a way to separate the morphs by Nose, Eyes, Lips, or are they already separated?

Genesis 8 Female example and improvement discussionGenesis 8 Female example and improvement discussionNovica & Forum Members Tips & Product Reviews Pt 12Going to do a new format :) Instead of all products listed across the top, I'm going to do them vertically with each product a distinct section. There won't always be comments for them, and if so, those will go across the top as usual. The character, hair, outfit will always come first, then the set / everything else. I may or may not list poses as I tweak them so much I don't want to promote something that is changed so much.
Myriel for Teen Raven 8
Has some nice eye colors (love the light gray) and the eyebrows are not lawn mowered. They're a tad asymmetrical with a couple stray hairs on one side. The eye shadow is a bit too dramatic for me overall, there needs to be a few more softer options. You can NOT tell the eye shadow very well from the thumbnails. VENDORS- scoot back from the eye enough so we can tell what the eye makeup does! The lip has good lines for detail, and the blush options are there (both peach and rosey.) There are several brow color options.
All That Gitters Outfit (G8F)
It is in the Zelara 8 Pro Bundle, and the back cowl is easy to simulate. (Just use the default settings.) It easily separated away from the arm.Evelyn Hair (G3F / G8F)
Has a lot of adjusts, and a lot of movements. You get different options for the tie (not shown) and it's an AprilYSH hair so you know you can do a lot of things with it. I like it when you can adjust the crown, hairline, and hairline height. This was out of the box. There are many colors too.Bellissimo Corridoio
Wow. The lighting that comes with this is really nice. And note it's a Daz Original so wait until it's on sale then nab it with your PC+ code to get $6 off. I'm showing you the out of the box lighting, with the ISO as usual at 135 and the Exposure at 13.45. You can lighten it up just like the promos. If you want to test the lighting, try rotating Y Orientation to about 270. (I haven't tried that yet, but it's my go-to for starting with changing up lighting.)Bali Jewelry (Gen8F)
Love this set. It has different colors for the jewelry, so if you need gold, bronze, silver- you've got it. In addition, two VERY handy options for movement with the necklace. Not only can you move it out over clothing (which means the entire thing) you can opt just to "raise pendant" so only that gets lifted! A very thoughtful setup by the vendor. In addition, these are offered as PROPS, meaning they load at ground zero. Handy for placing in a scene or a store.IG Sweet And Sassy Pose Collection Vol 2 (G8F)
Read what you get with it- 420 poses, and expressions. I took expression 02 then squeezed the brows a bit, pulled the inner left brow down, and opened the mouth a tad more. These expressions give you a great starting point. The ones I tested were very fluid looking, not plastic face.CDI Poses for Leisa 8 / G8F
CDI is Capsces Digital Ink. This came with the Leisa 8 Pro Bundle. Most, I wouldn't use as they are. However, there are some decent ones for leaning against things (and a variety for doing that.) I took one of the poses, simply bent the arm and lifted the hand so she appeared to be saying, "Wait a minute" or "Hold on, let's think about this first." Again, these give a good starting point and are easy to tweak. I do appreciate that CDI didn't just give us some barely-different poses from each other. The variety is very good.

Ugh! I remember my aunt got cancer probably from the photo chemicals or smoking like a chiminey... chim chim cheroo....
Those two renders are nice. Definitly worth the non scratchiness in the throat.

Who's Next to Join the G8 Family?Yes but wouldnt' you think that a Lilith 8 would have been released within the Halloween month? So at this point, with 2020 on the horizon I'm sure DAZ is already working on Genesis 9. I'm sure allot of what we will see here on out will be backlogged projects and packs for this generation, esp for the females since the male doesn't normally get released until a year later.Ah yeah, I mentioned somewhere else about how disappointing it was for me that Halloween was the perfect opportunity for Lilith 8 and nothing. I think it was in Leisa 8's thread, that even if a little bit later, it would have been nice. Also, I'm not sure about a Genesis 9 yet. Take this with a grain of salt, but I seem to remember reading a PA's blog where it was said that even if there is no official word from Daz, the way they are working or something they said suggests they are focusing more on improving the app itself than in a new figure, since releasing a new Genesis at this point would be probably even less of a jump than it was Genesis 8 from Genesis 3.
Well, apart from anything else, support for the version of Qt that studio uses to build its interface and plugins ended ... well, quite some time ago. (It uses version 4.something, I believe -- 4.5, maybe.) Support for a later version of Qt, 5.6, ended back in March 2019. Daz really desperately needs to move to some version of Qt 5 (assuming that version 6 isn't already out, which I don't know), and doing that will require a complete program rewrite. Which will also force a rewrite of EVERY plugin. A new base figure may even come along for the ride, who knows? But yes, it would not be at all surprising if the focus right now was on both improving version 4 tools while also building the next version of Studio.
I think DAZ_Steve himself said that they were focused on improving and adding to Studio itself right now, when he announced that Genesis 9 wouldn't appear in 2019.
For whatever it may be worth, Lilith 6 came out in August, and Lilith 7 came out in October. So who knows, maybe she'll pop up next August!
Current Version of QT is 5.13.
If you look at the change log you will see that a lot of work has been doen on refactoring elemnts of the application to remove older Qt dependencies.

Anyway, like I said in that other thread, I really hope Tasha 8 is not supposed to be a replacement for Lilith 8. That one is nice but not really the same (I'd say she's more like Arabella's "upgrade", if anything)
They really are differentYou left out Leisa 8. It's the hair and the lighting in the promos that removes the perception of difference (or, if you like, creates the perception of similarity). However, many people are complaining about the fact that Leisa, Jenni, and Robyn appear to be morph dials on Olympia/Victoria/_____.
Yes, we can morph dial our own. But, ideally, the 8 Core family would each be as distinctive from each other as possible. The recent run of somewhat similar faces does not appear to be an attempt to add more character types. No matter, with XTransfer I will now have convenient access to all of the Genesis 3 crowd (along with GenX'd prior generations).
but gen2/3 all look pretty similar as well
I've been thinking and saying that myself for a long time...like, how many of these releases are needed? Get those morph dials out and churn your own. It is a lot easier though. TEXTURES ... yeah, it would be cool to have more variety there for sure. Skin Builder is good, but it too is limited.
None of them are "needed". Been saying that for years, but I always get grief for it. I own one pro bundle and a handful of base characters and yet I never has issues with creating any type of character I need for a project from morphs or texture editing.
for sure. I succumbed to something not needed. I look at all those characters, and the heads I bought, and go .."why" :) I have enough morphs to create 50,000 different looks.

Robyn 8I agree with a lot of posters here. The character is pretty generic. The clothing is too.
The DEAL (Extra bundles, deeper discounts) made it an Insta-buy.
Since I had been lobbying Daz to bring this type of deal back, it didn't make sense to blow it off, when they finally listened.
Now if they will honour my request for more middle aged or older women (maybe Thai or Vietnamese themed) I would be VERY Thankful! We just got Leisa and Jenni, two middle aged sets of women.... I think you'd already be thankful! ;)
To me, there's nothing unusual about her, under the arm looks like a material stretch that's an error, and there's no incentives for people who own many of the Pro Bundles. Pass, again. That's two Pro Bundles in a row, which is unheard of for me. These gals are just repeats with slight tweaks, and I think if you have morph packs you can easily recreate or get very close to this character. I'm guessing, but other skins may be quite close as there's nothing that stands out on the face.
Has anyone commented yet on the lack of characters in the Add-Ons? The vendors didn't even make additional characters for this character release.
The vendors are also getting busy with holiday stuff -both in real life and in 3D work. Yeah its barely the holiday season, but when you have to get seasonal stuff in BEFORE the season, you gotta juggle. Can't catch them all. (or is it like Pokemon catch them all? I don't have time for games anymore... )
Btw, i DID like the clothes that were out with this set. And actually I had a character ready named Robyn... I thought, "there's a name no one will use....I'm sooooo original!" Oops. Haven't had time to rename it all though. :PRobyn 8I'll get just the Robyn 8 base character. I never buy Pro Bundles because of the cost and they usually have things I can't use. However, I was so hoping for a new male character. Leisa didn't get a male counterpart. I need more guys!
Robyn 8But the flat, V4-era-looking skin! Core characters should be state-of-the-art. Guess not.
The Pro Bundle comes down to $33.06 with one add-on, which would be the only reason to get it IF I wanted Robyn. But she's another soccer mum for Leisa and Jenni to hang with.
Hmm. Looks like yet another case of DAZ's marketing people not being able to write clearly The ad text reads "Along with any Robyn 8 Add-On Items to get an EXTRA 50% OFF* them", which by any rule of English only implies that the 50% off is on the Add-on items. It's currently applying to the Pro Bundle as well, however...
I believe that is just what it means. I have the pro bundle and one add on and each received the extra 50%.
