Yeah, I really didn't need the cleaning stuff bundle, but I bought it anyway.

Like all of my Face Transfer characters at the moment, this is a stock G9 figure, to which the FT2 shape and other shaping was applied, then in this case, the URHD Orla materials, and then I replaced the base color with the textures from my character. Lazy, but quick.)

Show us your Daz AI Studio ImagesI need to figure out how to actually make him in DS with G9 to use whenever. Used Victoria 9 base because I wanted a guy with freckles.
My prompt: "Beared brown haired man with blue eyes, wearing blue sweater, lying down in rustic bed, covered in a quilt, looking up at viewer with a smile, 8k, photorealistic, freckles, cottagecore, western aesthetic,"Seed: 2713146705 (I think?)
Newbie - new clothing item goes in "Lost and Found"Hello, new to Daz, and I would need help with an issue affecting several clothing items I just purchased.
One of them is D-Force Zephyr for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D, but I have the same issue with others as well.
First, it does not appear under "Wardrobe", it is under "Lost and Found" and does not have the "wardrobe" label on the thumbnail preview.
Ok, from there, I can right-click it and manually categorize it. It then goes in the wardrobe/dresses category, but still doesn't have the "wardrobe" label on the thumbnail like other clothing items do.
Next, if I have "Filter by context", it does not show up, event though this is for Genesis 9, and I have a Genesis 9 figure loaded in my scene and selected (tried with Victoria 9 and MGAB-Larissa)
If I disabled "FIlter by context" then it shows up and I can load it on the character.
Does someone know why its doing that and how to fix it?

All sorts of useful to me product today. Playground, apron, normal t-shirt, fun poses,
Haven't checked all clothing pieces, but the shadows on the shorts are baked in, which may not work well with some light settings. If you remove the base map however (left character), it looks almost the same, but with natural shadows. This is on G8F btw, using MMX Genesis 9 Clones autofit plugin.
Do I need a super computer to make animations with DS?I would add this, being a old dog. In time animation always required a "supercomputer" to be done, but it is also true that a "potato" computer today is comparable to a supercomputer of the past. What changes is "expectations", that is, the quality you want to achieve. If you lower your expectations then a potato will be fine.
The second issue is that the market has its own expectations as well, so a model of today tends to require a supercomputer. So you have two options here, either use new models then spend a lot of time simplifying them for your potato, or use old models which are already simple. In this sense using genesis 1 or victoria 4 will in general require less resources than genesis 9.
Ladies AND Laddies of Mousso appreciation threadWhen it comes to G9 & clothes, I'm honestly not bothered. I will mostly use G8F clothes on G9 or use G8F instead. It's only a few really good G9 characters that tempt me to G9 at all (and most are by Mousso). For the type of image I produce and the technical ability I have, G9 offers nothing I can use beyond that offered by G8F/M. In fact, due to my lack of artistic ability, the limitations caused by using Victoria 3 based characters tend not to have a detrimental effect on the images I produce (see here), either. Basically, I am the biggest problem with my making of images.
I have all Perlk's G8F/M freebie stuff & all of AmieAmy's too. Just not their G9 items.
Regards,
Richard

Out of Touch strand based hairs stop rendering after a certain amount of iterationsI can reproduce this.
1 - Load a character (e.g. Victoria 9)
2 - Load an OOT strands-based omni-shader hair, i.e. dForce Strand-Based Messy Low Ponytail Hair for Genesis 9 on the character
3 - Load KindredArts's Iray Light Volume kit - IGLKV Plain Room Volume
4 - Hit render - no need for lights or cameras or move the perspective or tweak anything
iray will crash sometime in the early stages, usually between 24 and 40 iterations in my case in 4K, and 7-8 iterations in 8K. Lowering the render resolution to 1080p will make it crash after about 200ish iterations. The GPU just becomes idle after that point.
I got iray server to crash too so it seems to be a broader issue than just daz itself.
By changing the hair to Chevybabe25's Space Buns which is also a strands-based, omni shader hair, the issue went away. So something is up with outoftouch's newest hairs and KindredArts's light volume kit.Render your buys! Use buys from the current month and the previous month of sales
I thought there would be more items from last month, but the only one is STF Brutal Gear - Barbarian Circlet.
The render was created for Llola Lane’s RENDER A MONTH Challenge 2024. This year global theme is animals, and September is all about mythical or fantasy ones. Hence the Hellborn Dragon looming in the shadow

My usual duo for these challenges is back in the Words of War world with their friend Jada (and now her husband Zale). The four of them are now Near the end of an 'Hellborn run', one misstep away to total disaster:
Victoria and Lacey marked this afternoon on their respective agendas: they didn’t want to miss an opportunity to play Words of War with Jada, especially because this time, Jada and her husband Zale were able to play together, thanks to Zale’s parents keeping an eye on the couple’s child.
The whole group spent some time slowly making its way in one of their favourite dungeons with Lacey opening the way (ready to retreat in the shadows if necessary, disarming traps, opening doors), Victoria ready to get the attention of any monsters, Jada keeping everyone alive and Zale taking care of killing monsters, one swing of his gigantic two-handed axe at a time.
They are not near the end and they only now need to avoid being detected by the Hellborn Dragon roaming at the heart of the dungeon.
With Lacey keeping an eye on the dragon and Jada channelling a cloaking spell, will the group succeed and get back to the inn with treasures from the dungeon?
All items should be listed on the gallery.

I initially wanted to show him more, but the Contemplation Pool's walls are large and I needed more space for the group of characters so I pushed further and further away but in the end, even if it is looming in the shadow, ready to strike at the first missstep, I think its glowing skin should catch anyone eyes

They are a couple of elements I would have liked to add, like some steam coming from around the legs of the dragon in the water, but I have no idea how to do it (I have some VDB products, but they are still a bit of a mistery to me) and I wasn't able to get Jada's stave to look like I wanted (it's a great product with lots of options).
But there is always another render
What Genesis 9 Figures come with full anatomical elements? With the older Genesis figures the Anatomical Elements were part of many adult-age character bundles - the Pro Bubdles or, for Genesis 8.1, the various themed bundles. So it wasn't that they came with Victoria, but that they were part of the Victoria whichever Pro Bundle.

Then check to see if the character has textures for the Anatomical Elements.
Yes, I have seen the textures with the characters, but I was under the impression, as with Genesis 8 that certain main Daz Originals figures (like Victoria and Micheal 8) would come with the actual geometry. As mentioned above, I did look into both Starter Essentials and it's Expansion packs and neither has the geometry.
What's with artist page promo images not having what's on them in the store?I believe you are correct, it simply looks like victoria with make up and possibly another skin

Since MagicBrush store is on sale again today I checked the pic used as their "store icon" on the sales page to see the image that started this thread: it's actually one of the promo pic for MB Punk Buns Hair which is the oldest product available in their store.
There are no promo credits on the hair page so I don't know which character was used (maybe it's one of the characters the hair has fit morphs for?) but now you know why it was chosen as their store icon.
My guess: it's Victoria 9, with another set of brows and her foundation makeup option applied (it'll make her freckles less visible):

I also applied one of her lips makeup option, and I used 'G9 Eyebrows Fiber Style 02' which I think is part of the free Genesis 9 Starter product.

The issue I am facing is not her lips; it's more that she's too top-heavy for the outfit I wish to dress her in; I am experimenting with the body shape sliders.
i think part of the point is that those biguns need to poke and bulge out from the clothes, for the most part. Some post week just to keep the nipples covered at all in anything.... well, maybe elastic cloth.Be caeful, you'll poke an eye out.
@daveso Rofl. I think she's supposed to be a lingerie model, to put it politely. Um. Or something. I'm going to stop guessing.
LOL with some of those morphs, I think 'clothing optional' with an emphasis on opting-out would likely be the intended use.
After all, why should Victoria get to have all the fun in the temple with that sword?
