There's Always Another Sale Thread -- Discussions Only Pt 2
I was going to get the bundle and the inexpensive addons, but stopped when I saw the editorial licenses. A shame-these cars look kind of cool. I've already dropped enough money ever for editorial licenced assets for the Star Trek bundles, which I can't use outside of just making the renders on my computer. ELs are terrible and I will not spend any more money on them.
EULA Update & Editorial Licenses Coming to DazGiven that some parts of today's car bundle have the restricted licence and other parts don't, I feel I need to re-express my displeasure at the extremely poor way these products are marked on store.
It has long been possible to add an EL product to the basket without the store showing that it's EL. I know users have added some new Daz+ item to a cart to trigger a sales deal without ever properly inspecting the product page. One can add an item to the cart from the store's list page, check out with it, download it and use it without ever being shown a notification of the EL licence.
Now that bundles can apparently include a mix of EL and non-EL products, we now have an entirely new way for users to purchase these products without being informed.
Bundles SHOULD NOT include a mix of licences without being clear about the restrictions on the main bundle page; (Personally, I would argue that mixed bundle licences shouldn't be a thing at all, but if it is going to happen, it HAS to be clearly shown). The Star Trek Fan-Art bundle at least showed that the bundle was EL on its product page; this bundle does not have any warning on the bundle page about the mixed licencing.
I continue to maintain that if Daz actually care about users following licences, they need to make this clearer in the store - in the thumbnail listings and in the cart - and provide a clear way to make it possible to keep track the restricted usage in Daz Studio itself; I do not have the time or patience to have to double check the licences on any asset I've grabbed out of Smart Content.

Campfire stories
Out of luck to find work, Will went to the camp site at the high peek of mount Souza. There he met Chris, a former star-fleet pilot, and proud owner of a ship named Century Goose. Chris was in company with his first mate, Naomi, and the bot DBU-1802. Chris was looking for an additional crew member for his transportation operations, as Naomi had decided to jump ship and retire.

Not to be late for a wedding
The crew of the spaceship Century Goose, got a very odd transport request. Crates with special flowers for the wedding of the daughter of Governor Fidel van Stout, Gabriella van Stout. The wedding was to take place in the only town on the planet Foxton, Foxton city. The flowers are very special can cannot be grown at Foxton, as they require an atmosphere with a high level of Argon, an atmosphere humans cannot survive in. The flowers can only grow on Basilax XII, far out in the outer rim. Suddenly, on the way back, the Argon FLTZ feeder unit sounded an alarm. There was some kind of blockage in the heat exchange unit, but a quick repair fixed it.

Computer says no
Will, Kento and Chris, three independent out rim cargo transporters, by some called smugglers, arrived at the moon Firo-VII to refuel their vessel Century Goose. The automatic fuel station refused to accept their transponder codes, it just said "Computer says no". Chris, who had worked at a similar station knew where to give it a little nudge. After the little nudge it said "The codes are old but they still checks out" and then they could finally fuel up.

A political marriage
When they finally reached Foxton city on Foxton, the flowers were delivered and Will thought that this was it, but, Governor Fidel van Stout asked Will to be the unrelated witness at the marriage. A marriage witness is a tradition here in the outer rim, to prevent forced marriages. The witness has one purpose, to check that both parties are committed to the marriage by their own free will. Will realised that in this case, Gabriella van Stout was not. Her father has a huge debt to Sir Davac, his soon to be son in law, a debt that would be erased by the marriage.

The Escape
Will took Miss van Stout under the arm and they made a quick exit through the church backdoor. He found an air motorcycle, and they rode off towards the old water mine, in ancient times call an oasis. There, they met Max Fredricks, privateer and smuggler. They decided to come aboard his large ship, and leave Foxton for good. Mr Fredricks looked at Will and said, when Miss Stout could not hear, "I think you have something going on there..."

The Kiss
After they successfully escaped Foxton, and took a lift with Max Fredricks to the small moon of Zepa-VII, Will and miss Stout finally got s moment for themselves. Miss Stout said at the small bar table: "Will, you are my knight in shining armour, my hero, my prince!". Will got so touched that he moved over to her side, and kissed her, and poof, he was turned into a gigantic toad, and they lived happily ever after.

Hey there @Mattymanx - I'm a big fan of your work! The site I pulled the model from does not explicitly list any licenses for use, so I've reached out to the author to find out directly from them. I'll update when and if I hear anything back. I'd want to UV map the model before I released it, and I'm fairly novice at that - do you think you could help me out if it comes back favorable?

I did some work converting a Beretta 950B (.22 short) 3D CAD object I found online. Was quite the learning experience. Ultimately, I modified a duplicated barrel object to add a treaded extension, rigged everything with sliders, created a few material presets, etc. Unfortunately, the mesh is high poly, and because I didn't make the mesh myself, I don't believe I can release it. Also, I didn't unwrap the meshes for UV maps, so the materials look flat. I did post a suggestion here for "Modern Compact/Concealed Weapons", hoping Porsimo sees it...

. Yes, Danish comedian Victor Borge was a very funny guy as well as a good pianist (when he wanted to be). Several comedic skits. But probably the most famous is his phonetic punctuation marks skit. Well, it was very funny in the '60s.

I haven't watch the later group of Star Wars movies, but based on my memories of the first group, Ep. 4 - 6, I found in my runtime some options that may either give clothing for background characters (non-Jedi) or possibilities for Jedi robes with work. Unfortunately, most of my best ones were in the M3/M4 clothing and I am not listing them. Many were for females, but could work on males.

Unfortunately, flowing outfits for the guys seem to be scarce. I thought I had more Asian style robes, but couldn't track them down except one that is wrong for your purpose and exploded everytime I tried to use it. Maybe other folks on the forum knows of good options here or on Rendo that will work as Jedi robes.
I do know that good shader packs have been coming out that would fix any fabric issues even if the colors are wrong.

Yeah, well I just took the time and fixed up the Jedi outfit from Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) game.

Furious over 93799 Sci-Fi Add On Bundle - Why? Please ReadI agree with the OP, that it would have been better to list the
https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-space-kit-bundle
as requirement: Sometimes wishful thinking let's me forget to check out everything, before i buy.
Still, as a star trek fan i guess i would swallow it and buy the other bundle. Edit: it is 67$ atm.
Furious over 93799 Sci-Fi Add On Bundle - Why? Please ReadEach of the bundled packs state what they are an add-on for: NCS Runner, NCS Mess Hall, Sci-Fi Tech Gadgets, etc... And the sale page clearly shows the base items and the Star Trek add-on. This is more an issue of paying attention than poor advertising.
Furious over 93799 Sci-Fi Add On Bundle - Why? Please ReadHello All,
This is mainly a vent or a rant because this isn't the first time this happened to me, but it is a poor selling tactic. The first time it happened was with a artist selling an item, but this time this is a Daz product.
Okay, so I purchased item #93799, which is the Sci-Fi Fan Art Add-On Bundle. Being a huge fan of Star Trek, I figured this was a must have. So I purchased it. Of course, I went through everything starting with the character add-ons, and those were fine. However, when I got to the ship it wouldn't properly load. It kept saying that some items were missing. So naturally I think there is something wrong with the package. So I was ready to write to technical support about it, but I tried the other ship based packages today and they all had errors saying items are missing. I said to myself that can't be because why would they release a bundle with so many issues.
So after a bit more digging and pulling up the individual items I look in the requirements section, and each one of the ship based items is just an Add on. So I am here wide eyed about this because if you click on the bundle, in the requirements section it says: Genesis 9 Starter Essentials:
https://forum.daz3d.com/sci-fi-fan-art-bundle
Now if you go down to the decription. NO WHERE does is it say that it requires the individual NCS items.
Not for nothing, when you release an item like this and that it doesn't include a required item for it to work, SAY SO!
Yeah, now, I know that one might argue that the package says ADD-ON, but not to what. The skins and face shapes work fine given that it does tell you that it is for Genesis 9 and that you need the Genesis 9 Starter Essentials. BUT, there is NO mention of the required ship items. I only found out that you need each individual NCS package by clicking on the individual items and reading it's requirements.
Not for nothing, but that is a poor way to advertise a product and I am NOT happy about it, especially given the cost of the product.
There should be a paragraph right at the beginning, in addition to what is needed under "requirements", stating that the NCS product line is needed for ship add-ons to work.
Needless to say, I am quite disappointed. So yeah, I am going to return the package.
Just my 2 cents.
There's Always Another Sale Thread -- Discussions Only Pt 2I got the Sophia 9 bundle because A) I had a bunch of expiring tokens, B) I personally need more sci-fi stuff in general and C) I like the overall look of Sophia and what the bundle offers.
However, I agree that the recent releases are looking mostly the same. It's very similar to the Kara 9 Bundle (which was pretty cool). And when you add that plus the recent Star Trek bundles, it's a bit too much Sci-Fi in a short period. If another comes along like this, I might just get the character and that's it. I would have loved a Lady Luck bundle with Celtic fantasy assets and magical effects. I'd love for it to include:
Character-A dainty, Celtic look to rival Victoria (way too many characters look the same, too). Hair-A long flowing D-force with an addon that include magical effects. Makeup-Colorful makeup and also a golden skin variant of the character(just like Snow Queen). Outfits-Something trickster or magician themed. Unicorn-an addon to the Daz horse 3 with pegasus wings. Lucky special effects and magic weapons.
It would be strange (eh, maybe not for DAZ) but at least different. Come on, Daz, it's still March; It's not too late to make this kind of bundle!
Star Trek Builders Unite 8: THE REBOOTCould we get a Jeffrey Combs face shape? He's been like nine different Star Trek characters. Plus for Halloween we could do Herbert West.
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE QUATTORDICIMolto bello, ma si vede l'esterno tramite vetrate ^_^;;;
^_^
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO?

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Quest:_The_Adventure_of_Dai
Stile Star-Trek ? Stile Star Wars ? Stile Mass Effect ?

Star Trek Builders Unite 8: THE REBOOTI have never known Paramount/CBS to go after fan art as long as it's free. Even if it's not family friendly.
FWIW, they've joined the TeePublic fan art program. You can sell Trek stuff at TeePublic, as long as it follows their guidelines.
RedBubble also has a fan art program. It used to include Star Trek, but no longer does. Not sure what happened there. The stuff that was submitted when Trek was a "branded partner" is still for sale, but you're no longer allowed to submit new Trek stuff.
