Mechasar's Characters Catalog: Who's next? (commercial)
Well, I didn't need to try the instructions. Daz posted the morph updates in DIM this evening. Unfortunately they haven't fixed the problem of the missing texture files for the fruit. They are in the Product Library as a second Evil Pumpkin Add-ons zip package, but not available in DIM. I updated my help request. The request about the missing files is 13 days old now, without a single customer service response. Fortunately I was able to install the textures manually from the Product Library, but I prefer to install everything with DIM.
So the lips closed and eye movement morphs are working fine now. Thanks for the rapid fix. Here is Evil Pumpkin man after a feast in the desert. yes, it is strange. Some times these things just develop a life of their own as I'm working on them. But then with Evil Pumpkin man, how could the image not be strange?
Weird G8F Face Material Bug?I make adult horror erotic novels, the last one alone had over 6,000 renders. Another adult game I am making with alien sex is at 4,000, and the new novel is in the thousands, so definitely 10k renders by now (I wish Daz model creators would make a lot more sexy monster girls). Anyway, you think it is the base G8F duf,eh? I guess I can try reinstalling the G8F base then. The reson I used that morph above was to show the issue more promently, this is the base by itself- but if you look around the eyes and under the neck, you'll still see the issue.
Weird G8F Face Material Bug?Starting just today (why today, I do not know, I did not install or change anything), all my G8F characters (not the males) seem to have an issue where around their eyes there is a discoloration. Does not matter the model or skin, in fact, in thisrender I just opened a new G8F base and, as you can see it has this discoloration around it. It's so weird. It follows the face almost like makeup or something. There is no geoshell, no skin applied, this is just a plain, jane G8F base opened. Any hairstyle that I add also will have a visilble line on the scalp that you can see on the one with hair. Been using Daz for years now, I have done thousands of renders, I think more than 10k! I have never seen this, and I do not understand what is causing it. The rest of the body seems fine. If you notice, it's just the face material- you can even see how under her chin, the discoloration follows the "face" material. I am at a loss, but I have been working on this since 2pm (it's now 7:30pm here in Utah) and I STILL cannot fix it. lol
To reiterate, though I applied a head morph, that is just the base G8F model with her regular skin. And no matter what model I use, or if I even open a previous scene I saved with a differfent G8F in it, their faces are all like this now around the eyes and hairline.Rendering doesn't work anymore... Simple V9 image with no other propsThe Vinme warnings are probably related to a morph set by that PA, not to rendering.
That driver version should be OK, it's older than the one that is causing issues. Please post the log (attachments seem to be pretty consistently broken, so you will need to use an external host like OneDrive, Google dtive, DropBox etc.)
Something wrong with geometry editor's merge graph?More likely I know what you mean, but I still would say: Merging Fitted...function in Geometry Editor really can seamlessly weld the figure and sub-items together in terms of geometry, however it doesn't mean the 'merged single mesh' can handle the existing full body morphs and partial morphs.
They're different things... In other words, a PA sculpted a character and created a character's Full Body Morph on G8.x Base figure on which there was no such a 'merged geometry of an anatomy', so everything is 'perfect'. Now you dial this Full Body Morph on a Base figure with a 'merged anatomy', certainly it won't work fine, in most cases. You know what I mean...

Daz is really not supporting you. There is a new item in my product library that says Evil_Pumpkin_Morph_Correction.zip, but it has no download link. There is a product update to Evil Pumpkin Add-ons in DIM, but any attempt to download it fails, and the DIM log reports a network error.
All I can say is, let's give them more time. Sorry for that, meanwhile I'd be glad if you can use my instructions. Those are the same steps that would be included in the corrected morph file.
Something wrong with geometry editor's merge graph? Finally I got you... in fact you 'dialed' character's body morph on the 'merged figure'... In most of such or similar cases, you never make it work as there's no FBM (Auto Follow) on the 'merged part', i.e. the 'merged New Gen', unless you create a corresponding 'FBM' on the 'merged figure'.
But as I mentioned above, it's not a 'normal' way to manipulcate a case of a figure + a Geograft of anatomy...
How to. Custom G8 morph to G9 morph helpFSMCDesigns said:
yeah, it was just a custom body morph, but it did come with the G8 face, which is fine with me. The weird thing is, if I open the project after I saved it, the morph is there and works fine, but if I load a fresh G9, it isn't listed anywhere. Ideally I would love to have it listed un full body - people like it is in G8. Any ideas on what I can change to fix both issues?
You need to save the morph as a Morph Asset. Save ONLY your new morph. Drill down in the hierarchy and check only your morph.

Something wrong with geometry editor's merge graph? In fact the morphs should be made separately on the Geograft and the Figure other than on a 'merged single mesh', just like those add-on morph products for the anatomies... But even if you really insist on doing the former, the geometry would not come apart, intersect, overlap or sth.
Like this, I created a morph in Blender on the 'merged single mesh' (just on the welded edge) of the figure, still flawless... Maybe... have you converted the figure to SubD after merging ?

PS: Uploading doesn't work at this 'routine time' everyday...
Something wrong with geometry editor's merge graph?I'm a Blender user and using Diffeomorph Daz Importer (DDI) as well. However, if you just use Blender to make morph, fixing pJCMs, etc., suggest not use DDI but just standard OBJ export / import.
I post a merged one (G8M figure + DK Anatomy), flawless...
Something wrong with geometry editor's merge graph?I wasn't aware of this option in the geometry editor so I would export the figure and graft to blender and use the merge geometry plugin (can't remember the exact names of the tools in blender) diffeomorph, export as object and send it back to transfer rigging and morphs back to the character
Due to nudity rules of the forums, I can't post a screenshot but I've tried a couple times now with the same result. Some of the seems weld perfectly, but others either don't weld or weld to the wrong location.
Unable to use genesis 8 or 8.1 expressionsIf you are using DIM (or DAZ Central) to install your content, do not log in to Daz Studio, it is only necessary when one makes a concious and informed decision to use Daz Connect inside DS as their primary method for installing content.
When Daz Connect inside DS is installing content, it uses a different address that the other installation methods (taking twice the storage space if installed with DIM and Connect) and the installations made with Daz Connect take priority over the installations with all the other methods, even when the Daz Connect installed files are incomplete or corrupt (not uncommon). You didn't say from which character you "got rid of all the Base Pose head and Expression files". If you deleted the files from G8 morph folders, then you deleted ones that should not be deleted.
Carrara Non Photo Realistic Works 2K4 Gremlin - head morph did not work so dialled in a few different head morphs.
How to. Custom G8 morph to G9 morph helpIf it's just a body morph, more or less it should be fine, maybe just check fingernails and toenails to see if there's any tiny distortion. But potential issues of using Clones for converting head morphs would be some distortion on eyeballs, irises, mouth cavity, etc. depending on different custom figures... and expressions as well like Eye Blink... for the eyelids cannot be 100% well closed in nearly 95+% conversion cases...

DAZ Horse 2 displays a black "blob" where the genitalia is expected. The "Gelding" morph removes the "blob," but that does not solve the problem. Is it therefore necessary to buy another asset? Thanks to one and all.
As far as i know, DAZ doesn't offer private parts for the horse 2. Try renderotica and look for meipe

Tighter outfit that hugs figure more closely will give a better result from the auto weighting of Transfer Utility.

Yeah, the armpits and crotch are problematic.
I came across a pJCM tutorial on here a while back - I will do some addtl research into how to fix those.
Thanks again for your help.
Need help. Head for Genesis 8 Male is stock with a weird Morph and i can't fix it.for some reason. everytime i use Genesis 8 Male. the head always looks like this and the other morphs only screw it more up. any help?
Struggling with Weight Mapping for rigged ArtStation clothing [solved]Tighter outfit that hugs figure more closely will give a better result from the auto weighting of Transfer Utility.
You can replace the geoemtry with a better drape after Transfer Utility has given you the weight mapping.
to do a 'tight' version of outfit, you can put a negative pressure value on pattern peices so that they hug the figure more closely. Alternatively, change Warp/Weft to smaller value does the same thing to make a tight outfit.
The armpit and crotch on clothing are the areas that usually need a lot of tweaking with weight mapping and pJCM to fix them.

Something in the transfer to the new store software broke the order date info (it failed at that time without any change in DS) and the issue still hasn't been resolved - it is very annoying.
Ah ok. Then it is not a "user error". Thanks for solving that mystery :)
