This looks SO GOOD! I'm so in love with these shaders and I'm happy that Visual Style Shaders work super well with filament and filatoon.
Thanks! I do wanna clarify though that these aren't my Visual Style Shaders (they only work in 3Delight, and not Filament), these are the standard FilaToon shaders with some tweaked parameters (such as shadow smoothing and colours). I'm still in the experimentation phase, and would like to eventually create a pack of FilaToon presets recreating the look of Visual Style as close as possible.
Oh yeah I was saying that I'm using visual style shaders along with filatoon to achieve a more toony look, so I'll apply VSS first and then filatoon on top. ;D
Here's what I'm working on, I found some things like the leaves and antlers/branches are better with just VSS, while non toon hairs really benefit from VSS + Filatoon;
Filament Opacity Issues in DAZ 4.23If you noted toon hairs are solid geometry. Filament can't handle multiple layers of transparency, not even in 4.23. That's somewhat odd as opengl works fine with multipass, but filament doesn't have a multipass option.

Filament Opacity Issues in DAZ 4.23Just wanted to confirm if these opacity issues remain in the latest iteration of Filament.
The hair themselves just have a diffuse and opacity map and using the FilaToon Constant shader settings - it gets it close but not close enough. Are there other tips/tricks I can try here? Iray/3delight renders the hair much better but Filament is just that much quicker.

My computer isn't up to handling so many preview instances, I guess. The frustration due to so many crashes and visual glitches made it not very fun. USC2 wasn't really designed to preview all that grass,etc. It was more to see where the trees would be, I think. (There is a typo in my original message saying I turned on river pebbles and road pebbles. I actually turned those things OFF. Having those on would have probably been impossible.)
i turned my trees down to 25%. I'm crashing too much. It worked last time, we will see

Hai selezionato "viewport" nelle opzioni come motore di render?

Yeah, I imagine a lot of the lighting and environment adjustments from this version would help, but there are enough differences that a Filatoon specific product would be ideal.

Io faccio così:
-Scelgo come render engine: Viewport (immagine 1)
-Renderizzo e tutto funziona (immagine 2)

4.23.0.1 Release has issues with MF plugins, fixed in 4.23.0.3 Public Beta (which is 4.23.0.1 plus that fix), so no issues using the Public Beta thinkin it's a very beta-ish version.
@Totte, up to what version of macOS? I have not updated yet to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 and I am still on Sonoma 14.7.

I run 14.7 on this one, and 15.0.1 on my little M2 air, mostly for testing things. I need to know that other things work as well. When I jumped to 14 from 13 I knew the menues would be a problem but it was fixed rather promptly. I don't know of any known issues with DS yet.
Thank you very much. My M1 is so cranky and has been kind of stable I was about to hook up its new backup drive when all these updates started hitting with issues and it got freaked me out. I will first get that backup set-up and then do the updates to the OS then D|S. Now if we could just get filament for the Macs.
