Hello,

I have a Generation4 figure with some attached morph sliders, and now i want to be able to have these sliders on other Victoria 4 figures.

I want to be able to transfer these morphs to other V4 figures.

The same way i can "inject" different morphs with the power loader (or by clicking the provided injections of say Freak, Aiko, Girl etc)

Most preferred would be to be able to add morph sets to the power loaders, but would be satisfied to have a file to click on, then getting the morph sliders available to the figure.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but all that i find seems always the other way around:

Saving Morph assets saves specified morph to a certain figure, so that it always loads with said morph sliders.

Which is not what i want.

Good point, I missed out on the gift-card enabled coupon from a couple days back by failing to check my messages.

ok, probably peoples will come and say "no" we don't care fibermesh is awesome and don't waste your time and bla bla bla, but i really want to ask for that:

currently with the new systems and dforce cloths and fibermesh system, is become more complicated for peoples like me which must be a "small minority" and "don't matter" group but with the current increase of "use fibermesh and in future i can see it become "mandatory and all characters will have it, but for peoples with not strong machines or peoples which want use daz for games or videos, that things are too much "resource hoger" specially using outside daz like in unreal (even for make cinematics), this can make daz less and less desirable to use for game develop, at last it's characters.

I would love to future characters come with a "option" where the PA or DAZ, instead of use only fibermesh and leave a "empty base texture", a option for a LIE eyebrow and even maybe small beards, mustaches, like victoria 8, she come with 3 options, a meseh with a painted eyebrow, a mesh full clean and a "LIE eyebrow (layered) which you can use to add to any other DAZ G8 character, that would be really good if at last instead of the 3 options at last we have 2, the base texture come without the eyebrow and face hairy then a "layered option to add both eyebrows and face haris without need a "fibermesh then for peoples which love fibermesh and have the "strong machines" they can have they fibermesh and for peoples like me we can have our characters to work on ours games or cinematics with a much more "doable work.

I really don't understand why they don't stick with what they did with victoria 8, if they had followed that pattern to have a fibermesh and a non fibermesh  layered face hairs it could be really awesome, because it could help better customization not only for "fibermesh users but also for "non users(which can't use or just don't like it), i know it can means "more work" but i really don't believe which it could be "that much extra work"/time to not be viable.

Please remember while the majority probably don't care over it and will buy anything you still have a "small minority which still care and would love to also keep buying things otherwise i can see my self stop to buying things here as soons as i finally have bought all the products i need and don't want to buy new things because they become too troublesome for me to work.

For me is good to remember to keep "some balance" and try to keep giving peoples some "options" and not just go full change, for the sake of "change".

Very lovely character.  Price point good on the pro bundle at $37 with some add ons and my Victoria birthday coupon. Picked up the Big Cats 2 for free, which I thought I had when I bought the dforce hair for the cats but didn't.  Got some other freebies too so I'm happy

Okay, back online. I checked Exclusive Offers and yesterday only they extended the Victoria Birthday bonus (for us in the second group) to have gift cards one day only at 20% off. 

Which brings me to mention- apparently you need to check your account and those exclusive offers, because banners are covering up banners. Someone mentioned that gift card 20% off over in the pro bundle thread otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. So to answer that question, it was one day only, on the 20th. 

I forgot my computer charger at home so that will limit my time on the computer at least until I get home.

Which means no rendering the scene I am working on until I get home.  I am impressed with G8F ears though.  I am trying to break those ears by making them what some might consider too big but they are not messing up like the way Victoria 3's ears would.

OK, I have found a problem that occurred because of moving drives.

If you use GenX2 to convert V4/M4 characters to Genesis ones, you have to tell it where to find the shape of the original characters. It seems happy to deal with Genesis and later source characters after moving, but when you try to load V4 or M4 by pressing the [Source] button it tells you that the files no longer exist. You can get it working again by using the [Load Figure] button to load the relevant file, but you have to know what it's called and where to look.

The folder to look in is /Runtime/Libraries/Character/DAZ People within your DAZ3D Content Library, and the files are Victoria 4.2.cr2 and Michael4.cr2

I hope that helps anybody with the same problem.

OK I got that VICTORIA-BIRTHDAY-20 notification on my landing page from email today.  I think that might be what I got the other day and missed as it is called MY bonus.  Did anyone else get one?  It took about 15-20% off almost off every item, even those on sale.

So if you blinked and missed it before, it might come back for you, so just write it down as it's time-sensitive and shop before it expires.

To answer your question, it does get harder and harder to find things for the freebies when a lot of it is repeats. And yep, I got the 70.00 too. But with the 20% Victoria Birthday still in play (different ones were released different times I think, some people had a different one a week or so sooner than the one I currently have I think) the prices are really appealing. 

 

They gave me this one randomly :) I never felt the need to change it. 
I understand that, frequent buyers probably already have all Gen 7 pro bundles. However giving credit to buy old products go in the opposite direction. It is hard to me to found an interesting product that would motivate me to buy the new bundle.
In my opinion the exclusive extra discount over the new bundle used to work better. But I can't say if the numbers are at my side.

Llola, All the UV mapping systems I have used will extract the original UV mapped template from any existing model if it has one. That is because that information is imprinted into the model file, so that what you make using the template will follow the geometry that the template represents. If however, you wish to rearrange the geometry representations on the template, you may do so, but immediately after saving your new template, you must export the product model to imprint the new template's arrangement onto it.

Thats the best way I can describe that, and it certainly fits what I have experienced.

In DAZ Studio certain UVs can be transfered to Genesis from the Mil 4 figures. This becomes necessary because if you use a mil 4 texture map set on Genesis, and it is using say Victoria 5's UVs, you'll see breaks in the textures on the figure. This is because the Genesis figure is not using the correct UV map for applying a Mil 4 texture set. If you go to Surfaces and look for the UV channel, clicking there will give you a drop down list showing available UVs for Genesis, including the Mil 4 figure UVs of V4, M4, etc. Click on the appropriate one and the breaks in the texures on the figure will disappear. This is because you just told DAZ Studio to make the Genesis figure allow that Mil 4 UV to imprint on it. This allows any texture for that Mil 4 figure to be used on the Genesis figure. There are products in the DAZ Store that allow this with Mil 3 UVs as well.

Again, I am speaking from what I have experienced, and I think it is good that DAZ Studio has that ability built into it. It expands what can be done with the Genesis figure. I expect that this is also the case with the Genesis 2, 3, and 8 figures as well.

Okay, since this was mentioned in Commons (not a glitch apparently) Remember to use your Victoria Birthday code to buy a gift card BEFORE you buy the Pro bundle, etc. 

What appears to have happened- remember me griping about not getting discounts a week or so ago when a lot of people did? I think they released another Victoria birthday banner to the next batch of us. I did NOT have it when the latest male pro bundle was released. I've had the current one about a week IIRC. It expires the 21st. The banner is gone but it should still be in your account in exclusive offers (and IS still working. I also got 20% off a gift card a few minutes ago. Not sure if there was a banner for that separately.) 

The 20% Victoria Birthday code only lasted for about two weeks (or less) for me, even though the original message (gone now) said it would last for longer. Someone in another thread suggested the code depends on you spending a certain amount each week, but my buying a $300 GC was not enough to qualify. I'm really getting sick of this store and all its glitches, which don't always get fixed by the techs or by sales (and yes, I've tried many times with various bug reports).

that promotions come with a "expire time" you must check, if your message is not showing anymore the "victoria" discount then it's means which it could have expired and you don't noticed mine code will expire day 21 or next day then i have today and next day to use it or lose it.

Another note i don't know if it's a bug or no then if in case of being a bug the new genesis 2 blow up sales is missing a lot of stuffs, specially some good bundles.

I had the Victoria Banner and four items, etc, and it was the correct 37.03 like Blurst Of Times had it, but didn't check out, and now the cart is crazy.

Also, where is the selection of daz originals that the banner people are supposed to be able to choose from for their freebies? The link in the banner simply goes to the Pro Bundle/Starter Bundle etc page.
