I hadn't opened that chat bot before and did so today. I found it to be really fast and helpful. It answered my questions and provided not just tips, but forum posts pretaining to my inquiries, recommended products, and so forth. Iwill probably use it much more. A lot faster than Google searches. It will be interesting to see what happens when the questions get more technical in nature. it also references forum topics pertaining to what you are looking for, which I find really nice...much easier than doing a forum seach that  sucks, in my opinion.
One thing I did ask was when Genesis 10 was to be released. It hedged that one off very nicely like you would expect when a date isn't even being leaked laugh
OH..one bad that I've found so far..everytime I change pages, the bot pops up automatically now. I cannot get it to stay minimized. I will see after I close the browser and come back in.
EDIT" yes, it is now staying minimized after closing browser and reloading.

One potential cause of its poping up on every page is having an open conversation (one you didn't say goodbye or the like to)

maybe I should tell her goodnight and sweet dreams laugh

So what is the deal with this "Victoria AI agent" that keeps popping up on my screen when I'm on the DAZ store?  How did it get turned on and how do I turn it off?

its an AI chat bot..I just tried it for the first time after seeing this mention and have to say, it is extremely helpful. I pointed me to forum posts to help with my questions, pointed to product, to tutorials, etc etc. And its very fast. I'm impressed actually.

Hmm, while I may agree with the excessive militarization of the American police is dreadful (I remember Officer Friendly) if we continue this discussion we will probably end up with the thread trimmed and closed. Which will defeat Ron's search for male clothing.

    Indeed.

  • Looking for an old Post Re: DSON

There are 2 options to see your past posts or discussions:

    • Click on the cogwheel in the top-right corner of the forums and select "my discussions" in the menu to see a list of all forums discussions you created.
    • Click on your name in the same menu (or under a post) to go to your forum profile page. In that page there's a cogwheel menu where you can select "Your posts" to view all your forum posts, "Your threads" to see all your discussions, or "Your inbox" to see all your private messages

  • Looking for an old Post Re: DSON

I am still running a graphics machine with Windows 7 and Poser 2012, which I am keeping for the latter reason. I am still using V4 mostly on that machine and a few years ago (maybe 2018) I ran a post and someone helped me with DSON for Genesis, for me the most difficult thing for using a new product. I got through it but don't know what I did.  HELP! How do I search the forum to see if it is still on there?  I At the time  was trying to download some Wooden Bleachers which I did successfully. -gd

I still struggle with the way DAZ organizes their content. DIM would be fine if DAZ adopted a more sensible approach to organizing content.

But instead we have a mass of "PA" folders, and even every single item in a folder has the PA's initials before the name of the items.

Props and scenes are scattered about with incosistentcy.

All too often I decided not to buy products for those reasons.

I actually feel let down by DAZ because of the need to search for my products.

Sometimes even individual PAs can't be consistent. Suppose I'm looking for a particular set of Zeddicuss poses for G8F, I've got a lot of those. It could be in...

    • People/Genesis 8/Poses
    • People/Genesis 8/Poses/Zeddicuss
    • People/Genesis 8 Female/Poses
    • People/Genesis 8 Female/Poses/Zeddicuss
    • People/Genesis 8 Female/Zeddicuss/Poses

This is what drove me to do my own categories.  i was spending way more time looking for stuff than anything else

  • Recent versions of Daz Studio and the Bridge to Bryce 7.1

My Bryce and DAZ Studio PC is still on Windows 7 Pro, so I'm using the most recent version of DS that still works there (DS4.21.0.5 Public Build) and can confirm that the bridge still works for me using the process I posted about in 2020 HERE. But of course that only works for me because Bryce correctly identifies that version of DS is installed, but incidentally does not offer me any choice of DS version even though I still have DS4.9 General Release too.

A Google search also brought up THIS THREAD, where a very familiar-looking person was having a similar problem in 2018. I have no idea whether the Registry Edit method in that thread is (a) necessary; (b) safe! in Windows 11.

  • The futile search for Genesis 9 Male clothes

I was quite happy to find a wealth of "Senior Content" offered for Genesis 8. That includes such characters as Mabel 8.

I made an acrylic painting of Mabel 8 and showed it to my friends. They loved her!

As for men wearing women's clothes, etc. OK I see how DAZ Studio handles the clothing differently.

However, the problem still remains. As someone said above, (to paraphrase?!) My weighlifters won't get caught dead wearing a bikini!

Also, I don't want military or hunting outfits for my senior men.

    Edited to add:

My statement listed in the head of this thread still stands. I resent the need to wade through all the ladies skimp wear (etc) in search of men's clothing. There might be a few outfits that would work for both men and women.

But I shouldn't need to wade through all that content to find what I want. It would be better to let men and women have their own sections,

  • Can't Get Organized

    Ron Knights said:

I still struggle with the way DAZ organizes their content. DIM would be fine if DAZ adopted a more sensible approach to organizing content.

But instead we have a mass of "PA" folders, and even every single item in a folder has the PA's initials before the name of the items.

Props and scenes are scattered about with incosistentcy.

All too often I decided not to buy products for those reasons.

I actually feel let down by DAZ because of the need to search for my products.

For some reason I can usually remember where I got an item from, so after last night creating a library for different places has helped a lot.  And I created a category so when I run across something I've been looking for I create a category from it and that helps until I can come up with a long term solution.

  • Carter 9 - Likenesses are getting better and better...

As for the beard, the Kit Harington (Jon Snow) beard by Uncanny Valet comes close. Search on Google.
