[Released] ManFriday’s Figure Converter for Genesis 9 [Commercial]
OK, I am seeing an issue with the eyes. Any way to fix this and if so what are the instructions to do so? What are you looking at? See how either outer side of the eyes are very exposed like the eyes are not big enough for the sockets or need to be moved from the inner out a bit but if I do that, I'm out of practice, what steps do I need to move them and then make sure they stay there when the morph is dialed up?
[Released] ManFriday’s Figure Converter for Genesis 9 [Commercial]Got my Gino morph transferred over. It would be nice to somehow have a batch converter for shapes. Point to a data folder and convert all that's within over to Genesis 9. Since I have a folder in the data folder for all my custom shapes that would be ideal. In the mean time I got this working fine and it's really exact. Just don't like that I have to waste precious drive space to install Genesis 3 Starter Essentials, figures I've not touched in years! LOL
XRotation property vanished after I changed its name. [Solved]Have you saved the morph assets? If you have, delete dsf files from the data folder, reload your figure and recreate properties. If you haven't and find no property that you want in Parameters and Property Hierarchy, also reload the figure and recreat them.

I really like the idea of using geoshell textures on this new dress: https://www.daz3d.com/olivine-dforce-outfit-for-genesis-9. Like the dress itself as well. I only wish there was a morph included to reduce the cleavage because, like so often, it's just too extreme for my purposes. Apart from that, a very nice garment I think
.You could do what women in real life do - layer a cami or tanktop under it.Yeah but I'm mostly doing historical renders, and women before our time didn't tend to do this kind of thing, or not much at least. Probably because there wasn't much Lycra etc. to be had ;-)
That's where corsets and chemises come in - not that that's useful in 3D
They can, make sure the inner outfit has a lower Collision Layer value than the outer (in the Surfaces pane).
Tutorial: Making TriAx Figures from Old Parametric CharactersRemembered this one. As I mentioned above I made a TriAx version of GV3 before the TriAx A3 in the promo at the top of the page, and this one was with her wearing G8F dForce Denim Diva clothing and with the clothing following the body morphs:
The GV3 model has built in high heel feet. This causes issues with shoes if they're not her own high heels, so in the image above, she is wearing the heels that came with the original character. Thinking about it, I may try experimenting with 'Adjust Rigging to Shape' to see if I can make the Flat Feet morph the default GV3 foot shape.. That'll be interesting to try.

DAZ to Unity - blendshapes missing@aweswan thats what i already tried and it works fine with any morph available. but i didnt set it up with in salsa - gues it would work since the blendshapes are visible and usable in Unity.
@ARealiti I read something similar and there was the suggestion to export it in poser. but that only adds another software which i maybe wont work with and makes things more complicated.
I finally got emoti guy in Unity working:
there is a blender file "made" by this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuGi_knr70k&t=17s. in the comments is a link to download emoti guy for blender with a ton of other stuff and most importantly, all the morphs or "Shape Keys" as they are called in blender. from here i just had to get rig of anything i dont need, export it as fbx and import into unity.
Oneclick does not work on here! but with the available tutorials for SALA its easily doable.

It's a G9 product, what if you turn off the female and turn on the male settings?
Genesis 9 characters don't necessarly use the base feminine / masculine morph to achieve the final look.

I hope she comes with tarot cards, crystal ball, and all sorts of funky mystically occult parlour games. Is the Grim Reaper next?
She does not appear to include any of those things, no. And I think she's meant to BE the Grim Reaper. https://www.daz3d.com/death-9-hd-pro-bundle
I'm just curious as to what Pestilence and War are going to be. Will Pestilence be a thoroughly gross looking character, with an alternate youth morph whose face is being conquered by the dreadful invading forces of acne (tm Terry Pratchett)? Will War just be Ares 9, featuring no fewer than three particularly spiky sets of armor?
Anyway, Death looks interesting enough. They do appear to have committed to the bit, to be sure.
Death is Coming for Us AllI'm no friend of death, but because I would not stop for Death, she kindly stopped for me with a Pro Bundle FULL of outfits and hairs that I actually want and can use. Her textures are more painterly than I would've hoped, and her head morph looks like a version of what came before, but I'd probably eventually buy everything in the bundle except the expressions. I'll just wait until tomorrow for the probable late adopter discount.
BTW, fefecoolyellow is on another level.

Death is Coming for Us AllHow... seasonal. At least the zombie add-on can be applied to other figures. If you're into zombies, that is.
Nothing else in the bunde really strikes me as anything that I need. The figure/morph could be useful, but the fact is that I'm getting steadily less and less interested in adding any new characters to my library. And by this time just about all the clothing tends to strike me as either redundant, or irrelevant to anything that I would be likely to use.
People just starting out would probably see it a lot differently, I realize.

Hi riftwitch,
Interesting I just did the same test with clothing. I found the clothing was fitting to the base Genesis female shape, but ignores the custom morph. As I slide the custom morph value slider, the body shape changes, but the eyelashes and cloths remain unchanged. There must be a step missing that tells DAZ Studio the body shape is changing.
I've made custom morphs before without this problem where the entire figure is changed, so I tied one more step that seemed to fix all issues. I loaded a base Genesis female 8 female, deleted the eyelashes, and applied the X-Transfer created morph. I then set the mesh resolution to base and exported it out as an OBJ file. Then I cleared the project, loaded a base Genesis female 8 female and loaded the export OBJ using Morph Loader Pro, and applied morph at 100% and set the low limit to zero. Then I saved the morph as a Morph Asset. Then once again, I cleared the project, loaded a base Genesis female 8 female and this time applied the morph created with the saved Morph Asset. Now eyelashes, brows, cloths and Geoshells all follow the body shape!
In closing, it looks the the morph created by X-Transfer is missing something that tell DAZ Studio the body shape is changing, and re-exporting and importing using Morph Loader Pro fixes.
Bruce.
The post after yours pointed out that you need to have auto-follow turned on in the parameters of the morph in question. I tried that, and now clothing and other attachments follow the morph just fine. Mr. Hyde looks...interesting with the Arm of the Demon King attached.

The morph has to have autofollow checked. Otherwise the clothing or anything attached won't follow the shape.
Thanks, that fixed that problem.
lip / mouth time againThat is an amazing find there @barbult thank you so much. i'd never have figured that the answer was due to other characters if you hadnt suggested checking the parameters firstly... and then you doing the searching on that character. I've learned something new in this one thread and with that i thank you! and i'll know to pay more attention to how installing characters can have an affect on the base ones. nice.
I've edited that file and indeed now my Gen 8.1 base figures and also Yangon no longer load up that morph. and guess what... they look so much better. This is so exciting!
and to show it here is one happy Yangon with now a nice smile!!

Can you post a pic of what you are looking for? Depending on a few things, I may be able to add it to my list :)
Sort of like these:

The one on the left with the hair over the face, the straight0ish style is what I'm hoping to see but with options/morphs to get the hair open on the face like the other image. You have that option in Bobacious and it works really well! I'm also hoping for a pre-sim morph that puts the front lower hair behind the shoulders so when it sims it's neatly resting on the back. I hope that makes sense hahah

As for devolumizing, you can use the scale smaller which will at the very least make it a whole lot less poofy, but the general style will remain the same. I set this up fairly stiff so it would keep its general shape. You can lower the local shape constraint stiffness on all the surfaces, as someone else mentioned which should make it a bit more flat/drapey against the head.
The scale smaller plus increasing gravity and adjusting the stiffness settings made it lay flatter, it's not perfect but playing with the settings is getting me there.

Chevy, is there any chance you're considering making a dforced long hair with the new shader for g9? I will be first in line to buy it if you are.

I have the Renne Hair also. I have tried it a couple times and am at the point of returning it. Very few workable morph dials and yesterday, it fell into the character's upper body and out of her arm pit. At least it didn't cause an explosion during a simulation which surprised me. But it is like a brick. I prefer a hair piece that 'looks' like hair.
Just checked, bought it in August, too late for a return. Pity that.
It's a good thing I saw this post, I guess I'll stay away from that hair then.

I used the Sexy Skinz Vol II under the Olivine dress and I have a render for you. This was on EM3D Young Prudence who is an add-on for EM3D Prudence for G9. She is wearing Twinkletoe shoes, a Christmas Freebie Pearl Earrings from NewGuy, a bracelet, and hair from BirthStone. The background is from the great Mec4D. And I thank @Novica for putting me on to the SexySkinz products for just this use.
That is just wonderful memcneil70... I don't have Sexy Skins for G9 (of course not)... But I do for all the other G's... grrrrrrr... I hate having to keep buying stuff for newer generations... ughh... Wishlisted! Maybe I'll make one of my own since I know how to make geoshells. ;) Thanks for sharing.
lip / mouth time again@ gregormci Good screenshots. Those are helpful. Yes, the two body and two head morphs for CNB DI Yangon Win HD are as Nivrana intended. One is the basic character shape and the other is the HD details. That is pretty standard practice for Daz characters (one morph for basic shape and one to add high definition details like wrinkles, etc.). So that looks good. However, Vo Xiao Mei is a different character created by a different vendor. Those morphs should not get dialed in automatically when you load CNB DI Yangon Win HD. So that is a problem! Your base character in that image of 3 characters doesn't really look right to me either. Her waist is too narrow and her face isn't neutral enough. Let's try to verify if those Vo Xiao Mei morphs are dialed in when you load just the base character. Capture the screenshot of the parameters right after your load the base G8.1F character.
Edit: Oh!!! Look what I found by doing a search:
Read that thread, please. It offers solutions so you can fix the problem yourself, but really Daz QA should have fixed it already. I don't know if they did. Check to see if there is an update to Vo Xiao Mei that you haven't installed. That forum thread states that a fix was made by Daz.
