What just happened to the website?5:06PM Central, 4:06PM mountain
Whatever's been going on with the site is still going on. I've looked at it in two browsers, including a copy of Opera that never goes to the site and dumps its cache on exit, and the CSS is well and truly messed up. The top menu line isn't showing up, the options that are normally hidden behind menu dropdowns are all displayed, and the items are all on one long display along the left side. Doesn't matter how I approach the site.The weird thing is, the forum is (for the moment) fine. I thought the forum and the store used essentially the same CSS.

The Lens Flare... OK, I can do that easily enough.
:-)For me, definitive an improvement towards the bad. I prefer the first shot because if the atmosphere contains a lot of sand, the sun is dimmed. Sahara sand in the high atmosphere sometimes comes north to central Europe and dims the sun and tints the landscape into a yellowish-red colour. And those Photosop lens flares just don't look natural. I have yet to see a lens that gives such perfectly round lens flares.

Show Us Your Bryce Renders!@canyon: First off, you're the artist, you decide what you like and want, not what others like or want. The end results are from decisions you make, from choices you like. Others can only help in what might look better. Many pointed out things in my pull toy image I hadn't seen, because I was too close to the work. And many helped me with the technical aspects because I lacked the knowledge and experience to make improvements.
The dome in the first instance gave a more pronounced feeling to the structure and overall scene. I believe you used the second dome in the eagle scene? See how flat, and almost nonexistent that dome looks from the distance of the eagle? How it doesn't really help draw the viewer's eye to the central theme of the scene? Switch out the domes and render the second eagle scene again. I think you'll find that dome stands out much better, brings the viewer's eye back to that location, and makes the marble structure the central point of view once again. And I do think the second image is better with the lower haze level.
Keep in mind, these are only suggestions, nothing cut in stone. You hold the hammer and chisel and only you know where to strike.

[CHALLENGE!]It occurs to me that almost every single character I have seen here is, well, a highly unusual specimen of genetic perfection or a genetic misfit scarred by God knows what horrible radiation accident.
Where are my normal people at? Where are my accountants? Where are my over-spray-tanned soccer moms? Where are the Women of Walmart? Where is the college nerd who really wants to ask that foreign exchange student? Where is the father of four who works the 9 to 5 at UPS with a beer gut and memories of his high school glory days?
Where is the mediocrity which is the world around us?
Pretty is not a bad thing, they can be pretty but.... not TOO pretty. Let's see some flaws!
The challenge? Make and render a normal-looking human being as the central figure or one of the main central figures of the render. They may be subjected to something unusual in the render, be among god-like people, or be just going about their everyday life but... make an ordinary human being.
The winner as decided by me, will enjoy a $10 DAZ gift certificate purchased by me. Two runners up will get $5 and four will get $2.50. (Yep, I am so sick of super-normal, I am investing $30 of my own money here. :) )
Submissions start now and end November 16th when I will take a look at all the submissions.
Posters must include the name of any products used and where they purchased from them. Extra points will be awarded for hand-done morphs and textures.

EDIT: I did have to navigate to the textures on load as the cr2 is nowhere near correct on the paths. :-)
