  • The Twinkies and Lime Jello Complaint Thread -- Now With More Squirrels!

This is where I am after getting the diagnosis back from the CT Scan. Here is the diagnosis:

3.2 x 2.7 x 3.7 cm heterogeneous rounded peripherally enhancing mass within the right jugulodigastric region with suggestion of central necrosis as described above. This corresponds to the area patient’s palpable lump. There are 2 additional discrete nodular masses noted adjacent to the dominant mass within the right jugulodigastric region which do not demonstrate suggestion of significant central necrosis. Additional scattered small to mild prominent right cervical lymph nodes are noted predominately within the jugulodigastric region. The CT findings are nonspecific but concerning for necrotic lymphadenopathy with metastatic lymphadenopathy a primary concern. Lymphnoma could also this appearance. An infected branchial cleft cyst with surrounding reactive adenopathy could have this appearance but would consider less likely. Other inflammatory/infectious process such as a developing abscess with adjacent reactive lymph nodes would also be considered less likely.
Imaging guided percutaneous biopsy could be attempted in the radiology department for tissue diagnosis if clinically warranted.

So I now have an appt for next Monday morning to have a biopsy done and then maybe I'll know if they will have to cut half of my head off or not. Is there a Doctor in the house?

  • Urban Sprawl 3 ---what do you want to see in the new city?

    hi all,
thanks to everyone for the feedback, some good ideas here ...alot of which are along the lines of what i want to do with US3...overpass,hills,bridge,oceanside,basic interiors, opening doors are all on my wishlist.

I'd love to do the big central park thing but in an effort to keep the set renderable for users I doubt I could do a decent looking park & city that renders fast..trees are always difficult and with this set I'm trying to avoid using too many transparent materials,so the parks will be small in scale and not like grand central park.
re the medieval city I'd suggest Faveral would be better suited to that theme,
one day I'll tackle a european style city but US3 will probably be US-centric.And one day I will return to the victorian theme and do a better victorian street scene.

now just gotta make it all happen..and not take two years to do it :\

    thanks again,will post pics soon

Do we know what time the new item is likely to be released? :)

My guess is that we'll probably see stuff around midnight DAZ/Mountain time, 1AM Central, 2AM Eastern, 11pm Pacific, 3AM Atlantic, 7AM GMT. Judging from yesterday, anyway; the ones the day before that popped into the store around 9pm DAZ time, but I kind of think that was manually done, and yesterday was a scheduled job. No reason to think that, I guess; it's just that computery things that happen around midnight tend to be scheduled jobs in most places.

    Handy link for this: DAZ-time.

I stumbled across this story (quite literally) back in my drinking days (and saw more than a few elves too).

I believe it's actually a true story, except that Ganthor's probably kidding us about the pizza, because it hasn't happened like this in many decades. God only knows what gets Santa airborne these days. Those of us old enough remember can tell the younger crowd that our presents from Santa always had a yeasty smell to them.

This is the neck circlet I made for my Project Golem figures; it's UV-mapped and includes a template for creating your own ID numbers. The model has not been tested in DAZ|Studio.

I've also created a variation on Ash-Li for the Mirror Universe, inspired by PDSmith. She's a bit less ... bland ... than the regular model, but still obviously an artificial being. Golem in the Mirror: http://fav.me/d5mngk9

With two slightly differently-shaped objects, it would also make a good thrall collar . . . So, does your collar light-up when the "golems" check in with Central Processing? [grin]

  • Urban Sprawl 3 ---what do you want to see in the new city?

Some old Art Noveau and Art Deco buildings mixed in with the newer stuff.

Greenspace, as the pre mentioned Central Park idea, or better yet, something like the High Line park in New York.

A Waterfront District would be pretty cool.

Some Administrative and Municipal Buildings like a City Hall, Court Building, Police Precinct etc.

A nice big ugly* Brutalist building for the Aliens to blow up...

*Not to step on anybody's architectural aesthetics, there is Good Brutalist, and Bad Brutalist, and the Bad Brutalist has got to go... :-)

  • Watch Your 30 Days For Refunds- The Itemized Order History, My Downloadables- Gives You Extra Day Y

I just ordered Monday, Dec 3rd, at 8:25 PM Central Time. In Itemized History, I immediately checked, and it says Dec 4th. So does My Downloadables. BUT MY ORDERS SAYS DEC 3.

No way ANYWHERE in the United States would it be past midnight and become the 4th. So when you are calculating if it is within 30 days, depending on what Daz uses- the Itemized History and My Downloadables date may screw you up. It's done this for months on mine. Check a couple of your orders vs Itemized / Downloadables and see if you get the same differences in dates.

I agree with many posters, more European style with older buildings which can be used in renders from 1850 - present time.
And I like the central square idea, as most European cities still have the old hay market squares left, now used for trams or busses.

A central park area would be a real selling point for me... Of course, I'd prefer Chiba Park in Tokyo. ;) Or Akibahara. I've got tons of reference photos I could share if you want them.

A train station or subway station would be a great inclusion. My favorite is Harajuku, but any train station would be great!

Definitely store fronts, hopefully with a few usable interiors (we can furnish them ourselves).

But I would also really love to see a Victorian London neighborhood! Maybe a future project?
