Please help to identify attached character with LindayI'm not sure but it looks like the makeup could be from the Victoria 9 HD makeup, perhaps: https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-9-hd-makeupLooking for an example of G8 character using Mimic in Carrara
Greetings. Although I can't answer your question directly as I have not done it, here is some information you would probably want to be aware of before buying Carrara.
G3 and G8 are the least compatible generations with Carrara. There was a problem with a toe joint and with a typo in the rigging which required a work-around character available through Renderosity. Otherwise, Carrara would crash upon loading those specific figures. Unfortunately, the amazing artist who identified the problem and provided the partial solution is no longer with us to provide guidance on usage. Here is a link to the file necessary to load the G8.1 figure in Carrara without crashing.
https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/88523/carrara-presets-for-genesis-81
On the other hand, the Victoria/Michael 1-4, 5, 6, and 9, and the Genesis 1, 2, and 9 figures do load in Carrara without the workaround mentioned above.

I have a question tho. Some poses are not recognized as poses by the script. As I noticed, it happens when a prop is added to the pose.
For example the staff poses in this product: https://www.daz3d.com/kuj-long-stick-martial-arts-poses-for-genesis-9
Or poses involving the schoolbag in this product: https://www.daz3d.com/cute-poses-for-victoria-9
And my question: is there a way to make the script recognize those poses or they can be converted only manually?
Need Help With Buying Victoria 4 Skeleton & Muscle Maps As An ArtistThank you so much for your answers, Scorpio and CES3D!
Scorpio, thank you for telling me about those Poser items. I didn't even know that most of the Poser content worked on Daz3D, so I've always held off of buying some other things that I've wanted because of that restriction. But, now, I can get some more Poser items in the future!
CES3D, thank you for your clarification on the Victoria 4 models. Because of you explaining the differences between Victoria 4 and Genesis 9, I decided to buy the Genesis 9 products that you liste. I just started testing out the models and I am SO pleased with this purchase!
Thank you two so much for helping me with this. I've been hesitant about everything with Daz3D because of how intense the information can get sometimes. Please, please have a wonderful rest of your day, and have Merry Christmas to both of you!
Need Help With Buying Victoria 4 Skeleton & Muscle Maps As An ArtistYou need the following three products for your desired use: "Victoria 4.2 Base," "Victoria 4 Skeleton," and "Victoria 4 Muscle Maps." These can be used in Daz Studio without any problems. I actually use them in Daz Studio.
"Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female" is a product that allows you to use products made for Victoria 4 with Genesis 2, a different generation of figures. This is not a product you need for your intended use.
By the way, Victoria 4 is a fairly old generation of figures. The current latest generation is Genesis 9. It has more joints than Victoria 4 and can take more flexible poses. So, instead of the ones for Victoria 4, why don't you consider purchasing "Midnight Bones for Genesis 9" and "Feminine Muscle Maps for Genesis 9" for Genesis 9?
Need Help With Buying Victoria 4 Skeleton & Muscle Maps As An ArtistAll the products you mentioned work in DS.
In the past products were optimised for Poser but as time went on DS grew and developed whereas Poser remained stagnant. But the majority of old Stuff does work in DS. The Victoria line was made by Daz and so is DS.
Need Help With Buying Victoria 4 Skeleton & Muscle Maps As An ArtistHello Daz3D Community! I'm fairly new to Daz3D, as I originally come from an artistic background and decided to use the program to help me with posing my characters. I am not familiar with the jargon or the culture of Daz3D, so please pardon whatever innaccuracies that I may state! I did my best researching what I could before writing this, but Daz3D and 3D modelling as a whole is very confusing to me.
I need help with figuring out the best course of action in buying some items that I like from the store. I am particularly interested in buying some anatomical models -- a Victoria 4 skeleton, a Victoria 4 muscle map, and a Victoria 4(?) model. All I need is a model whose body parts I can move around so that I can study human anatomy from different positions. I do not need textures, assets (hair, clothes), or anything else with this purchase.
The skeleton is called "Victoria 4 Skeleton" and is made by Daz Originals. The muscle maps is called "Victoria 4 Muscle Maps" and it is also made by Daz Originals.
The skeleton and muscle maps that I found said that they were only compatible with Poser, though. After testing a free Poser item within Daz3D studio, I found out that the Poser items can be used in the program. I do not know to what extent these Poser items will work, or how well they will work, but I'm hoping it means that the anatomical models will work when I buy them
The Victoria 4 models that I found are called "Victoria 4.2 Base" by Daz Originals and "Victoria 4 for Genesis 2" by MallenLane. I do not know which one of the two that I need to have my future skeleton and muscle maps to work with it. I read something on the forums that had a person experiencing difficulties with their Victoria 4 assets not working on their Victoria 4.2 model. Because of the technical jargon in that discussion, I could not understand what everybody was saying, so thus I do not know what to do for my specific case.
To whoever reads and answers this, thank you so much!!!

Darn close though --thank you

Does anyone know who this character, used in the illustrations for the cool new FE strand based hairTo me, she looks like one of the FreshPixel Designs models (Lyra, Eva, Kyra, or Mariah maybe?) with Victoria 9 skin on. Possibly with some other character or age morphs.

‘Are you sure we didn’t forget anyone? I see a little space between the two plushes…’ said Lacey, feeling a bit cramped with all the Christmas’s gifts loaded in Victoria’s parents bucket bike.
‘Told you we didn’t need the car,’ answered Victoria, keeping an eye on the vehicles around her.
Thankfully, the bus driver behind was at a safe distance and didn’t try to pass her.
‘Well, but next time, I’m driving and you’re crushed by all the gifts…’
‘Sure, once you get the hang of using the correct side of the road, though.’

You did a good job of packing all that stuff in. It is a nicely lit night scene.

Llola Lane’s RENDER A MONTH Challenge 2024 (ALL are welcome to join) (CLOSED)25k iterations later… (the atmoshphere box is really a performance killer but provided a softer lighting around the bike), I have a render, and I wasn't sure I would find an idea.
But it should be within the rules, no twisting of the rules, I'm even right on the IRL time theme. After all, I want to be on the good list and get as much gifts as Santa can carry, right ?
Speaking of carrying gifts, Victoria and Lacey were visiting Victoria's parents in London and they decided to go in a shopping spree to get gifts to everyone. Lacey was a bit skeptical when Victoria insisted on biking here, using ther parents's bucket e-bike and in a way, it ended as a #CarryGiftsOlympics challenge

The two plushes were time limited freebies from 3Dshards.
I wish everyone of you a merry Chrismas.

Hmm... have you noticed that under the data folder of G9 top/bottom, there're supportive FBM files for Victoria (as well as for others)... but just with wrong names for V8. Not sure if they work... but if they don't, that was really wrongly-defined.
I tested it and dialing it manually, nope, it's not a Victoria 9 morph disguised as a Victoria 8 morph

Looking at Victoria9_body_bs_Body (no idea what it means), I'm the 'author', meaning it's an auto-generated one.

Victoria 9 is supposed to be among the supported shape but there is no file taking care of that with her name (or the name of any of the Genesis 9 figure supported) in the readme, only FBM for a couple of Genesis 8 figures:

They are possibly some files missing somewhere.

Children Characters for Daz StudioAs crosswind mentioned, items parented to a character generally follow the character's scale, but some adjustments may be necessary.
Here's an example:
In this example, three props are parented to Victoria 8.
The robot helmet and star-shaped sunglasses are parented to Victoria 8's Head bone, and the gun is parented to the Right Hand bone.
These are just props, not follower nodes. In this case, these props follow the position and size of the bone they are parented to, but they do not follow the character's shape.
The ratio of the hand bone size to the shape size does not change much before and after applying the Growing Up morph, so the gun follows relatively naturally.
Since the size of the shape relative to the Head bone increases after applying the Growing Up morph, the helmet and sunglasses sink into the head.In this case, the size and position of the helmet and sunglasses need to be adjusted individually.
