Any way to split a morph, like eyeballs
Thank you. I just went ahead and created them in ZBrush so I have all three now. Just need to remember how I get to those areas to drag and drop into the right lines to make each blink morph (full, left and right) work along with the main blink morph. Sorry to be a pita I'm just SO RUSTY at all this. Thanks for your help!

or bit of a reach (maybe all dwarves look alike to me
)No, I'd say the dwarf morph was clearly modeled after Peter Dinklage.
Let's appreciate/discuss today's new releases - ongoing threadMade better with Stonemason's Urban Future 6 and SickleYields wonderful Iray Sky System!
Can you tell she's happy? I mean... I just Love Ensley's Signature Smile morph!!! That combined with Genesis 3 & 8 Face Controls really bring life into this little CG Likeness!
dForce clothing under breasts troubleThough it depends on the garment but usually it's easy to make it much better as per your need. The quickest way is to reduce the value of Contraction-Expansion Ratio on the dynamic surface. An example as below ~
It was a static simulation with current frame only. You may further try to use Timeline with maybe 20-30 frames, to simulate the garment with breasts size change (morph or scaling). That may bring you more dramatic change....
And if you know some modeling / sculpting software like Blender or ZB, it'll be much easier that you can refine the "initial shape" of the "partial area" on the garment before simulation. So, everything is possible.

Any way to split a morph, like eyeballsIs there a way to split a morph bringing in from ZBrush (or other modeling program)?
One thing I have to say about Poser is that they have this code that if you go to the little fly out menu next to exch morph dial there is a way to split it. I'm not talking about splitting a head and body morph but a X morph so one can use say a blink morph fully and a left and a right for winking or what have you. IS there a way in DAZ Studio to accomplish this without having to jump through a million and one hoops?
I'm suspecting it may be with morph loader pro but looked that over and can't see where that would be. I have the full morph loaded in DS but made it for both eyes so need to split it.
Thanks so much
Richard
Growing Up for Genesis 8 (Commercial)4.22 is a pain in the @$$...I reverted back to 4.21 because half my scenes crash when I try to render..Also I have no idea how it manages to break a product that is just morph related. eg no scripts involved. My Character's Eyes Are Messed Up--Help?I'd look into the transfer method - see if you can get a better take on it

Well, this is a mixture of oldies - the Millenium Dragon which I got in 2007 as part of a bundle, Jim Burton's Glamorous Vickie 3 (Dec 2004) and some Iray volumetric fire & the icy background HDRI bought in the last few days of sales. GV3, being TriAxed with autofit clones is wearing G3F hair & G8F clothing.

Feels very retro, reminiscent of NVITWAS type images without going that far.

Richard
Very nice Richard! I love nostalgia! So... what was that about Traix on Victoria 3? Did you make the clone, or use a clone to add the Triax... ? Interested!
I use a Lot of V3 and M3 clothing on my newer figures. I'd love to bring my older figures to Traix and have them work with modern clothing, etc.,
Say, I have some free aniBlocks for your dragon if you want them: dB Animation Kits for MilDragon and M4
I'm pretty sure that Millennium Dragon 1 and 2 have the same rigging
The Generation 3 & 4 characters are parametric rigged. With Genesis the rigging changed to TriAx, and things like autofit clones and morph autofollow became possible. I stumbled on a way to convert the parametric figures so they could have such things, and documented it in a freebie tutorial here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/655676/tutorial-making-triax-figures-from-old-parametric-characters/p1 . The net result is my GV3 can wear V3, V4, M3, M4, A3, GND2, G3F, G3M, G8F and G8M clothing when previously was limited to only that designed for GV3. The process doesn't improve the rigging of V3, which has to be said is poor by current standards, but the biggest advantage of autofit clones is possible, and that makes up for a lot.
I'll take a look at the ani-blocks. Thanks. Not sure if I will be able to use them. Finding time for still images is hard enough, but animations.. Phwee. Not often.
Regards,
Richard.
AniblocksUse Diffeo with Blender. Import the character into Blender with the regular Daz rig, don't change anything. You don't even need the hair or clothes, just a base G8 or G9 will do. Then save the animation from G8 as a pose in Daz. Apply that pose to the Daz skeleton in Blender and for the most part it should transfer perfectly fine. Sometimes legs get wonky at times, but you can go into the graph editor and quickly tweak those spots. Then Save that as an Action in the Blender pose tab, and you can apply that pose to your G9 in Daz. I've done it and it works. Facial stuff doesn't transfer if I recall correctly though.
My Character's Eyes Are Messed Up--Help?I accidentally, somehow, messed up my character's eyes and I have no idea how to fix it. It seems the schlera is going through itself, or something--the issue is still there when I hide the cornea and eye moisture layers, so it really just seems to be the scherla by itself. And I'm not sure what to do about it without completely having to redo my entire character. Which I really REALLY don't want to do because he's absolutely perfect otherwise.
This is a G8M character with a custom morph I made from when he was a G3M custom character of mine. When I get rid of the character dial, the problem goes away, which tells me its that morph.
But I don't know how to fix it for a couple of reasons:
- I'm worried to use dFormer because I know any morph I do on it means the eye will no longer be even. And I'm still not sure what exactly the mesh is doing, and it's hard to tell.
- Mesh Grabber moves way too much of the mesh, and for some unknown reason you can't "Undo" mesh grabber moves (Seriously? Why not? That should have been a basic requirement of this tool to be a thing.)
- I can't seem to find any way in DAZ Studio to just select a single face or a few faces and move it, something that is really basic in mesh editing software, like what you can do in Blender. Am I blind? >_>
Reverse Source Shape for Target not working properly - Genesis 8 male bodySo ive been wating to make a armor for one of my characters, but the problem is that when i use the transfer utility tool and apply the Reverse Source Shape for Target thingy the armor flips out and gets all messed up, how can i properly set it up?
There's images showing how it looks before and after transfer utility.
The mesh gets all messed up and broken, the model it's not scaled, it's not multiple moprhs, i dunno what to do for i can't really find more people having trouble with this, all help would be greatly apreciated :)
Basic Question On Cloth SimulationIt seems a G8M, so there're two pJCMs ( pose - Joint Corrective Morphs ) in the hidden properties of T-Shirt named "pJCMCollarUp_55_L" and "pJCMShldrUp_90_L". The vendor (or T-shirt maker) must've fixed "stretched geometry" on these 2 pJCMs, so there's no problem in screenshot 1.
What you exported / imported and fitted on G8M with Transfer Utility has no "fix" on them, in screenshot 2, therefore the "stretched geometry" is still there....
So to be very exactly, this issue has nothing to do with Simulation other than "corrective morph" first of all. However, if you use the option "Start Bones From Memorized Pose" in Simulation Settings or use a timeline to simulate, that "ugly mesh" may be eliminated to a certain extent or 100% gone....
Genesis 9 morph helpYea, big eyeballs need fix with Eyelids when dialing Eye Blink. Dial Eye Blink first ( Eye Blink Left, then Eye Blink Right), send this character to Zbrush for fixing Eyelids (make them naturally "closed"), GoZ back to DS as a new delta morph with the name - "xxx_facs_bs_EyeBlinkLeft", "xxx_facs_bs_EyeBlinkRight".
Then as lilweep said, drag Eye Blink Left / Eye Blink Right to 1st stage controller, and your character Head Morph to 2nd stage controller of "xxx_facs_bs_EyeBlinkLeft" / "xxx_facs_bs_EyeBlinkLeft".
You may also use Mirroring option in Morph Loader Pro... In that way, you just dial Eye Blink first (both Eyes) and fix one-side of Eyelids, then import to create Left and Right corrective morphs once a time, as below:
Genesis 9 morph helpIn property heirarchy, i would just set the Stage 1 Controller to be the Eye Blink R (for Right blink morph) and Eye Blink L (for Left blink morph), and use the Character head morph as the Stage 2 Multiply controller

Since the style of pants are sort of harem pants, they should've tailor-made a projection template with Transfer Utility, or transferred with a bit skinny one then sculpt a harem one to update the base geometry, or at least directly fix cbs of thigh bends...
And whats worse is they worked PERFECTLY last night, and this morning then just stopped!
Evidence I'm not crazy:
Genesis 9 morph helpis it really that hard to position and scale the eyes (within daz) using basic parameters sliders...
you can load the Genesis 8 with morph to line up the gen 9 eyeballs with the gen 8 eyeballs.
There are tutorials on youtube for saving out eyeballs and mouth correctives for Gen 9.
CyberPower PC for DAZ Studio?Well I followed suit. I just got a new computer ordered. SIMILAR to the one you ended up ordering but I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro as I like the extra control. I spent a little less in the long run as I opted out for a few things like keyboard and mouse and downgraded a couple of other bits as they were not nessesary.
I'll keep my current system as a backup system since it's still in very good shape. Now I gotta invest in one of those ways to transfer everything over from this system to the new one when it arrives. I always HATE reinstalling all the programs and system prefs. Anyone give me hints on what transfer system is the best or most reliable?

I ended up in ZBrush with the whole thing to get it just right plus the toenails looked wierd so had to fix those up too. I just can't figure out a way to get the mouth and the eyes to be the right size. In ZB working on both eyes at the same time never works out just right, the mouth might be OK to deal with but yea, the eyes doesn't work. I tried just using the Scale dials but when I brought all of it back into DS they obviously didn't save as they are seperate so I guess in ZB I'll need to export EACH body part one at a time? Seems the bridge needs to be updated to allow for multiple updates to a morph all in one go.
Yes... you should fix and GoZ back to DS one bs morph each time. But still suggest, first try Adjust Eyes Rigging...
