[Released] RSSY Character And Material Conversion Bundle Genesis 8 to Genesis 9 [Commercial]
I purchased the suite. I'm trying to convert GC's Horoine Project for G8F morphs (again). I would like to convert just the body, not the head. I tried the custom character script however I am not seeing an option to convert just the body. Will this product do that? I see another product which has a menu to select seperate head-body conversions. I don't want to purchase two products or do earch morph manually if I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
connecting two subsets to make a larger scene.I can get the subsets merged.....I can even copy and paste entire key segments....
I assume when the subsets merge...you are supposed to transfer keys from say....Cassie 2's timeline to Cassie 1's timeline...Creating One Cassie with all the keys.....

Well, Once upon a time... (yesterday)

It said it came with two pixie morph heads and geo graph things of make-up... So, I figure, hey, it's $3 bucks and the make-up will work on any G9, so why not and I grab it!
Well, first off, I notice the pixie heads are complete shapes, not dependant on the Pixie character to work! Cool!
I wondered.... Hmmm? Can I make the Daz Pixie myself??? First attempts were pixie-like, but not like the Daz Pixie, know what i mean?
So I kept at it.... And this is how it turned out. It doesn't look like the Daz Pixie exactly... but I still think it turned out kinda cute and was proud of her and wanted to share.
I love Genesis 9.
I feel like with a few shapes and morphs anything is possible. Products used to create my pixie according to my "Currently Used" tab. LOL

Did anyone do a Clothing Converter from V3,V4,M3,M4 to Genesis 3,8,9 M&FCan I suggest a read of the tutorial I did in this thread: Making TriAx figures from Parametric Figures It details all that's necessary to convert the old figures (A3/A4/F3/F4/GV3/H3/H4/IV/K3/K4/M3/M4/SF4/SP3/V3/V4) to have the benefit of some new features. Included in the tutorial are four poses to make M3/V3 into rough autofit clones for G3F, G3M, G8F & G8M, so your generation 3 character can wear the clothes of those later generations, and further through the thread I include a pair of poses to allow M4/V4 autofit clones to be generated. They are.. rough & ready [good term to make 'Barely Adequate' seem more acceptable] autofit clones, but with smoothing modifiers they generally work. Better ones would involve a modeller (which I don't have a suitable one I can use) & sharing DAZ copyright material (not permitted), so I have gone as far as I can with autofit clones for Generation 3.
The tutorial also covers morphing between characters. The tutorial shows how to load other generation 3 characters and have them as full body morphs that enable V3 (or A3 or M3 or... any other Generation3 base figure) to morph into H3, then M3, GV3 and A3 etc. A side effect is that the character can morph from male to female. And all existing V3/M3 character morphs can be included in the figure in a similar way to Genesis3/G8/G9 and morph between any of them at the stroke of a slider.
The tutorial short-changes you a bit - I claim that it's a 69 page pdf, while it actually came out at 68 pages after the last edit. However, it shows everything necessary to generate the TriAx gen3 character in an order that works. It does not show how to create clothing templates for the good behaviour of capes & dresses/skirts. Mostly because I don't yet know how to do it. One further thing it does not do is show how to improve the joint weighting. You are left with the [pretty terrible] DS approximation of the original Poser joint parameters. It's no worse than in Poser 4 or 5, but it needs care to chose camera angles where elbows, hips/buttocks and knees look OK. I hope to be able to do something about that myself one day.

Daz Studio slowing down when animatingI presume it's 4.22.0.15 or 4.21.0.5... as there's never been a downloadable version of 4.22.0.5....
First, if you mean copy / paste keyframes... yes that'll take some time depending on the numer of animated objects, joints and properties. To me, taking 5 - 10 seconds is not a big deal.
1. Odd ~~ As for manually-keyed animation, though DS has build-in Auto Keying, if you do not change the pose / joint rotation, or key in to change a property value, no keyframe will be added....You may chase down to what was keyed by Expanding All...or in Key Graph.
2. "Keymate" you mentioned should be "Key Graph" now in latest version of DS... but I'm not sure what you mean by "...adding every morph setting to the time line not just the ones you have used...". You mean the morph properties values with Interpolation or sth. ?
Help With Creating a Merchant ProductWhat I would recommend, for a curtain that can be pulled back, is for you to simulate the cloth in the open and closed positions and make it a morph target. That's certainly what I'd expect as the end user.

Did anyone do a Clothing Converter from V3,V4,M3,M4 to Genesis 3,8,9 M&FYeah, I agree. I have tried, but GV3 doesn't seem to transfer well from Gen3 with GenX2.
I did commission a character as a GV3 look-alike for G8F, and she's my favourite G8F character. Had to commission as my modelling efforts were not a success.
I've tweaked the figure a bit since, but I'm very happy with it.

It will not be available in 4.21 ,it has to be upgraded to the latest public build for the serial number to work . Which is 4.22 ...the Face Transfer 2 is included in that build and the serial number opens unlimited on it .
The latest general release is now 4.22.0.15 and has FT2

Can I ask what you want to do with the Gen 3 & 4 clothing? It's frequently not as good as G3-G9 clothing in the way it's made, but sometimes has more imagination. Is it that making you want to use it on the later generations?
I'm curious, as I have gone to some efforts to take clothing from Genesis 3/8 to V3 so I can use my V3 characters (which I haven't been able to transfer to G8 satisfactorily, so taking clothing the other way was more practical). In the end I got to use new clothing on V3 and V3 characters, and I'm delighted.

That makes sense. I dug into my file structure and noticed a few other things that were getting muddled up, so ended up pulling my custom things out into a separate folder and uninstalling and reinstalling the program and all my Daz core characters and essentials. From there, everything worked great! Definitely my setup that was causing the error. The first test with the new install ended up with a distorted body and a head morph not matching the intended shape, but that was also an error on my part. When the dialogue asking whether you wish to restore or zero the figure came up, I chose Restore. That gave odd results. When I tried again and chose Zero instead, the conversion came out looking great. The figure Mrs. Chow 8, and while the Genesis 9 version ended up shorter and slightly smaller that the Genesis 8 one, the shape itself looked just right. I fiddled with the proportion sliders on G9 to fix the height difference and then resaved it. Perfect! Thanks very much for the help as I stumbled through it. Now that everything is ironed out on my end, I'm loving the converter. Great work!

There is a message "Could not set modifier "Converter Morph" to 1", which indicates it could not find the Converter Morph after transfer.
If you try using one of the other conformers in the script, does it "work" (no "could not find" message? If you load /data/SickleYield2018/RSSYG2ToG8Converter/Conformers/RSSY Genesis 2 to Genesis 8 Converter/Converter Bodysuit.duf directly into a scene (just drag it into the scene from the file explorer), is there a Converter Morph?

Yet the morphs are already installed. Looks as though for some reason Daz cannot point to the morph files.
barbult I think I will go with your suggestion. I think I will clear out the content folder start again monitor the installations and put all the third-party manually installed content in different folders

I look at all the folders delete the morphs from the data folder then go through and delete the textures finally went into the character folder and delete all the corresponding entries to the character. If it was only a morph like the ones that magnus1781 from Deviantart make free to us then I just deleted the morph and any folders relating to the morph

Daz Studio slowing down when animatingI can see what's happening here, as I have keymate installed
I was animating the Genesis 9 figure over 500 frames when it was taking some 5 to 10 seconds to copy and paste a sequence in the time line?
I could see 2 issues
1. For some reason Daz Studio is adding a keyframe to the timeline that you arn't actually adding yourself.
2. This one is the killer, I looked into the animation time line using keymate and found out it was adding every morph setting to the time line not just the ones you have used hence the issue
I did go through hundreds of keys and removed all the ones I hadn't actually used to make it workable

And the same character brought into Facetune. I think the combo is a game changer! And the sweater of course stays the same.
