Genesis 3 & 8 Face Controls

Good question is can Face Controls expression be saved and used as morph or a pose preset separately on other characters without FC rig, and is there a way somehow to export FC expression to blender? Big thanks
I don't think so with the external FACS control rig as included in MetaMixer product that works with Genesis 3 / Genesis 8 / Genesis 8.1 but I may be wrong. With FACS based expressions integrated directly into Genesis 9 however, those can be.
Documentation HelpThe perfect SOP is always making geograft on Base figure, then you dial Feminine / Masculine morph(s) to further make F/M versions of grafts accordingly, as well as fixed bs if needed.
But if you do need to work on F/M figure for rigging geografts, in Transfer Utility dialogue box, set "Current" into Source - Item Shape and check "Reverse Source Shape From Target".
Documentation HelpI've searched around the internet and on these forums. I went to the DAZ documentation center but that isn't what I need; most of it is on how to use DAZ Studio and I know how to use it. I am trying to build products for Genesis 9 and 8. Genesis 8 is fairly straight forward as far as geografting and shaping is concerned. The same can be said for genesis 9 as far as shaping is concerned (export base obj, create morph in some other software, import new shape, morph loader pro...yada yada) but with geografts is where it gets interesting. I can take a portion of the base genesis 9 (with female morph dialed in) and duplicate vertexes to a new object, shape the object, load it back into DAZ Studio, mark the attachment surface and the hidden surface... all of that is standard for G9 as it was for G8 however my geografts always end up in the wrong place. I suspect because the transfer tool needs this to be on the zero'd (shape/position) G9 base figure. The pose is now zero'd always but I want to build content for each of the base shapes (feminine and masculine) seperate. How is this accomplished? Does everyone just mode/transfer it on the base always? I've tried all the options under the tool and nothing seems to work. I am purchasing this offering from the store: https://www.daz3d.com/essential-introduction-to-genesis-9-for-content-creators (it doesn't specifically call out geografts but I am sure there are some useful things here for me to know still) to help me but I am also looking for documentation on this for Genesis 9. My google fu might not be up to the task of finding this information but any links you all have would be appreciated! Again, G8 is fairly straight forward so I would like specifically for topics on geografting for genesis 9. It seems weird to me for such a mature product (G9) to not have this documenation easier to locate. Perhaps it is just me? Thanks in advance!
Gen 9 body shapesI've always ripped into 3d figures with the scale parameters. As Daz figures progressed, it's always gotten more succesful to do that. The head might not be included in that statement, but Genesis 1, could do some head scaling, i remember shrinking the head "Y" scale. It might be "wrong" (messing up some controllers I'm unaware of) but sometimes just "adjust rigging to shape" might be needed. G9 seems to be the most pliable of them all. I frequently scale the different spines "1,2,3,4" and then the pelvis, rather than struggle to find some morphs. At this point, I'm just learning G9, but in earlier figures that I had way too many morphs for, still, many times direct scaling was better than the pro morphs for what I wanted to do. Also, some morphs seem to be just scaling things anyway, and I don't see a difference between that and doing it myself. So, go ahead, scale it, fire it in with your mighty mouse button. And since we're suggesting morph packs here, lets not forget Sickelyield's generous G9 free morphs! https://sharecg.com/v/99782/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/SY-200-Free-Morphs-Merchant-Resource-G9 HAPPY NEW YEAR, peace
Face Transfer 2I can confirm, that if ears are covered on the reference image

Face Transfer 2 can recreate the ears from the scratch.
Below are the renders of the untouched Genesis 9 created with FT2,
so areas around the mouth are flat. Also notice stains on the face coming from the hair on reference image.

creating a face from a photoDaz Studio doesn't have a morph creation tool, though a weightmapped Push Modifier may offer some aspects. Most people creating morphs use an external application (e.g. Blender, 3D Coat, ZBrush).

but the facial morphine is not loaded

Angela 9 hd teen skin add on is there a teen morph for her?I attempted to contact Daz Support about this some time ago, reasoning that if a product is purely a DO, it was reasonably likely to have been done in house or by specific commission - and therefore the information about morph combinations might be available.
I was not spectacularly impressed to be told that they could neither answer it, nor would make any efforts to answer it.
My assumption is that either it involves some of P3D's Teen morphs that came out as a DO around the same time, or Angela and Growing Up morphs, but I've not yet found that close a match.

On the contrary. I am trying not to purchase that product as I already purchased Sickleyield and RiverSoft Art's entire G9 converter suite.
I do see RSC and non-RSC .dsf files. You can tell by the dates on the image attached I tried to convert morph 01 recently to see if I could figure out how to convert just the body. I do not see FHM (head) morphs. Could this be because I didn't use the regular converter script? Can I delete an RSC or non-RSC file to get just the body? I have 1 custom character that was made in part with those morphs. I should probably delete that character prior to deleting any converted morph files. I appreciate the customer support.
I would delete all those files first and then try the regular script (and then post the log of the conversion here). Some vendors do a poor job and don't identify head morphs by using FHM in the name. I don't have this product so I am making guesses here. By posting the log, I can see which morphs that the script were able to detect as the head (if any). If there is no such morph, the script would convert it as a body or whole figure morph.
Angela 9 hd teen skin add on is there a teen morph for her?Hi Happy New year
I picked up Angela 9 and the teen skin add on https://www.daz3d.com/angela-9-hd-teen-skin-add-on in the sales and was wondering where do I get the teen morph from? thats in the demo images?
thanks
Morph Loader Pro and EyeballsIt would be really odd if you found no such an issue before importing morph with HeadSplitter but then got such an issue after importing and dialing the head morph... Have you checked if it was the case ?
And normally if it was the rigging to shape issue, there would be distortion rather than wrong rotations... Pls also check, with Show Hidden Properties, if there's any unexpected properties dialed in Parameters pane - Currently Used...
Morph Loader Pro and EyeballsI feel like half the time I try to create and import a morph using Morph Loader Pro this happens, and the other half of the times MLP works just fine, and I can never figure out what I did to screw things up.
I'll follow along with a good video like this one, and everything works great until I try to move the eyes around.
I saw a post that suggested selecting the eyes in Geometry Editor, converting to vertex selection, and clearing selected deltas from favorites, but that just ends with the eyballs popping out of the skull.
I'm mad at myself for having never figured this out, even after all of these years. :-(
Face Transfer2 for younger folksFace Transfer is only for faces, it doesn't try to adjust bodies. We also have to be realistic, the potential for abuse if it could do this readily is considerable so Daz may not want to make the process work better (but that doesn't mean they definitely won't, and you could report the issues you are having via a ticket.

Thanks! I didn't know 1 was so easy.
As for 2, by cloth door I mean like a curtain (but I'm using it as door for dressing rooms in a retail store). So I wouldn't be opening it like a normal door but having a piece of cloth go from being bunched up to one side to opening up and covering the gap (hope that makes sense). Do I just simulate the two poses with D-Force and then set a control dial on it?
make a morph
Morph will appear in parameters. Can also save as 1-click shaping preset
Problem with morphs is the interpolation between 0% and 100% may end up with something undesirable at, say, 50%. So you may need to add a series of hidden morphs that come into effect as CTRL morph is dialled up, rather than just having 1 morph.
Face Transfer2 for younger folksHave you tried using it with either Growing Up for Genesis 9 or Time Machine or something similar?
I don't have FT2, so I wouldn't know if that would work. But Face Transfer wouldn't get the youthful proportions - I wouldn't think

Face Transfer2 for younger folksI was curious, is there a way to do a face transfer with FT2 for teenagers and kids. I've tried and had some pretty funky results.
