[Released] Basalt Cave Builder [Commercial]hey, some of the column clusters can used to depict the "bridge" that V'ger formed to lonk the Enterprise to its inner complex as depicted in "Star Trek: the Motion Picture".
FilaToon / Cell shaded rendering with Filament3Diva Star looks great in Filatoon! I really like your softer outlines and shadows, and lovely hair shading.
necroscension That's super cute!!

Some trivia

Not just DeForest Kelly. Although Leonard Nimoy was Gene Roddenberry's first choice for the role of Spock, he was obligated to audition others (ust in case); among these were DeForest Kelly, Martin Landau (who never appeared in Star Trek but went on to Sci Fi fame for Space:1999) and Victor Lundin (who later went on to portray 'Friday' in the Sci Fi film "Robinson Cruseau on Mars" and was the first actor to portray a Klingon on-screen)

FilaToon / Cell shaded rendering with FilamentThe semi-realistic look is interesting. I like that people are exploring different styles and thinking outside the box! :D The exploration and experimentation is a lot of fun, IMO!
Star was my first 3D purchase (I believe she might have been at Rendo at the time, but I can't remember for sure). She's still one of my favorite figures and I think she looks great with Filatoon. (This has minor Photoshop tweaks for color and contrast).
Is the atmosphere ruined?(closed)...excellent comment.
I am one who still "rolls their own" when it comes to developing characters.. About the only character models I still use "out of the box" are those like AIko3 and Sadie along with "unique" ones such as those by RawArt and Oso3D. .My requirement for purchasing any new character model is that it has to add something unique or different that I can use in the process of character development. For example my "star character", Leela, is a mix of over a half dozen different characters from three different Genesis generations.
I also tend to be more big on morphing, shaping, conversion, and various merchant resource content that add more options and variety.
The same goes for kitbashing (the Geometry Editor is an incredibly useful tool for this).
This has all been driven by having to work on pretty much a shoestring budget (particularly these days as I am retired on a fixed pension)..which demands resourcefulness and patience.
Yes, it does take more planning time, and effort, but in the end, the final results are always worth it

One of my favorite things about Filatoon is that it breathes new life into the older figures. This is the Star! Original Figure https://www.daz3d.com/star-original-figure with my custom Filatoon shaders.
Are you talking about actual new toon shaders for filament or presets for Filatoon.
New shader presets using the FilaToon shader as a base, not a completely new shader. Kind of like the Altern8 skin shader system but for FilaToon. I'm still not very good with the shader mixer. lol

YouTube is still pretty sure I'm in Japan, and while I know some Japanese, I'm nowhere near fluent enough to read or listen at commercial speed. This means that fairly often, I'm not even sure what's being advertised. Ironically, I saw yet another ad for Hero Wars, but this one at least showed some of what I think the actual gameplay is like.
...Yahoo thinks I live in the UK as everytime I open their main page I get UK and European news as well as sports.

I missed it all. Everything from Monday morning, through Halloween, to tonight (Sat. 11/2) Emergency ambulance to local Jamestown hospital, then ambulance to "Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute". Congestive Heart Failure. Grossly swollen legs, couldn't breathe, etc. They drained the excess fluid from legs & lungs, did angiogram and found I have about 1/3 normal function. Eventually decided to give me a stent to open a heart vessel that was about 98% blocked. Forced me to eat liquids and bland food for too many days. Gave me a raft load of new medicines ($$$), but they did ship me home, right to my door. Yay! Heart not all fixed, but at least I can breathe and sleep and walk.
...relieved to hear you're OK. I was getting a bit concerned there. Definitely doesn't sound like a pleasant experience. . .

I am going to see Smile 2 today. I hope it is good. I haven't seen Smile 1 yet but hopefully that is okay?
You might want to see the first one. The first one is always better than the Sequel.
What about Star Trek movies? I'm pretty sure II (Wrath of Khan) is widely thought better than I (The Motion Picture).
II was indeed better than I. And you kind of didn't need to see I to appreciate II. III (Search for Spock) and IV (Return Home; AKA, "the Whales") were also good. V was a good story but a bad implementation. I thought VI (The Klingon one) was very good.
The 3 with Chris Pine were good stories but had a lot of flaws. Decent action. There's rumor that they want to do another one. Better hurry up, 'ole Chris Pine is going to be pushing 50 in a few years. Captain Kirk's median age is mid-30s, per Roddenberry's original vision.

Yeah, Pre G8 figures are perfect for it, because lips, nails, nipples, the different parts of the eyes all have their own material zones. You can get away with minimalist texturing that way, and it looks fantastic.

I keep getting Spanish videos for some reason. "I only speak 2 languages, English and bad English"

Maybe you should start watching Japanese videos and see if the algorithm explodes.
I was already watching a non-zero number of Japanese videos, so it probably wouldn't make that big of a difference.

Ella Purnell?
If it was the intention... A shot quite far from the target...
Was really just opening the discussion, certain promo shots are closer but by no means a definite.
I might be wrong, but to me, she looks like Marina Sirtis who played Deanna Troi on Star Trek:TNG.
Fairly certain it's Razane Jammal
