They have the projection morph working really well I tested on a new suit which has hard surfaces all over the place and it didn't crumple at all so thumbs up DAZ!
Carrara 8.5 Questions1 - Use the one you like best (Blender is more alive, Carrara is kind of dead or at least very slooooow in that area), Blender has better modeling tools I would think, Carrara on the other has has a lot of cool things hidden in there but for pure modeling and export to DS I would think Blender would be better, but they will both get the job done.
2 - Carrara has a flexible shader configuration that is easy to use, but I am sure there are more premade free stuff for Blender
3 - Don't think think there is much difference, you will have to finish it in DS either way.
4 - Subdivision cages works best with quads if possible, if it's not subdivision triangles are easier to work with (always planar)
5 - If you have a bow I think people expect to get some poses with it, a two pose bow is not of so much use, better to have a morph so you can set it any way you want, the best would be to add some bones to it I think, don't make two bows, difficult to swap between them.

And obviously a Thorne morph. Quite a nice one, too. And it would appear that Izabella is losely translated from Ysabeau. Although I think Ysabeau was taller.

Installing with DIM and Daz 4.9 Pro connect issues.Hello all ,
. I reinstalled everything via DIM but still not possible , resource error. Tried starting CMS , still nothing happens. Firewall automatically prompted me to permit Daz as an exception rule , added Daz , but no CMS connection possible.
I changed nothing in the CONTENT DIRECTORY MANAGER , I changed anything. . All of a sudden after start up , some 'updates(?) occured (little orange progress bar showed up at the bottom of Daz) and 'poof' all gone , no CMS possible. I read the same happened in the forums and some came up with deleting temp here and that , adding a script here and so etc. etc.
I will not go that far and deep , it worked perfectly untill 3 days ago, so something changed either from my site (I really cannot guess what) or something went wrong in Daz 4.9 Pro.
I attached some files , maybe thay can shine a light on anything.

MEC4D PBS shaders vol.2 -Released- [Commercial]I don't think it would work as merchant resource , it will be not possible to edit and make it your own, one wrong value and everything turns white or gray , my plan with this is to use it as shader for G3 figures with all possible skin tones and skin textures like smooth, rough etc.. tanned , dark light and cover most everything .. like creation pack with additional eyes and other materials .. and it may work in all light as long it is proper PBR light as the light actually generate the texture on the skin like in real life but you don't have to be specialist on it as long you don't trow it in empty scene with headlamp light or render with interactive . The oly thing what will make it unique is Morph of the character or HD morph , and each time you turns the light the skin will change it''s appearance what is actually cool , it is like with brushed aluminum metal , it will be possible to add own imperfections as bump maps and displacement channel can be mixed with as it is free .. anyway I still need to find the proper guide for it as it is in a very early stage of construction , I may find even better guide for usage and change my mind about merchant resource idea but can't tell much now about , I still learning my new ways myself , and I may have the knowledge but in practice not everything works in DS the way we want it to work if you know what I mean :)

How about Genesis 2?
Genesis 2 does not come with a child morph, but you can purchase the Growing Up products (one for Genesis 2 Male and one for Genesis 2 Female). They will give you morphs ranging from 5 years old to Adult. They work very well.

Angel's ArtI normally add things to the gallery. I'll still do that but get bored sometimes when there is very little interaction, if any at all. Sometimes I want to talk about art with people.. you know?
I do a more sculpting new youth figures then anything else. I used to make adult renders a lot but I got a lot of complaints because people would say they look underage. LOL! oops... That wasn't the plan. :O
At first I was getting mad... But. I decided, Instead of getting mad, and giving up. I thought... Why not intentionally make a young girl...?
So I did, and as it turns out, I'm good at it. I discovered a hidden talent that was whispering at me from the beginning :P
That was several years ago, and now days I've pretty much adopted it as my workflow to sculpt them, primarily with Zbrush.
I hope to get some comments and feedback on some of my stuff and questions hopefully I can answer. Let's start out with one of my favorite renders I've made recently.
This is Lila, Genesis 3 Female. Skin set is a combo mix from Zevo's youth morph merchant resource and Honor G3.

I've written Iray off as too slow for my current rig, but all the Iray shader packs out there are making me a bit green. What I've read says "no," but I'd love to be wrong.Shaders are iffy -- chances are they won't transfer, Products that don't have complex shaders should convert pretty well except for things like metals.
Backwards Gen MorphingIt can transfer back from G2 to G1, it can't transfer to the pre-Genesis figures
Backwards Gen MorphingFunny thing, I've not picked up Genx yet (but I did get all the add-ons in preperation of getting Genx) I wasn't aware GenX took genesis 2 morphs and transfered them to G1, M3, V4, etc. I thought it was to take all the lesser gens and transfer them to Genesis 1/2.
Bad hair dayGenesis (1st one) has a Basic Child morph...should be under Actor > Universal.
How about Genesis 2?
Backwards Gen MorphingI'm pretty new to Daz considering (I came in around the time of genesis 2) and am only just getting where I need to be with that generation.
Now we have genesis 3 out but I am definately not ready to move up, however there are some morphs/figures I'd like to use that are G3.
What would be cool would be a reverse genx so-to-speak where you can load your G3 morphs and transfer them to G2.
I know that due to differences in poly's an exact replica isn't possible, but maybe a best-guess/real close adaptation?

Pd Iray Shader Kit 2 by ParrotdolphinHm, I was thinking of doing something similar with the UV mapping thing, and my *theoretical* approach was the following:
- Export the figure as OBJ
- Retop/Remap it with a uniform UV (I believe there are freebie utilities to do this)
- Import it back in and use the transfer utility on the obj (may need to convert prop to figure)
Another method I thought of was using geografts, which is similar to how the V4 to G3F UV utilities work...
