...micro quakes are rather common here (particularly with Mt Hood and St.Helen's nearby) that they pretty much go unnoticed. As I also live close to the train station probably wouldn't know the difference if it was a heavy freight train pounding by or an earth tremor.

I remember one morning when I was still living back in Milwaukee WI in 1969, the ground shook for a moment,  At first I thought a train had derailed as we were less than a block away from a major freight rail line (dual tracks).  I was surprised to hear on the radio that it was due to a minor earthquake in south central Illinois.  We thought, an earthquake, in the Midwest? Those only happened in California and Alaska.

Of course as we learned afterwards, the strongest earthquake ever recorded in US history occurred in that region back in 1811 along what is called the New Madrid Fault.  Of course (and fortunately) the region was sparsely populated at the time with St Louis a trading post, while Chicago and Milwaukee were outpost forts. Predictions are that if another quake of similar magnitude hit the area today cities like St Louis, Little Rock and Springfield would be flattened while Chicago, Des Moines, and even Milwaukee would sustain major damage since nothing in that region was ever built or has been retrofitted to withstand seismic activity like here on the west coast.

I'm very grateful it was just a fence.  I think our neighborhood faired very well.  We still have power, too.  I've heard there are close to 200,000 homes without power this morning in our area.  

I was just out taking video and photos of all of the damage in the backyard.  The tree that was down was taller than the house and now it is laying on its side and the entire root ball is up out of the ground with another section of fence sitting on top of it.  I don't know what type of tree it was.  It is some type that didn't have one central trunk, but had a lot of trunks close together and all of the roots kind of interlock.  I'll have to do some research and let you know what it is when I find out.  I'd say it was probably a good 20 feet tall and the base with all of the trunks together spread out about 5 feet.  I can't even get to the other side of the tree to take pictures because the branches are are spread out blocking the other section of the yard and fence.

That is part of the same tree that is down (off to the right of the downed fence there is a little tree and then the rest is the downed tree) and it blocks the rest of the fence so I don't know if that back part of the fence is still standing or not.  As soon as I can get out, I'll try to take some pictures from the other side if I can get to it.  I haven't checked to see if the curfew has been lifted yet.

The house looks fine, no missing roof tiles and nothing actually hit the house.  In the front, there are palm fronds everywhere and we have someone's recycling bin in our front yard near the new van.  It doesn't look like either of the cars got hit by anything, though.  I didn't see a single scratch on either one of the cars.  I only saw one coconut on the ground.  They keep the coconuts harvested pretty well around here.  Most of the coconuts in our tree are young ones and they are all still in the tree.

25,000 MORE (in addition to the 15,000) have now lost power in Florida, even as Irma is still out there and not even to the Keys. That's as of 8:40am Central time. Governor Scott is talking now. 

I think I'll buy the android from today and MRL Mutations. For the freebie, since I have so much V4 stuff, there's not a lot to choose from. Heavenly Demise works on V4 or The Girl, and I can transfer the materials to more current  generations. Take a look at the variety, if you are also trying to find something usable.

Not feeling good about this 11pm- if you look at the cone on the nhc.noaa.gov, it no longer comes in dead center at the tip. The stupid thing has shifted WEST and stays over the water a bit. I understand the track is just a guessimate, but it even states the ridge got stronger that will keep it going west. So actually not a guess. This means if it keeps shifting west, it is going to start being in the GOM. (Gulf Of Mexico)  And now will probably remain as a Category 5 on arrival. 

"Apparently the ridge to the north of Irma has been stronger than expected, and the initial motion remains westward, or 280/11 kt."

One thing I found out- the European model's input comes in the 5am discussion, it is running when the 2am comes out. (4am and 1am Central time)  So you will get more accuracy in the 5am as more models are involved (70 computers make up the European, only 20 for the GFS American model. They input different variables into each one, changing probably only one thing at a time if they are doing it using the correct scientific research method.) 

They totally called Jose wrong (first "only a tropical storm" THEN "only a Category 1) and now it's a Category 3! so this shift to the west has many in the panhandle watching this closely. I can't imagine it coming into the gulf on the west side of the peninsula- all the people who evacuated here would be thinking, "REALLY? Gimme a break!!" 

Good news- the two horses from South Florida arrived safely at the barn, four more arriving Sunday. It took an extra two hours for them to get from Jacksonville to Pensacola, normally 6- 6 /12 hours and took them 8. That's not bad. Tomorrow would be worse!

Took me long enough lol....I am in the process of making a Projection morph so tops fit flush and properly on flat chested figures. Update might not be ready for release but I'll try. If not it will be released soon after. I will also try and Update the Genesis 3 Female version of Growing Up as well. Might add this to Fit Control too if I can get it across.

I've moved to NY State so I'm no longer in the path but I lived in Melbourne, FL (central east coast Florida)  for several decades.  And according to latest predictions Irma is going right up the east coast.  I was there in 1979 Labor Day Weekend and went through the eye of "David", then in 2004 was hit by all four of the hurricanes that hit Florida that year (Charley, Francis, Ivan, Ivan(again), and Jeanne).  Tree on house, leaks, power out for several days, blue tarps for weeks, major tree removal process afterwards, four feet deep of palm fronds blown into the long double wide driveway.  Try putting that next to the curb for pickup!  Shingles and roofing nails all over the lawn.  Not fun.  And they were only category 1, 2, 3, and weak cat 4 hurricanes!  I have relatives on both coasts and in the middle so wherever Irma hits, someone I know will be affected.

I've got one daughter in the Redlands and one daughter with my 4 grand kids in Miami Springs ,and I'm scared silly for them!! Then there's my parent in Dunnellon in Central Florida ......plus my friends in Cutler Ridge ........

oh and my daughter's husbands and their families .....

G3 also has 4 carpals. They move around when you drag the fingers with the universal tool as well. Looks like I did that for some poses.

Yes, the brandname is a diffuse overlay. No base texures on the frame, just color. The bike is new, so no need for rust and scratches... ;-)

Strange.  I went looking for the links for you and I can't find them.  I know it's been a while since I've seen the thread.  I'll have to go looking through my bookmarks to see if I can track them down for you.  It's possible that I was wrong.  I have links to so many Iray and 3Delight lighting threads, too, that are spread all over the forums.  I could have sworn that there was a central thread for lighting as well.  I'll take a look in my bookmarks and see if I can find them.  If not, we might have to start some threads here in the Art Studio for lighting in Iray and another for lighting in 3Delight.  

I could have sworn there were some already specific to just lighting for both engines.  That's one of the problems with threads that don't get a lot of traffic.  They get buried and are difficult to find.  So far, all I've found are the rendering threads for both engines which encompass everything you want to know about that particular engine.

LOL @luci45   Nothing like having an "armchair mechanic" giving you instructions when you're broken down!

Okay, I have the render links up to date to here (third post from the beginning)  There's about an hour and a half until Daz midnight (1am my time, Central.) I will be cutting it off exactly at that time. Going to be fun! I will PM you with your numbers for the drawings shortly after that.

We live an hour away and go in quite a bit.  The Circle Line makes sense and if you're flush you can get a 20 minute or so helicopter tour you'll remember forefver.  But it's spendy - figure $200 a head.  

Meals at the name restaurants are very expensive, but there are a lot of smaller places that may be better. Talk to locals when you're in town adn ask them about thigs you like.  NYC has an undeserved repuation for  not helping.  I find the opposiate.    Food trucks can be excellent.  Street meat makes a great lunch when you're moving around.  

Walk on the High Line on the Lower West Side.  It goes from Penn Station through the Meat Packing District and lets out around the West Village.  The West Village and a bit South- like SOHO - has some of the best pizza in the world.  Maybe the best. Ask the locals... there's a lot of really bad stuff too.  

I'm a big fan of Central Park - an astonishing place carved out in the middle of the city.  The city is bigger than you think.  Break it down into sections.

Little Italy is down by Chinatown and almost gone with Chinatown's growth.  You'll find some fine places there, but maybe a bit spendy.  

Brooklyn is the up and coming place that can be worth a visit if you want to see a bit more vibrance and maybe a bit more grit.  

Have fun.. I've been going in for more than 20 years and find something new every time.  

A bit more..  Manhattan is really a collection of communities each with their own character.  Most people just see midtown ..  it's crazy busy, but there are some much quieter areas that may be as interesting or more interesting.  

There's a chance you might be interested in fashion and design.  The Fashion Institute of Technology has a little free museum that usually has an interesting exhibit.  Between it and Paron's you'll see a lot of street fashion - very different and much more interesting that what walks on the runways and way more interesting that most of what you find for sale here..  Seriously - some of the better DS PAs should spend some time watching street fashion.  The Fashion District is along 7th and in Midtown, but is mostly a historical artifact.  Design has moved downtown and to Brooklyn.  

And there are crazy little museums for almost everything .. people with a passion.

Thank you @escrandall! High Line is on the list. I heard about Artichoke Basille's Pizza near the Meat Packing District. Central Park is a definite, and we might have time to go to Brooklyn. That museum in FIT sounds cool. I know my wife will like it. We're also going to the Tenement Museum on the Lower East Side, and the NY Historical Society on the West Side.

Regarding Italian food, have you tried Paesano's or Parm's on Mulberry Street, or Tony's Di Napoli on 43rd?
