  • You, too, can make a difference - adopt a Hunting Drake, today! (Commercial)

Great looking models! I'd love to have a morph to lose the horns on the back and a riding tack and armor for them, how cool would it be to going into battle riding one of these?

In my cart, of course. Could you be persuaded to consider a morph expansion so we can have an indivdualised look in a pack of the little darlings as they chase Vicky and Michael down? We wouldn't want to reward the wrong one at the conclusion of the hunt, after all.

  • Mimicking

I have a huge library. I've been collecting items since before I went to DAZ. I was using Poser 5, or 4. Or... you know. Way back when. I could animate a plane like you describe, but it won't have the right feel. There are morphable oceans out there, and I'll probably get one eventually, but I'm also looking for a beach that has morphing waves for one of my bigger planned projects. I've yet to find one. I seem to remember there was an object set that had waves you could add. If I could find that, I could just morph the waves myself using deformers.

This video has waves and a beach.. but this set does not work in the new daz version just in poser it stop working in daz after version 4.6

  • Helen Hunt look-alike model?

Well, I didn't forget but so far on my tries to use the Poser 10 Pro Morph Brush to transfer I've been having big trouble around the eyes. As I am also busy with spring plantings so I'll go ahead and post the DSF file here. It is for Genesis 2. I'd recommend buying Facegen and then trying out diiferent photos yourself so you can decide which likenesses you like best. You can also use the demo before you buy with as many pictures as you like. It's easier to judge the accuracy in your eye yourself and it's made easier to judge that if you turn off the texture in FaceGen. Facegen can also randomize faces and let you create your own faces and choose ethnicities and such. It really is a great product.

If you are better with the Poser 10 Pro Morph brush than I am you shouldn't have a problem transferring the shape because I understand V4 has more polygons with which to transfers the G2F shape too. The other direction would be more difficult but possible as all the V4, M4, Freak 2 Genesis products prove.

  • Refitting Legacy to Legacy

Well, I can't do the poser one. But here's what I did:

I took the Annabelle dress and refitted it for Himeko using resizing, a couple of dforms, and smoothing modifier. So I have this morph form in the dress now that fits himeko.

And that's where I get lost. It looks great on her. The bones are off in the arms and I can't get them to go where they need to go.

I tried converting Himeko to triax, which works well, and then autofitting but that just made a mess of the dress.

  • Morph Character System

My apologies if I have missed a better location for this question.....

Where can I learn about this system?

Does it render in DS and Poser?

Does it use the regular clothing found in DAZ or something different?

    Thanks.

  • Refitting Legacy to Legacy

3 ways, off the top of my head...none are all that easy.  I'm sure there are more...

    1. Use Poser and it's morph brush to create a fit morph for the item.

    2. Use Dforms to do the same in Studio.

3, Take the model, in zero pose and the clothing into a modelling program and fit it there, export the clothing.  Import as a morph in Studio.  I do remember there being a tutorial for this one involving using Hexagon...

  • Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.9.1.30! (HOTFIX - Release Candidate 3 - UPDATED)

OK,, I seems found why it happen,, when I test same thing with genesis2male (female) and save it as scene (not save as morph assets)  then re-load it,,

the temp morph can auto-foloow correcltly..

then,,  I compare , saved two duf files.   one is with genesis3male, the other is with genesis2male. and I could found,

"scene>modifiers>(tempmorph) >parent"  field value seems  different way  to set the value.

     gen2m.duf  >  parent: genesis2Male-1,   (it can auto-follow)

gen3m.duf    > parent: geometry,  (it can not work correctly).

then If I edit the modifier >morph > parent: genesis3Male-1, then overwrite the scene,, it work.

(but I do not know,, it is actually correct way  or not,,

because I keep, other modifiers ( Navel morph or PBMMouthRealHD,, )  parent : geometry. (but these morphs are saved as dsf in data already)

I do not think it caused by Plug in,, etc,, And I only install genesis3starer essential DIM version. not install daz connect version.

I feel this is new genesis3figure problem. (how it discribe, modifiers,, in DSON)

  • Couple of Head Morphs

These are actually for G3F and G3M, Saphirewild, and no, you do not need any special morph packages for them as they are custom morphs created in ZBrush. Once placed correctly in your content library they'll show up automatically in your parameters tab as sliders when you load G3F or G3M.

Oh, and thank you for sharing them, CJ!

  • Victoria 4.2 to Victoria 3 how does that work?

Using the V4.2 to V3 figure:
You get the basic V3 body shape with the V4 head, you can use V4 head morphs to change the face but neither V4 nor V3 body morphs.
Workaround: If you have Morphing Clothes by Dimension3d, you can transfer V3’s morphs into the V4-V3 figure.
You would treat V4toV3 as a clothing and transfer V3 morphs to her and save as a new cr2.

  • Morph Loader Pro: Working morphs on Fit items

    Hi,, I have send suport ticket with pic,, , then suporter reply thrree times,,,, but unfortunately,, dev team  can not re-create this bug ^^;

Of course,, I try same thing, everytime,, I see this problem, then send same steps,,,

, but dev teams can not re-create bug,    then she ask me,

"One thing to try would be to do would be to uninstall Daz Studio 4.9.1.27 and any plugins installed for it,

and then do a fresh install of Daz 4.9 public beta 4.9.1.27, and not install any plugins.

Then, run the morph test and let me know your results." sad

what plug-in you have installed?  because,, as for me,, I have not install many plug-in I beleive.. if it only happen me and you,,

we may have same plug-in,, or same conditions, which cause thise problem,,

garibaldi hair,, or  key mate,, animate-2,, decimator,,, but I do not believe those plug-in cause this problem,,

(Actually I do not un-install ds ,, and re-install any-more,,,, then if no one can confrim it,, I may leave it off,,)

    ==============

I may find way to correct it,, then discribe, daz stuido forum, beta topic,, but I can not get reply from dev and support,

( I need to edit duf code,,, then can not recommend the way , and I can not confirm it hosuld work for each case)

then hope if you can see same problem,, just send support ticket.. without it,, daz seems not correct it. (or

daz think, it  only happen for some user with their individual setting, )

Daz has a bunch of great ship models.  I use to use a morph able water pane by nerds . but they don't work in this version of daz.  . So i found using animated texture maps script in a water pane. looks better. & Dragonstorm has a great animated texture script i use with daz 4.8  but i have not got to for daz 4.9 yet because the way I have my stuff loaded.and running both software at the same time.
Yes your right it takes a little while to build yourself a good library of content to work with. that is why learning how to put different models prop, texture kits and just mixing sets together to to make up new unique sets (Hense the term "Kit Bashing")  is helpful.   Ha Ha smiley

Can geografting or transfer utility help with that, or is there another way to do it?

  • How to make Connect installed content show in Content library tab

I downloaded Aiko 3.0, Victoria 3.0 SAE, and several Morph INJ/REM files for them using DAZ Connect.

The big problem here is that those old morph sets work only if the morphs are installed to the same runtime location as the base figure — and the way Connect works, every single product is essentially in a runtime of its own, so the script files that load the morph data into the figure can't find any of their data. DAZ has said a fix is in the works, but until then the only way to make those old figures and morphs work is to install using DIM or manually.

Considering how many problems like this we've seen recently, I really have to wonder about the design thinking that went on in the development of Connect — there are so many things that are either horribly bugged (for some people) or totally incompatible with the way older DAZ products work. Was Connect pushed out the door before it was ready, or were these things just not considered?

  • DAZ Studio 4.9 Pro, General Release, Now Available!

My DAZ Connect downloaded content is not showing in the normal Content Library. I am trying to figure out how to tell DAZ Studio where to find it, but have come up with nothing thus far. There are files that cannot be accessed using the Smart Content. Morph INJ/REM files do not show in the Smart Content pane. For Millennium figures I need those files in order to inject the character morphs I wish to use.

So I am asking how do I get the Content from DAZ Connect to show in the normal Content Library?

OK, thanks for the link. I've posted a detailed comment there explaining my problem, and hope to get an answer I can make use of soon. I do not want to start moving files around in DAZ Studio in order to make them accessible. If I would have to do that, I would uninstall those products and go to the DIM to install them properly.

  • How to make Connect installed content show in Content library tab

I downloaded Aiko 3.0, Victoria 3.0 SAE, and several Morph INJ/REM files for them using DAZ Connect. The problem I am having is that the INJ?REM files won't show in Smart Content. On my older computer, I still run 4.8, and that one will continue to do so. As those same files were downloaded using the DIM, a path is mapped out to include them in My DAZ 3D Library. This lets me use the INJ/REM files from the Pose folder. What I do not understand about DAZ Connect is that there is no Content Library folder to allow use of product features that come with the products. It only installs to Smart Content, and as I read above this post, those files cannot be accessed in Smart Content. So I cannot inject any morphs for the two figures to allow the creation of my characters. I also downloaded similar INJ/REM files for Victoria 4.2, and Michael 4; although the base figures had to be downloaded and installed using the DIM, since they are not available through DAZ Connect. Those INJ/REM files which were downloaded through DAZ Connect are not accessible either.

I like DAZ Connect alright except for the fact that it does not make my products fully usable; especially the Millennium Figures. This tells me that DAZ Connect is not a fully functional option as it stands at this time. Therefore it is either uninstall those files I cannot fully use, and then use the DIM to get them into a library that is fully usable, or do a lot of manual work to place the content into a fully functioning library so I can access the INJ/REM files. That's the rum me the wrong way thing about DAZ Connect; the fact that it is incomplete at this time, and DAZ 3D has chosen to release it to the general customer as it now stands. I thought the Beta Test version was supposed to be used to find and address such issues before it was released! All this is doinf as far as I am concerned is creating a lot of headaches for we the loyal users of DAZ Studio. If I did not have my other machine running 4.8, I'd be up the creek without a paddle. As it is at this time my plans for my new computer are being put on hold as far as DAZ Studio is concerned.

Is there any way to get DAZ to fix this ASAP? If not, I will be uninstalling several products in favor of using the DIM!
