Windows 10 "A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established."
I ended up with this message today on Win7- and now for whatever reason the hex/studio bridge does not work. I've not uninstalled anything and had been in the middle of working a morph between Hex/Studio and this message popped up on my system.
Facegen morph not appear after upgraded to 4.9I can see textures files but not morph in Daz studio
Lips, not so realAlso note that is mouth is much smaller that other G3M men. The fact that Genesis 3 has facial rigging allows that small mouth to be posed without messing up the morph like it would have in previous generations.
Daz figure in a WebGL application?Very well my customer has decided to buy the commercial game license.
The EULA states that you are not allowed to sell your game license models. But is it ok for my customer to hire me to make a special morph for them? In that case I am a (temp) employee for the company.
I am sorry to pestering you with all these questions but for some reason none other ever answer my questions!
Regards
RalphA dummy for posingI bet some code could be written to use the xbox kinect and transfer the pose to Daz. Some of the VR/3D stuff people do with that gadget is insane.
mCasualJacques has already done this, the scripts and instructions are available on his website: https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts4/mcjkinectkit001
More Articulate HairA need is an "upside down" morph when A figure is bending forward or hang upside down.
Yeah, I was thinking about extreme poses due to a set I had in mind, but yeah, simple stuff like bending over is difficult to pull off without very short hairstyles.
Glute Control for Genesis 3 (Commercial)I do not how to do it or if it is possible, can I create such a multiple morph out of some your morphs?
You can but only for personal use. Put figure in sitting Pose, use the morphs you wish to get the result you want, reset the figure pose and export the dialled morph combo as a new sitting morph then import that again.

Glute Control for Genesis 3 (Commercial)here a some another image I have posted before in the one thread I have asked because of the equal geometry that is not 100% correct
Again as mention the equal geometry issue is in that products morph and not the figure. Why not ask that Vendor to update his product to fix the issue?
I know that it is in the product but it is okay for me so far (if you use the morph carefully then the result is not so obviously - also a camera angle issue). If I have the nerve I will send a note to the vendor.

On hair (G3F) - a critical note to vendorsThe Geneva has many adjustment and fit morphs, none of which where needed to get it fit Genesis 3 Female base. Fitting it to Genesis 2 Male did require parenting, scaling, translating and one fit morph but it can be made to fit.
so, should I adjust the geneva hair after every movement of the head/neck when it comes to bending or when I use some expressions that has influence on cheecks for example? That is totally worse for a product that is created for a figure.
There are a lot of hairs for g3f out there that do not follow head / neck movents correct when it comes to twist or side movements (examples: Tinkerbell hair, Flashy hair)
When Jayden/Brodie 7?I can easily live without Genesis 3 male teen, as it's no problem to still use Genesis 2 male one with the Genesis 3 female teen(s) or dial a nice one using Zev's products. But the gap shouldn't be more than one generation, or I might not buy into a new generation of figures at all - as long as I don't know I'll get what I want, sooner or later.
Talking about that - what I need more URGENT by far is little kids in the 1-6 range and a NICE baby figure - Zev's tools just don't work well for these age and it probably would just need ONE new figure as male and female body shapes aren't really different in that age, they just needs few different head morphs. DAZ really should provide these even if it means an investment today, but without you might lose potential DS customers who need exactly that for illustration or story telling. Those (kids/baby) might pay back over the time, as they could easily live for at least 3 generations of figures, but please, please, please - do it (even if that is only every 5 or 6 years).
I agree. Male teens are easy to find in previous generations or make with Zev0's products, but there is no baby or small children under 6. I have the Little Ones who are adorable but they are toons. It would be be great to have a more realistic baby/toddler and children up to 6/8 to fit the gap with appropriate clothes! I haven't tried making a baby/ toddler or young child yet in Genesis 1 but even if it's possible there's a lack of textures (except maybe Thorne/Handspan) and definitely a lack of clothes. Even Kids 4 had very little clothes and most were period style. Not even sure if K4 textures and clothes can fit G1. Probably not. This is all something a PA could do if Daz doesn't want to invest. Thorne? Handspan? Zev0?
Genesis 1 figures include a K4 clone, so all K4 clothing can be autofitted onto it. For Genesis 2 you need to transfer the K4 shape using something like GenX2, and then convert that into a clone.
Facegen morph not appear after upgraded to 4.9PLEASE HELP!...I am having problem after upgraded to Daz 4.9, cannot see new morph in parameters (can still see old morphs sent while using 4.5 version)
Facegen exporter seems to work OK when create export files,
Ageing Base Characters, from Kids to Teens to ...Maybe I haven't gotten the hang of it, but I've found the aging software while it works well for male characters doesn't really do a completely thourough job when trying to de-age some of the female characters. They tend to be so "well-endowed" that past a certain age they just doesn't appear like young people, or kids anymore rather than "Little people". Some characters do well, others don't.
Instead of using the full body of a specific purchased female (like Victoria 7), try using the base Genesis 3 Female with the Victoria head morph applied. That will result in a much more natural Teen/Tween than trying to use the character specific body will, since the Growing Up morphs are based on the default Genesis 3 bases.
HaleyYes, separate head and body morphs seriously should be standard. That's instant no-buy from me unless its extremely cheap. Though in this case, all I want is the hair. I don't understand why it must be sold together like that. Plus only offering one hair texture? What? I mean, sure , I got some hair shaders to get around that, but why?3DU has always just sold minimal textures with their hair. Back in the early days (pre studio), it was a much bigger deal, because a lot of them never got any attention from other PAs even though they were often some of the better hairs sold at the time. These days, even if they don't, there are lots of options for those of us who don't have the patience to paint those nice hair textures.
I have this in my cart, but I'm seriously doubting I'll buy because of the lack of separate head/body morphs. I read in an earlier thread that they intentionally didn't include that with the younger character because the body didn't look right without the head. I guess it was such a huge change that the head just looked weird. Maybe they should offer a generic head morph that just scales the standard G3 head to match the body so we can have more diversity...
Curly Fingers, Please Help.Glad you've found it. If it was a morph from Daz please report the issue as a bug with the morph product.
Curly Fingers, Please Help.Ok, so the issue is a morph that is not correctly adjusting the joint centres. Load your G3F and apply the pose, so that you see the bad fingers. Now with the figure selected go to the Parameters pane or the Shaping pane and click on Currently Used on the left. In the list of shapes that shows go through setting each to zero until the fingers snap into alignment.
Thank you Richard Haseltine! Fixed :) It was an overall body morph that created the conflict.
