Trouble with Morph
Click on the gear icon at the end of the morph's slider and open the Parameter Settings dialogue, then look in the Sub-Components tab to see any properties that are being controlled.
It says no components.. I'll include a pic to make sure I'm looking in hte right place.
His and Hers Biker Leather JacketsThe only decent biker leathers currently available through the Daz store are for A3. It'd be nice to have some G2 and G3 iRay compatible biker leathers. Mabye with an open and closed morph.
Two Directories IssuesI would suggest uninstalling the morph and base figure sets that are in the My Library folder and using DIM to install those products to the My Daz 3D Library. It's only ExP expansion packs you need worry about, characters using standard morphs and thing slike clothing can safely be left alone.

Appropriate child skins for growing up morph use?Unlike K4 which had lots of skins, I'm finding that using G3M skins on the growing up morph shapes doesn't work the same, and since the G3 figures are the 'be all end all' for human shapes, I need a skin which isn't for an adult. A child with razor stubble just doesn't quite cut it. Aren't there any 'child like' skin textures for G3M that would be appropriate to use for a kid? Remember K4 had rosy cheeks, slightly pink lips, soft looking skin, bright shiny eyes? I don't have any of that for the Genesis 3 figures. And all I see in the store is a MR for skins for the growing up morphs. Is that all we have as an option are these MR?? One is a bundle, but it comes with adult skins too which I'm not interested in. Thanks.
Trouble with MorphAre you sure that the morph you have favourited is directly causing the changes to the feet (not through a different morph that it is driving)?
Hmmm. I don't know. The feet move up and down when I apply the face morph I made. The only other morphs that are applied are the v4 base morphs and ++ morphs,
Two Directories IssuesA few weeks back, I took advanage Daz's big Gen3 and V4 sales; buy one item at regular price and selected others were only $4.00. And while getting bundles usually going for +$100.00 for only $4.00 is great, I discovered some issues while trying to use some of the new software. It appears at some time my directories were modified, I now have 2 sets of DAZ 3D libraries: ( sorry, my .PNG images won't load)
Daz Connect Data:
- /Users/Marc/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library
DAZ Studio Formats:
- /Users/Marc/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library
- /Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/My DAZ 3D Library
Poser Formats:
- /Users/Marc/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library
- /Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/My DAZ 3D Library
and the Install Manager has also changed the location for downloads:
/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Downloads
Case in point: Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator Morphs and Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator Add Ons (located in /Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/My DAZ 3D Library):
I load Victoria 4.2 base (from /Users/Marc/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library) and PowerLoader only shows The Girl 4, V4.2: Base Morphs, V4.2 Legacy INJection Slots, and V4.2: Morphs++, no other morph injections.
Although I can get the tail, legs, and horns morphs from Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator Add Ons to work, none of the morphs (head, body, hands, feet, and teeth) from Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator are loadable. I can locate them , but just can't get them to load.
I'm pretty sure the base issue is having the two directories, it is the solution I'm not sure about.
1.) Copy the InstallManager folder from /Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D to /Users/Marc/Documents/DAZ 3D;
Change DAZ Install Manager download setting to the new folder
Uninstall all 719 items listed in DAZ Install Manager
Delete the /Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D folder
Reinstall all 719 items
or
2.) Uninstall everything, delete both folder and then reinstall everything all over again.
Any suggestions on the best course of action?

Carrara Challenge #27: “Carrara 9, Give us a Sign” WIP Thread: Voting has started.Yes Finks plants replicated on Days of Cider ground.
...... and a bit of Maple meadows grass
the BG a 360° Carrara native render of Vale Alpina I did ages ago that took 2 days but is used a lot.
Is Kasper morph of G2M Neivo skin, a SAV hair, minotaur pants and an exnem apple core
Trouble with MorphOkay two issues. First I've never used favorites before so I'm not sure how to make sure there's nothing else in favorites. I was able to add the morph into favorites however by clicking on the heart icon.
Second I am getting an error message. It says, "This action requires geometry with the favorites morph to be selected in the geometry tool" . So I don't know what I did wrong. I'll send a screencap.
thanks
Genesis 3 Cross-Figure Resource KitNo, it's it's sort of like UV Swap for Genesis 3 allows you to trade textures between male & female Genesis 3 characters the Genesis 3 Cross Figure Resource Kit allows Genesis 3 Male & Female characters to wear each other's clothing. I have it it works fine. I used it so Genesis 3 Female can wear Genesis 3 male's sports clothing and for that Trojan or Greek kilt or skirt or whatever they calls those things in those days. Cross-Figure or not, even Genesis 3 Female has a bit of trouble fitting into some of her clothing but I did try the grey stretch sweat pants that are part of the Dark Storm Outfit on Guy 7 and they fit fine.
I think you are mixing this product up with the UV swapper by Slosh. The Genesis 3 Cross Figure Resource Kit provides no cross figure UV support, but as others have said, is used to add support for the other gender, for a clothing item intended for the opposite gender. As such it is similar to autofit, but in some circumstances does a better job (and sometimes does a worse job) than autofit alone. I got this product cheap last December, but for what it does it is only really worth getting when offered at a deep discount. The Genesis 2 version was better, as that allowed the transfer of geografts between the genders.
Can't get NBM for V4 to workHi,
I recently bought this NBM for V4, http://www.daz3d.com/nbm-for-v4
I at first installed it using DIM but after clicking V4 and injecting the morph, nothing seems to appear in the Parameters tab (even if I click the chest). I then clicked the chest to inject the morph there, but nothing happens too.
The readme says you gotta install it in the same folder as Victoria 4's runtime else it won't work so I got DIM to install it in 'My Library' where my Victoria 4.2 file is. (I got Victoria 4.2's location by right-clicking the V4.2 icon in the Content Library and then going to file location). But by doing this NBM's injection files don;t even show up in the Content Library.
Please help?!
Genesis - Blender3d@digidotz, Sorry I couldnt be more helpful. I have absolutely no experience sending animations to DAZ Studio. I always think in terms of getting the assets from DAZ to blender, never the other way around. But there's something i do a lot that comes close.
You see, most of my game characters have simplified rigs for use in the game engine but while animating, i prefer to use a rigify rig. the way i do this is by using bone constraints. each bone in the game rig would be assigned a constraint to follow the corresponding bone in the rigify rig. for example, left forearm in the game rig will be made to follow the left forearm in the rigify rig.
So if you really need to transfer the animations back to the original collada rig, you could do something similar. set up the bone constraints and have each bone follow its rigify counterpart. it's a tedious process though.
@nicstt, yeah. all genesis figures are supported except g3 males. they should be added soon hopefully... if i can just find the time :)
Dear PA's - Eyebrows aren't MirrorsI am still curious why eyebrows are on SKIN... That is a 1990's trick. I thought we were past that. Like people who put make-up on skins. Skin should just be skin, period. Eyebrows and lipstick and blush and scars and face-stubble should all be on another rendering layer. Adjustable, removalbe, editable and easy to manipulate without destroying the original image. (Destroying by re-encoding as a JPG again, turning it into a copy of a copy, which degrades image quality.)
+1
And as for symmetry, it's easier to change/morph symmetry into asymmetry than the opposite, so I'd prefer symmetry as the default. And if you use a separate layer for brows it shouldn't be a lot of work to include both a symmetrical and an asymmetrical set.
Show Us Your Bryce Renders! Part 9Well I've kept my head down modelling stuff. Some stuffs seeming to be easier to make than others... though I can't tell if that is a limitation of myself or the software. Making things that look "organic" I find particuarly challenging.
I've seen a lot of modeller folk say they have to use different programs for "organic" vs hard surface, even though each program is capable of both. So you're not alone in finding a software's way of doing some things easier than it does others. I think you could conquer all in Modo if you keep at it, but it may be worth trying some other programs to see if they gel better with you for organics. Mechano vs plasticine, etc. Anyways, I'd be over the moon if I'd made your progress.
I could also do with a brain transfer of your practical handyman skills right now. I have acquired new (1960s) house and am in the process of ripping out the old (shudder) - (no, seriously, shudder) ready for adding in the new. I'm OK with destroying things, but then...
Genesis 3 Cross-Figure Resource KitIt can also be used as a morph to feminise G3M or masculinise G3F.
For example turning Valandars new Cave Ogre into an Ogre Cavewife.
Actually you can't do this. The resource is for clothing for genesis, not genesis itself.
Hmmm..... Actually I can do (and have done) this or are you trying to tell me I shouldn't do it 'coz like it's naughty?
Say hello to BushPig (damn I missed some poke-through)
You shouldn't. That's not what the tool was made for. It puts files in that could mess up your install.

Genesis 3 Cross-Figure Resource Kitit allows you to use g3f clothes on g3m and g3m clothes on g2f
That's it? Can't you already do that with autofit?
Yes and no. The instructions actually suggest you try auto-fit first, iirc. But this makes it easy to put clothing on your female, morph to male, and then save as a clothing item for the male. And vice versa. I have it, and it's come in handy from time to time. If you can get it for free, take DAZ up on the offer!
