Teen Josie 7
Is Josie 7 better for creating petite figures then? I believe the next shortest figure is the recently released Sunny 7, but I could be wrong...
Not really; I use up to about 12% Growing-up morph to get petit figures. I do like the textures on the character, but not worth it just for those imo. Well, when its on offer sure. The Josie 'narrow' morph could be useful, but the Growing up morphs has similar, so great for creating ethereal elven figures (very tall and slim).
Hmm... I'll have to look out for that product when it comes out on sale then. I've personally been using Nivine 6 plus some other products to get my 'elven' features...

Teen Josie 7Yeah, I'm not sure why they have to have their own UVs. Doesn't make much sense to me.
Actually, for teen and younger characters, having their own UV maps makes perfect sense to me. If you create a 'young' morph with an adult character, you end up with quite a bit of distortion, especially in the chest area. By creating a custom UV set, you avoid that problem.
Really? Huh, I've seen some pretty extreme morphs with the base UV set. *shurg*

Is it possible to modify the HD morphs in RawArt's Massive Morph products?Note: This same question applies to the MASSIVE Morphs for Genesis 3 Female, Genesis 2 Female, and Genesis 2 Male figures as well.
I have been using MASSIVE Morphs for Genesis 3 Male(s) on G3M figure and I noticed that when I dial Raw_G3MMassive-HD or Raw_G3MMassiveX-HD to 100%, every part of the G3M figure becomes aesthetically defined in a muscular sense. I know that this is the normal behavior of these HD morphs, and I am happy with that.
It's just that I wish to know if it is possible to create a modified copy of these HD morphs that only alters the G3M figure from the neck down (make everything look ripped except the head, nose, and face). I ask of this, because, sometimes I don't want these HD morphs to make the figure's head and nose look crinkley.
Teen Josie 7I used her skin on a Victoria 7 morph in this image; in case you were wondering how it could look.
Oh that's quite lovely!

How to avoid the collision control ?Thank you for the help.
Take as example a sock Richard. Or very adjusted boots. Those figures follow the morph/weight/pose to mantain the surface over the skin. Whithout offset.
No problem with the colisions. These socks/boots are transparent and are only the support for the attachments. For example straps around the legs as support for other objects.
But fitting, the offset appears and the straps seems to be "in the air" and not touching the skin.
The case of use the whole figure... well, is easier to add these straps objects over the cloned figure instead to create boots as support. And probably in the future I could like to add more attachments. Then you have the whole anatomy.
About not use the GeoGraft, Pete shows me how to create the shell. But I can't export the shell to Hexagon to add him the attachments. DAZ shows an error crashing, and Hexagon is launched without objects opened. This not happens using props/figures.

Transfering morphsYou can use the Transfer Utility - there's a long thread on that - or you can use Genesis Generation X2
is victoria 4.2?Power Loader doesn't let you set a location - it lists all the ExP morphs in a single Runtime and allows you to choose which to load, by set or - if they have metadata - by morph. Yes, it still works in the latest version of DS.
Taylor Swift WIPSo Im a huge swiftie and decided to see if I could find a morph of her face and If I did find one try to create an image or two of her. Well I found a morph and here is my first test image. What does everyone think?
How to avoid the collision control ?Hi Richard.
I thinked that the transfer was the easy way to conform the overcoated figure over the skin. And it is. But the problem is to reduce to 0 the offset. The Pete's way is very good. But I can't to add the attachments to that shell having an error exporting to Hexagon this.
I tried to use days ago the geometry editor to add the attachments only over a selected surface of the skin. But the morphs used in the character take the attachments ago from their place.
As you help me yesterday, I use the ZERO and unparented main character to fit my prop/figure. And goes right. But is not the case of the Geometry Editor for only a region. The attachments goes away from the point.
I could use the Push Modifer, but I am wondering if will be needed to be tunning the adjust of the attachments to the skin in each pose and morph of main character.
I believe to remember that in older props, ( wear ) appeared the offset distance in a dial in the properties. But I don't know if this can help and how.
Sorry if all this is conffuse but maybe is like I am now.

How to avoid the collision control ?Geoshell ? I don't know so much Pete.
Is a Genesis exported to Hexagon. There converted in transparent and charged with the attachments. And then exported to DAZ. There I used the Transfer Utility to fit and parent to the original Genesis 1.
Sorry... I said "security distance" as you better say "offset". Well, the distance between the skin and the fitted surface to avoid collisions.
As the clone is transparent, there is no problem if there are collisions or a not full overcoat.

Help needed with Dformers....OK - update:
Starting back from the G3F where I had Dformed in DS and removed the unnecessary surfaces; I can apply HD morphs to this figure and DS does not crash.
I then removed the unused bones from the figure and resaved to the asset library (with another name) and there is no strange geometry flying around whilst applying any morphs.
So far, so good.
To and back from Zbrush, 1st "refinement morph" saved - everything still works!
Closed Zbrush, closed DS and reopened - opened saved G3F Centaur figure - all still works!
Looks like I'm good to go.
Now I need to learn some Zbrush so I can shape G3F's hip region properly..............
Teen Josie 7Yeah, as jakiblue said she has her own maps but it's entirely possible to use any map at all on her (making you wonder why they bother..) or changing any other Genesis 3 female to use Josie's maps. She's also one of the few characters that does actually morph the body a fair bit so she's one I actually use a lot, personally.
Help needed with Dformers...."Based on the description, it sounds like the weight maps or skeleton got messed up somewhere along the way. Can you verify the bones are in the correct place? If they are, then it's likely some weight maps got unassigned."
To be honest, I put the figure through so much experimentation, I may need to start again from scratch using what I have learnt thus far and see what happens then.
It may also be why HD morphs are causing DS to crash; when someone with Richard's knowledge thinks it may be a bug and didn't expect it to happen, I may indeed have done something that is causing this.
I may just do a very basic ZB morph and see what happens then; the HD morphs causing crashes is a major issue for this process as not every character is labelled as "HD" in the program, so DS has been crashing fairly often - so I think that is what I will attack first................
Thanks for the help guys - I will report back once I know more................
Post Your Renders - Happy New Year yallYup... I think I'm overdoing the brightness of the iris glare and perhaps using too mu refraction on the cornea. I'll tweak that. I'm also not finished shaping the character or tweaking the shaders - I have very little time in the building of this character so far. But I really like it. V4 animates really nice (my opinion) and I have a LOT of expression morph dials (Morphs++, Facial Expressions for V4 pack, Girl 4 (lots of expressions!) Reby Sky and Aiko 4 - but I don't use those on Rosie or Dart) - which are super-convenient for animating expressions. Reby's are really quite natural and subtle, while Girl 4 is exaggerated. I really like the Facial Expressions for V4. I don't think I could live without Morphs++
how to use genx 2I just purchased the genx 2 tool for daz to transfer morphs between Genesis characters, now upon reading the pdf manual its saying go under transfer then select source. Well I dont have a source button, everything else is there but that. I've included a screenshot. Is there an updated manual or something.
Transferring Sam and Sadie face shapes to Genesis/Genesis 2/Genesis 3Is there like a easy way to transfer the Sam & Sadie face shapes to the G/G2/G3 lines of characters other than export to Poser and use the morph brush? I guess it would make good practice to do that.
Transfering morphsIs there any way that I can transfer genesis morphs to gen 2 or 3 or vise versa, I have all these good presets but cant use them on gen 2 or gen 3 and vise versa. They really need to make a figure that you can use all your old stuff on and the new stuff that will come out. Thats the only reason why I stopped getting stuff becuase I relized they are just going to come out with a new figure and everything I just bought wont work on the new figure.
