Where does the morph save?
Problems using GenX2I do own both Genesis 2 and Genesis 3. It will not allow me to drag and drop.
Everyone owns Genesis 2 and 3, as they come for free, I was refering to the older base shapes, ie V4, M4 etc that are not free. What do you mean by "It will not allow me to drag and drop". To transfer shapes using Gen X you do not need to drag and drop at all, just select the source, and target, and then optionally apply a Pose to the source to inject a character (this is normally only need for the older, ie pre Genesis shapes). After that select the morphs you want to transfer and click "Transfer". Over at the PA Commercial Products forum you will find a thread dedicated to this product, and you might want to try posting to this to seek assistance, since the developer of the plug-in is watching this thread, as well as other long time users of it.
CONTENT wishes for 2017Since a lot of people have put an updated baby on the list of wishes for 2017, I'm working on a G3F morph in an ATTEMPT at making a baby. It's ...interesting. lol I'm thinking I might have to get the "growing up" products to make it work fully. However I'm going to try it with straight up G3F along with the standard body and face morphs.PM me and we can talk about it...I could have used G2F or M for my baby, but chose Genesis for a reason.
That sounds good. I could use some help. I'm having real trouble with the leg bends. Here's my efforts so far:

CONTENT wishes for 2017Kendall has really gotten my attention with his teasers, so I'm looking forward what he has cooking. A full weather system or something, I'm not quite sure anymore, but it's good to keep expections high
Also LAMH to be able handle Iray without changing it to obj first, and it's in my shopping cart immediately. If/when that happens, I hope lots of new hair products that use that.I think ( hope ) that I have enough G3 characters/clothes already, so this year I'm more interested in utilities like Ultimate Natural Bends, pretty much anything Zev0 offers, UltraScatter and stuff like that. Also Ghost lights was a really positive surprise, so anything that makes my current library better and I'm interested.
If PAs need ideas here goes:
- I'd like to have a product that would make clothes/hair wet ( preferably different levels of wetness, from wet t-shirt contest to minor splashes ).
- Some universal hair morph kit like Fit Control is for clothes would be really cool
- I hope Kendall's (whatever it will be ) product takes care of all the cloth simulations, but if not, then something designed for DS. I already have VWD, but it's quite unstable and crashes a lot, and anything bigger needs decimator etc. so something more stable please.
- Also if there's a nice water simulation just waiting for release, I'd really love to make waterfalls, beaches and stuff like that. Blender already has a water simulation, but it's so slow that almost anything is better.
PS: If G4 gets released this year, it has to be pretty spectacular, or support G3 line products, before I'm interested.

virtual penny 4 yor carrara thoughts ?thanks
sippssing my last guiness draft til after the snow. got the capt, luksusowai'se actually using the dson editor from store to del the whole branch, but checked the notepad way, is doable if curly braces dont give ya the heebies lol
decided a girl reptilian would wave tail differently from a male
DSON Editor... Ahhhh... I thought it looked like an editor-like interface shot - what, with the lines and all! I'll have to get that thing.
I have some stuff from RawArt for Genesis that could really benefit from that workaround.
I have that Demon he made for Genesis 1, and I'm thinking of trying to make a morph of just the demon's teeth, so that I can dial them back - or even off. They're too... hmmm... conical and perfect or something? I was hoping that they had a separate morph dial, but they don't.
I'm fairly certain that I can achieve this - it's just a matter of getting to it.
Wookie Weapons! :)
Multiple issues with Overknee boots for G2I suspect there's a morph in there, though I may be wrong. In any event, I'm not sure how fixable it is.
Should I upgrade to 4.9 if I use Poser? Thanks, I don't seem to still have the 4.8 install software, my computer doesn't have a lot of hard drive space so I am constantly deleting whatever seems non-essential so if I upgrade there's probably no going back, is why I asked before doing it. Install Manager says I have already installed 4.9 but when I open the program it says it is 4.8. The content library issues sound really annoying, like it will make something that's already annoying even worse. Don't want to trash the software but the #1 reason why I only use it for stuff that can't be done in Poser is because it makes me feel like the program is in charge instead of me. It hides my content and decides what I can see when and does a lot of seemingly random things that I don't know how to fix. I guess you can learn to configure Smart Content but I don't want the program to try to guess what I'm looking for, it can't, I want to go into the folder where I put it and get it myself. Making the content library even less user-accessible is not ok.
Now I am having a problem with DSON importer, a certain figure's lower jaw loads outside of his head, so I thought I was going to uninstall and re-install the importer to see if it fixes it but the Install Manager says that I haven't downloaded the importer at all but obviously I have or I wouldn't be able to get the figure into Poser, so when I try to download and install it it says it can't find the path for Poser 11 even though the path is clearly defined and correct in the applications list. I know how to download and install stuff. Everything that is frustrating seems to go back to that same idea of the software wanting to take everything out of my hands. It always makes it harder instead of easier. Sorry for the rant, but hopefully it clarifies my mistrust of "improvements." I'm going to wait it out for now.To say something positive: I've been opening the program a lot more lately because I keep discovering new features of it that I really like. I particularly appreciate all the cross-figure transfer utilities. There's obviously a lot of good stuff in there that I haven't even found yet, so I'm motivated to start tolerating its quirks.

Looks good
Coming Soon SpartechOps [Commercial]@Fastbike - Thanks for showing that nifty transfer method!
To all - Glad you all are having fun with the products!
DAZ taking "forever" to open a saved sceneWell that might be cause of have to load a boat load of morph & other settings, I know have many, many morphs & character seettings as part of G3F & G3M with the multple DAZ and 3DU characters I have added over the past 2 months & have noticed a longer time loaded a scene but it's more like a minute longer to load a scene, not 2 hours & more.
It still sounds to me as if you have a sector problem but if the SW diagnostics say you don't then well you don't probably.
Is your old data saved on one HD and your new G2 & G3 data saved on another HD? Look for clues like that. And try Very Sleepy to see what DAZ is doing for 2 hours!?
poor wedgiest wedgies ever promosHow about "Boobifaction"?
Fit control has worked for me, as has SY's fix for G2F.
Well, it went to testing status today without a request for a name change. Coming soon to the Daz market: SY Decrackifier. XD
Now we just need a good universal one for shirts to not cling-wrap the bosoms, and we'd actually have realistic clothing!
(yes, I've tried a lot of the 'fit' morphs for that area, and they never work right.....)
Now in progress, SY Universal Breast Helper G1G2G3. Not that Fit Control and Wear Them All don't work fine, mind you, but what the heck, let's have a specialty tool.
not deboobifier?
But that sounds like I'm removing the boobs!
For now I'm sticking with Universal Breast Helper, lol. Renaming every morph would be too much of a pain. It's done except for rendering and docs. I'm planning to link a video tutorial from the product page for if anyone gets confused.
Genesis 3 skeletonI used the transfer utility to fit the V4 and M4 skeletons to G3F and G3M. The clavicles, skull and shoulder blades need some pre-adjustment, and the mandibles tend to stick through the gums, but they work fine as a rule. I've used them as SSS blockers on some renders.

"Supposedly if you use a similar style dress on G3 that is meant for G3 and then autofit the older item to the dress instead of G3, then hide the dress, it will work better. I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly it works. I read somewhere in the forums that the Merry May dress works well for that..."
I've had good luck using this technique with the Supersuit amd the MFD. The Genesis 2 & 3 versions of the latter have some morph sets that match the basic morphs that come with G2F & G3F. http://www.daz3d.com/matching-morphs-for-mfd-for-genesis-2-females http://www.daz3d.com/mfd-matching-morphs-fashion-model
This bodysuit has a ton of useful morphs: http://www.daz3d.com/ultra-bodysuit-for-genesis-2-female-s I've had good results fitting it to G3F.
V4 Pose Converter for Genesis 1 & Genesis 2 Female (Commercial)I was going to say how did I miss this as I do not see it in the store, but once I unclicked hide items I own I found it. I was looking for something like this but I had it all along. I will play with it tonight if I can.
Oh will there be a V3 to Genesis ? or V4 to genesis 3 pose converter?
One already actually exists and used to be sold by DAZ, but the PA, cridgit, moved to Rendo a long time ago so it's available there now. It's called Posemaster for DAZ Studio, and it comes in two parts: the base version comes with presets to converts in both directions between V4 & M4 to Genesis as well as MIl Horse to Mil dog (!) and can be user configured to convert between other figures. For ease of use with V3, there's the add-on PoseMaster People Pack that includes transfer presets for all of the Generation 2, 3 and 4 characters to Genesis, V4 and M4. Now that I''m thinking about it, I really need to pull it out and see about converting all my old DAZ horse one poses to Horse 2...
Problems using GenX2In order to use Gen X to transfer morphs from non-Genesis figures you have to own the base of those figures, not just the Gen X plug in. For example to move a morph from V4, V4 base must be installed. As Grinch says, you then click source and navigate to the V4 CR2 and select this. I generally select a fully loaded V4 CR2, ie one with all the V4++ morphs etc already injected.
Llynara's Loony Bin (WIP Thread)Yeah, I was looking for backwards pose conversion yesterday, fruitlessly. I figured in general it is easier to convert something more primitive to work with something more advanced, and more difficult to convert something more advanced to work with something more primative - if you followed that.
So, Going from V4 to Gen 1 to Gen 3 to Gen 3 is easier than going from Gen 3 to Gen 2, Gen 1 or V4, for example. (And whoever decided to name the generation 3 and later figures "genesis"... thanks for the confusion that causes when you start abbreviating both"Generation" and "Genesis" to "Gens"... which also happens to be the abbreviation that gets used for "genitals".)
The document I link above specifically addresses transfer of V3 and M4 through Gen X... and even touches on A3 and other legacy characters.
Kids 4 clothing on Genesis 3Using Generation X, transfer any K4 morph to Genesis 3, and this will create a K4 shape for you. You should see the morph under Actor/Generation X/*** People ***
Creating a clone from a morph has been documented in a number of places, but I will repeat the steps here:
1) Change G3F to base resolution and morph her to K4 using the morph created by GenX
2) Export G3F as an obj, saving the file as Kids 4.
3) Import the obj file using Morph Loader Pro
4) Locate the loaded morph under Parameters/Morphs/Morph Loader.
5) Click the small settings icon on Kids 4, and select Parameter Settings. In the pop-up box, type should be Modifier/Shape, change this to Modifier/Clone
6) Save the Kids 4 morph under Morph Loader using Save As->Support Assets->Morph Asset(s) (do not save as a Clone Asset).
Now any newly loaded G3F figure should have a K4 clone.
Wow, thanks for this! I still haven't even tried GenX although I own it and all the add-ons. I don't think there's a V2/M2 add-on though. Is there a way to do a clone for them without GenX? And is there a way to create a clone for a figure like Cookie to use G1/2/3/V4 clothes??? Thanks.
