Eyes reversed
I have a few Genesis 8 characters, including some I've custom made, where the eyes seem to be moving upside down. When I move the "Eye Look Up-Down" slider in the positive direction, the eyeballs roll down, but the lids react as though they had rolled up. The same happens if I manually adjust the X rotation of the bone; positive moves down, instead of up as for regular characters.
Anybody have any idea how to fix this?
I found this thread, but no answer was ever posted. https://forum.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2526541/

So, when you sign up for Google "AdSense", apparently it lets you select certain categories of ads you don't want to show on your site; presumably because you don't want to promote a competitor's site. So it could be that DAZ chose to exclude all CG ads when they signed up for AdSense because that would promote competing websites. That would cause people to see every kind of advertisement except those related to computer graphics, the one type of ad that would have been relevant to people on this forum.
While Daz has, I believe, used this feature to try to block offensive content they clearly haven't blocked all CG companies - someone up-thread had an ad for Cinema 4D.
I got it too once

That's good to hear, as far as Daz is concerned. However, I do not give my consent to be tracked by Google as soon as I visit the Daz forum and/or the Gallery. So far, I cannot see any dialogue in which I am given this choice, which is required by EU law.
It would be a Google setting not a Daz seting, of course, since Daz has no control over Google.

I took a few screen snaps of the ads on the gallery page, interesting selection, though because there are three of them, top, and bottom, and right side ads they feel the most jarring, taking attention away from the artwork. Not that anyone will ever click on them, nor leave any kind of impression.
People do click on ads, if they did not, every free site would have shut down long ago without a revenue stream. My company makes most of it revenue through advertising, though in our case the bulk of that is ads in mobile apps, rather than on our website. Ad revenue is measured in something called ecpm, normally the amount of revenue made for every 1000 times the ad is shown on someone's screen. The ecpm varies alot depending on the content, the country it is displayed in and many other factors. For a website a typical value is $1-5 of ecpm. I have no idea how many 1000s of hits the daz forums and gallery get each day, but I would guess it is a lot less than the store. That said DAZ is global company so would get a lot of hits. I would have thought this revenue was a lot less than what they make from the store sales, but we can only guess. However I would expect them to at least make enough to cover the costs of the forum and gallery.
I know a lot of people hate ads, and dislike it when sites stop you using ad blockers, but they have costs to cover and advertising is the best way to help cover them. A lot of news sites offer a subscription service to access their content, but generally very few do subscribe, and for the smaller sites in particular, subscription will not generate enough income. Advertising is the reason a lot of the content we enjoy sits on the web today, and if that is blocked, that content will quickly vanish.
...those adverts don't get any clicks from me as I have both no interest in/need for, and for the most part cannot afford what they are selling. I'd rather give a fiver to an independent site that asks for donations now and then. Big name newsmedia sites with "paywalls".are also out.
The story of Gnosha CurosineiGnosha and his friends walk deeper into the tavern in search after some adventurers, and he steps up onto a stool and says in a loud voice: - “Lads and lasses, I’m looking for a group traveling Eastward, that have space for one more passenger, or a group that are willing to escort a man in that direction.”
Aered and Thefvae see some reactions from a table in the corner, where a group is talking to what looks like a merchant, and informs Gnosha. The merchant walks over to Gnosha and says: - “Sir, my name is Taragai, a merchant with a caravan heading in that direction, and I can take a passenger. I have just negotiated with a group of adventurers for my protection. Do you want to ride with us? The price is just ten pieces of gold.” Gnosha replies: - “Sir, my name is Gnosha Curosinei, and I am just here to ensure the traveler will find sufficient protection at a fair price. The traveler is Mr Danso here beside me. I say for ten pieces of gold, I could hire my own caravan escort, but don’t let this opportunity pass us. Let me meet the crew you have hired, and I will tell you what I think is a fair price.” Mr Taragai looks at Gnosha and replies: - “Very well sir, I see you are a tough one to bargain with, come one, meet the escort and see for yourself.”
Mr Taragai calls for the crew at the table, to come and meet another person that is looking for an escort east. Gnosha scrutinizes the group of four quite odd adventurers. He looks at them one by one. First, there is a Goblin female, dressed in red clothes, and Gnosha thinks to himself, a sorcerer of some sort, she introduces herself as Ignis. Secondly, a very tall person, a Gnoll, dressed in scale mail armor, carrying a large sword. He looks like someone who can fight and hold his ground, he introduces himself as Krarrgork Skogsbuske. Ghosha sees some symbols of the god Uvuko, which is a popular god among the tribal worshippers in the world. Krarrgork might even be a Paladin Gnosha thinks, just like Aered. The third person is of the cat folks, dressed in leather armor, with daggers visible here and there. Gnosha thinks, a rogue, and the person introduces itself as Gato Felis. And last, a man dressed in nice clothes, with a puppet on his arm. The puppet says: -”Hi Gnosha, I’m Karl Magnus, you are almost as short as I am!” and then laughs a frantic laugh. The person is a ventriloquist and probably a bard Ghosha thinks. After the brief introduction, the group of adventurers return to their table.
Gnosha now looks at Mr Taragai again, and says: - “Mr Taragai, that is a quite interesting group you have hired, they look capable to me.” After a short haggle between the two, the price of five pieces of gold is set, and Mr Danso joins the group at the table, and introduces himself, and pays the fee. Gnosha says: -”I'm so sorry we have to leave you so soon but we have some urgent business to attend to. Safe travels and we might meet again.” Gosha, Aered and Thefvae double back to the Castle, they are really in a hurry now.

I would bet a nickel that the clothing in that character's promos was made custom for her and is not conforming. For an approximation, you might like one of these two polo dresses, though neither of them have a pleated skirt.
These also are really nice, thanks for the suggestion!
I've been trying a few more times to find the dress online via the image search, but all I get are real-life clothes. Does anyone know whether Cinnabar is approachable via the forums? I'd really like to have that dress, even if it's not conforming. I'd be fine with dForcing it.
Confused about Daz TokensThaks for all the info, everyone. The problem I have now I tried at another forum. Need to check if I'm right about it. The problem isn't a technical one, or a glitch, it's lack of information. Several items you can buy 'assumes' you know how to do it. The last two items I bought left out a crucial detail about locations and how to find destination. The P.A. assumes you have the exact setup as he/she has. Plus, they assume you have a degree in program, ing. All this gets frustgration when trying to work with a new product and have no degree.
Thanks again, all, for clarifying it.Gallery Ads/PopupsLove the double banners, nice touch. Top, bottom of forum and then same ad at bottom again under the same ad (double banners). Never shopping at Etsy or TEMU, don't click ads, on any site, don't or try not to support Google, not installing apps or plugins to circumvent the same results I had previously.
Not a Daz customer any longer, even though I have full time employment and disposable income. My last pucheses were in 9/2022 and I think Xmas 2023 for the horse 3 blah. Certainly do not need any more young Asian school girls, like 900 in the store now.
galleries are kinda a joke anyway. Beefcake Jesus on a cross in toon? Really what cause its cel shaded? Blah.
beter things to do with my time, effort and money. Good luck Daz, been real but no longer fun.
Confused about Daz TokensWhen you have a question about a particular product, it is a good idea to look in the Daz PA Commercial Products forum category, to see if the PA has created a support thread for the product. Not all PAs do that and not all PAs participate in helping customers to the same level. Some that provide outstanding forum support in their commercial threads are RiverSoftArt and Zev0. Posting in those threads will also attract the attention of and help from experienced users of the products.
Need help with RSSY Clothing Converter Gen 8 to Gen 9 add-on.The PA has a specific forum thread for this product where he often offers help for questions like this. You might even find your question already asked and answered in that thread. I don't own the product, so I can't offer specific help. I do know that some footwear is difficult to convert between generations. Some work a lot better than others.

Yeah, I believe it Richard. I'm talking about something for Daz Studio and you say it's not for Daz Studio. Okay, break it down for me for future reference. Where do I post a question about a product/program I purchased on Daz Studio? I have a problem now with something I recently purchased but want to make sure I post it where it needs to go.

I would not advise Daz to pass on any user data to Google without the user's consent. At least not the data of EU citizens.
As I understand the system they don't - any tracking, and the ad selection within cionstraints set by Daz, is done by Google.
This and the other official responses so far sound like you're saying you are voluntarily leaving a door wide open for a third party to pull whatever they want, and that you have no control over it. And that Daz as a company neither empathizes nore cares. How is that supposed to ease that worry?
How do you derive that? They hav access only to their own little area of the page, they do not havea ccess to anything else 9and of coruse the ads do not appear in your account area or the shop anyway). They can, if not blocked, recognise you on another page you visit that has one of their ads, but that is only "Oh, number 2745235237854623484537 again" - it doesn't get your username here or on the other site(s), nor any other personal info.
Multiple times yesterday and likely the day before, the forum ads were displaying a restaurant specifically in my town (and had the address to go visit it.) So location data.
Lee
Yes, because you allow Google to collect location data (or it used your IP addess) - not because Daz passed your location over.
IP address likely. DAZ allowed the ads to be on the site which passed the location over. Semantics.

Right. Sounds like a good idea. In the meantime you could probably find some script that shows/hides all camera.
Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to find a similar script that could easily modify to toggle the camera visibility, so I could turn them all back to visible On.
In doing that search, it also occurred to me that if BJ Camera Manager Hide Cameras set Visible in Viewport to Off instead of Visible to Off, that would probably also solve my initial problem. If I understand correctly, your goal was to prevent the camera wireframes from appearing in the viewport as scene clutter. Visible in Viewport would achieve that, while leaving the overall Visible "On" for Render Queue 3 to recognize for rendering the scene from the visible camera(s).
This is just something to consider if there is a future update. Either option, Hide Cameras toggle or using Visible in Viewport, would make me happy, but with the script I modified, I'm good for now. BJ Camera Manager is a helpful plugin.
