Millenium Dog Bundle
You could use Blender to send the dog over and morph, then use GIMP to create some textures. A collie would be a challanging project because of the long hair. I would talk to the creator of Look at my hair and see if it is possible with this Plugin >>>http://www.daz3d.com/look-at-my-hair
Saving morph for selling characterAm I allowed to share such a morph or receive such a morph from someone in the user community? (not as a commercial sale or marketed as such), and if so, will they have to own the exact same product license characters n order to see the same face morph I created them from ? ...or can I simply save the resulting morph mix for the base G3 and expect it can be viewed by someone who only has G3? thxs

Saving morph for selling charactertaemimum - Go to the main File dropdown menu and scroll down to Save As. Depending on what you're trying to do, you need to scroll down to Support Asset, click on it and then scroll over to Morph Asset and click on it. You will then have the option to select the morphs you've made for your character. Make sure to only click the morphs you've made, because otherwise it will include ALL the other morphs that are currently loaded (but not necessarily active) in your figure. Then you'll need to go back to the File drop down menu Save As but this time save Character. This will save your character as a unit (not just the morph parts). To make your character a product, it has to have both a character file and the associated morphs will need to be in your base figure's data folder.
bsheers2003 - you'll just need to save your character doing this last step. File/Save As/Character. It will activate those morphs you used from Karen 7, Aiko 6 and Teen Josie, so those will show up in the Shape tab. But at least you won't have to recreate your character from scratch every time you want to use her.
Stereotypical Japanese Twintail hairstyleHi daywalker,
Thanks for the link. I decided not to get that hair set due to the funky curly tails. I'm really looking for tails with straight hair, though a bit of curl or wave is not a bad thing especially if it can be dialed in/out as a morph. In the Josie tails, the curl is definitely a main part of the style; great for some but not what I'm looking for. :)
Oomu, in my first post I didn't say anything about which figure version the hair should be for as in principle it should not matter too much for me as I usually just parent the hair to the head rather than conform. However you are right, in general newer versions (eg made for G3f) have improved geometry, more morphs, better textures etc. I do use g3f most often because it has the best joints and so gives the best poses (IMO). In practice I usually find that conforming the hair piece causes problems if the head size or shape is not exactly g3f standard. Sometimes vendors go to a lot of effort to make fit morphs for all sorts of different standard head shapes. To be honest I'd rather that they put "head adjustment" morphs on the hair instead. It seems my characters often have non-standard shaped/sized heads lol.
You know, I'm still waiting for a g3f version of Penny hair by Lady Littlefox. That is a really fun hair style, but it's showing it's age :)
The Doctor Appreciation threadOoh love that Tom Baker! Did you model that Bill?If you mean the morph, alas, no. A person with the user-name Werts started to offer a series of celebrity based morphsat ShareCG for Michael and Victoria 4. Tom Bajer's likeness was one of those offered. Sadly, one day, the offerings "vanished", by that point, several pages worth, along with Werts' account. When asked about his or her whereabouts, nobody has a clue. And when publicly asked if a morph can be shared, D*Z is quick to step in and note that unless the "read-me" file explicitly permits redistribution, they can't. Frustratingly, the "read me" file only provides the installation instructions, nothing about sharing.
Sincerely,
Bill
Shoot, I think I missed the Tom Baker one. I transferred a bunch over to Genesis 2 Male and mix in a little Clint Eastwood or John Wayne with many of my male characters but I'd love a good Tom Baker!
Post Your Renders like it's the year 2020!!!You can obviously save the scene, but you can also either drag the whole dog (including the hair) into your object tray, ready for re-use, or even just drag the hair into the object tray, ready to re-apply to the dog as and when required. Note that it will only really work with that dog (or any model that shares the same polygon construction, so if the dog is a morph of a more general dog, it will work with that).

Saving morph for selling characterrelated to this thread. if I create a head morph from a mix of several G3 product characters like Karen 7, Aiko 6, and Teen Josie, can I then just save it as a new character or preset for just G3 without having to bring the others up? (I have no intention of selling it, by the way. am not a vendor. just wanting easier access for personal use. ) thxs
Is it just me , or ...It's a vibe I'm getting too, but this stuff mostly seems to arrive together; so it will likely shift to something else, but folks make what sells; one does see othe stuff, and there is still a variety (within Daz's demographic) being produced and released; and folks like to explore their darker side - art in general and not just fantasy and horror is the best place for that. There must be a release I suppose.
I've saved loads recently with all these horror items. I don't want them, so I don't spend!
And there's that, I have less need for it.Well, angels, wise-personages etc don't need a new G3F/M-7 character - they can be done with any of the regular characters plus wings and robes. There are enough wings in the store - it's the robes that are less easy for G3F/M - but a retexture of sorceress might work for an angel... The monsters need a special morph/skin, the good-guys tend to look like idealised versions of us.I prefer stories that challenge our (or at least my) perceptions.
The bad guys look attractive; the good guys, are what fill one's nightmares - their appearance at least.
But personally, I don't like sterotypes; making it easy for me to spot the good and bad guys: what am I, 10?
Sure - but by that same token, you're covered with what's in store ;)
"Anneka girl-scout and Michael 7-sins"
Sure I can make them anything I want. And I do tend to do that.
I suppose what I 'object' to, is that they look like us, they must be good; they don't look like us, or are ugly, then they must be evil, bad or is some way, not nice.
It's a stereotype that we see everywhere, which is really strange, considering in the real world, all the monsters are human, some more attractive, and some not.

V4 Elleth HairWho is the model in the yellow swimsuit in the Faith hair promoHi, I know it's a morph of Star, she is really cute?SY Breast Helper vs Clothing Smoothers: Which wins the booby prize?Ok. So, in my never ending battle against auto-fit, I have purchased Wear Them All which comes with some cleavage fixers, Fit Control, and now SY Universal Breast Helpers Genesis, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 Female(s).For my first test I decided to try something a relatively challenging clothing item. I chose Dictator for Genesis because Gen1 clothing is the worst with autofit. I wanted to see what effect the morphs would have on a tie. I also used some breast morphs that are not standard genesis 3. Generally I think that it is a good basic morph package. I think that the "Breast Helper Midzone Delumpifier" is a really useful morph. I think a morph that would have moved the center height would have been helpful. Im going to try some more tests. If anyone wants me to try something specific, let me know. Right now im thinking that the sweet spot exists somewhere in a combination of morphs from Fit Control and SY Universal Breast Helpers.
Oh, yah. The breast morphs I used were gravity morphs so they arent really characteristic of how a bra fit would look. Doing that next.
Indie game license for RawArt and MortemVetus.I have also question.
Can mercant resources used in games if I make my own character/clothes with them (material and morph are baked) and do I have to put these characters also availeble in shop?
Notes:
I use different library folders for DAZ Original, DAZ PA, and mercant resources. I have two setting in content directory manager for 2D and 3D gamedev.
There is some problems with daz connect. Can I set there also two libraries?
Reptilian 6, Minotaur 6 and GenX'no success' meaning it won't transfer at all, or that you don't like the results?
Will's WIP threadI am! The hard thing about the morph import was that there's not much indication of what you did wrong. But finally figured out most of the weirdness.
For those 'at home':
Make sure the figure you modify was exported in Base Resolution. Make sure it STAYS in base resolution (IE: don't save it again with smoothing (In Carrara) and definitely don't tesselate/subdivide).
Make sure the figure you load the morph into is in Base Resolution.
(Those two are 80% of what I kept messing up)
Finally, when using Morph Loader Pro, change 'create control property' and 'reverse deformations' to Yes.
And that SHOULD do it.
Still not sure how to fix the eyes, though. Morph I made shifted the joint center of the eyes. Or, rather, failed to update the center. Not entirely sure how to fix that as a morph, though I could fix it on a single figure, which is probably what I'll do rather than saving the morph for use from every figure.
GenX2 Update / Genesis 3 Add-On [Commercial]Thanks for the information about the actor specific morphs. I've been a Poser user since version 4 and have a huge amount of content for V4 and M4 in my library (morphs and textures). After Poser Pro 2014, I switched to Daz Studio because of Genesis 3, as I use it in Cinema 4D and it is by far the best figure to use it there. So your tool is a lifesaver, as I can bring all my V4/M4 content to Cinema 4D via Genesis 3.
I still have to optimize my workflow, as I want to transfer all of my legacy assets and put them into a new library. I only have Daz Studio 4.8 with Genesis 3 installed and my V4/M4 libraries. After reading all this stuff here, I hope it will work easily, as I'm quite new to Daz Studio and hopefully find all the menu entries I need.

Thanks for providing this tool!

Please make better jeans/pants for menI don't have that many pair of jeans, so can't do any comparisons, but I think these are pretty good and easily my best pair of jeans: http://www.daz3d.com/chilled-out-outfit-for-genesis-3-male-s. Jeans don't have any open/movement morphs, but decent amount of fitting morphs to get them to fit for different characters. There's little strecthing in mesh and textures in extreme cases, but I don't blame the artist in this case
Jeans have 2 different materials for both 3Delight and Iray.Models are Michael 7 and George. Both have genital bulge morph dialed to 50-100%, nothing else.
Daz Cow Share and Learn ThreadOk, so I have been just working out all the possibilities or not with the original Daz cow. Of course, nothing that can be passed around and shared except the info. :(
I reassigned the shading domains in hexagon. That was an intersting endevor. I learned some more there. If I try to transfer the changes to daz it tries to make them into a morph which can not be saved yada, yada same story as above. I did go into daz and reassigned the polys using the geometry editor tool. That worked out ok, but can not be saved so it seems except as a scene only which is cool. :) The nose looks a bit funky because of how the polys are made so it is a bit jagged in areas. I did get the dew claws connected with the hooves and I made the pupil bigger by reassigning polys from the eyeball or I think it is called the iris on the cow. I have some pictures of my fun. I am thinking about making them some hair by creating a displacement map. It won't be fancy because of the uvmap, but at least the brown cow will not look too 'bald' as Fey called her. lol
