I got it with the Victoria 8.1 University Bundle. 

Why am I suddenly getting this message? No matter what I do, it keeps coming up. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but I'm still getting this error message. This is causing me to not have anything in my Content Library. I've even rebooted my computer and it's still doing it. It worked fine earlier today. I rendered a sample render of the new Victoria 8.1. Could she have done this to me?

Bingo, they messed up big time using an exising name... never understood the relience on names anyway... Victorial 8.1 should've had her own name with no connections and no expectations!

Thank you very much! I tried them on Victoria 8.1 last night and there's kind of a cool effect where if you look close you can see her eye details behind the glow.

Oof. That is a hard blow. Skin manager is SOOOOOOOOOO useful for tweaking the shaders.

I just installed the new Genesis 8.1 updates along with Victoria 8.1 and a few add on products.  Neither Genesis 8.1 Female nor Victoria 8.1 is showing up in my library.  Any ideas why?

Gotta tell you I am loving Gen 8.1 and Victoria 8.1.  My foot morphs work and super happy on that.  Love her details and skin shader looks real nice.  Hats off and great job to the DAZ team!

I do like how the eyelids react to rotation of the eyeballs, G8F and G3F did not always do this very well. I was able to use Look at Me (unchecking Adjust Eyelids) with G8.1F to make the eyeballs turn towards the camera, and then the eyelids adjusted appropriately on their own. Some other GF8 products refuse to recognize G8.1F as G8F, though, like Fit Control. It refuses to run and tells me to select a Genesis 8 Female when GF8.1 is selected.

The controls are with Genesis 8.1 in the anatomy section (but often crash when I use them, so perhaps be careful). 

If you own a pro bundle (i'd assume you'd need to own a pro bundle with the male anatomy) a version of the male anatomy appears in the female anatomy section.

I don't seem to be able to find any vellus/body hairs, so those might be Victoria 8.1/figure addons. 

Hmm, I don't have anything new in the Anatomy section except the 8.1 Female Eyelashes and 8.1 Female Tear attachments. Nothing related to face control in the anatomy section of Smart Content either with G8.1F selected.

For me it's called  "Genesis 8.1 Female Face Controls" and is part of the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials (it just has a shiny grey head as the icon). You could try reinstalling the starter essentials or updating metadata or searching in the content library/lost and found. Why is it never simple.  

Found it! For those in the same boat, it's under the "Genesis 8 Female/Developer Kit" folder in Content Library. Which is a strange choice.

As for functionality, a few things moved but occasionally it causes Daz Studio to crash.

Nope. Same mesh. Same shape. Same skin basically. You should notice that 8.1 has a second mat zone for the Torso area-- now it's Body & Head. Also, the mouth realism is amazingly improved. The expression system is also different and improved. There is a new eyelash mesh and a separate tear mesh that both step up the realism overall. The tear in particular does amazing things to the eyes in renders. There are new UVs available to use as well and are a little different on the face, neck and torso. Also the new eye UV is unified so there is no gap between the pupil and iris or the iris and sclera. The new shader that is available isn't used on G8.1 but is on Victoria 8.1 and will likely continue to be used moving forward. It was designed specifically for skin to be more in line with standard PBR shaders (as I recall).

Wow, nice. Thank you for posting this, useful info. Iris geometry and iris sclera UV bothered me endlessly so I went along and re-did them once I exported G8 out of DAZ. I modelled a new year mesh along with it. It's good to see the new figure addresses all these points. So basically I can just import a clean G8.1 and put my morph on it. Yepp ;)

Well I'm going to buy Victoria 8.1 but It's a bit offputting because one would think the basics should have the basics.

a) Base Genesis 8.1 Female should have eyebrow-less texture with fibre eyebrows.

b) Base Genesis 8.1 Female should have vellum hair

c) Base Genesis 8.1 Female should have fully realized skin materials set as Victoria 8.1 has.

d) Even though Base Genesis 8.1 Female won't have the Genesis 8.1 Female Anatomical Elements it should have the skin materials for that item and I guess now that the Genisis 8.1 Male Anatomical Elements are compatible with the Base Genesis 8.1 Female a skin material set should be included for that as well. Is this because they are free and so not behind a pay wall that verifies the payer is adult? Plenty of kids have bank accounts and credit cards with more money than I got. 

And likewise for the Base Genesis 8.1 Male character relative to Michael 8.1.

So I'll buy the Victoria 8.1 because I happen to like her & her tatoos, my new paid favorite excluding toon characters, but the missing vellum/body hair, missing fibre eyebrows, and incomplete skin materials in the Base Genesis 8.1 Female is problematic. The Base Genesis 8/8.1 Female and Base Genesis 8/8.1 Male are amounting to the best Genesis 8/8.1 characters available.

I quite like the update and the new version of Victoria. It is easy to use any of the 8.0 characters and clothing. They just work. One can also convert everything to the new SkinPBR shader with a little bit of map moving and adjusting. Here is one of my favorite G8F characters (a modiffied version of Sangiart's Emmeline) loaded onto G8.1 and Skinshader switched to the new one.

Here's my take; the right is PBRSkin only on the skin (IE: not eyes, teeth, horns), mostly using settings from Victoria 8.1 skin. I had to darken translucency color a little and lower dual lobe weight, but otherwise fairly straightforward. I could also have played with microtexture more, and it really gives me ideas for things to experiment with in other skins.

Usually for items to be showing at a % off, they need to be in the cart at the same time. I don't see this ad though to which you are referring. There's a jungle of ads though, maybe I missed it.
