What's the liklihood of getting this to work? (technical questions about hair)
Does the hair have morphs you need to transfer over? If not, maybe you can just export it as an OBJ and then import it into Poser and possition it manually?
Also, while it requires a little more work in DS, it may be possible to autofit it to G2M in DS, then save the autofit hair as a .duf and then use *that* .duf to bring it into Poser through DSON.
I can walk you through it if you like.
Sorry. I forgot, I don't think you can go backwards with the default templates. (I bought the templates to go backwards, so I sometimes forget what does and doesn't come with DS default content.)
the hair does, indeed, have morphs I need to transfer over
Anastasia Outfit - Can you render the helmet without the horns?I see an expand morph for the horns; it might be possible to use that with a negative value to eliminate them. That doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.Geometry editor tool question.I'm trying to fix a screw up, and I need the geometry editor tool...
I was following a video on YouTube and he shows that by right clicking, you can edit the morph.
I don't have that when I right click. Where can I find that, activate that, turn it on or whatever? And I've checked in both 4.7 and 4.9. I don't have it in either one.
Kids 7I've said this once. I'll say it again.. Low sells on kids stuff has nothing to do with the fact that nobody buys it or likes to render child like figures. It has everything to do with the cheap, generic, toonish people.. When you stack a K4 next to a V4... They arnt compatable because the K4 is a hidious little monster, and unrealistic... and just straight creepy looking... it ruins the render... If a K4 was on the same level of quality as a V4.. sells would increase dramaticly.. When you half ass a product.. Expect half assed sells.
When you make a quick model and its cheap, cause you think it aint going to get sells... and then when it dont sell cause its so cheap.. and you go SEE low sells!!! I told you so!.. It's called a self fulfilling prophecy.
If you want serious sells... Take the work seriously...
Skylers sells is living proof that customers are more then willing to buy kids stuff if the art is taken seriously enough and not half baked, and slapped together... Nobody wants to buy junk... So yeah.. Duh.. Of course kids stuff is going to have bad sells.when 99% of it is very super generic and cheap,.. What did you expect? There isnt 1 single kid morph out there that if you place in a scene with a V4 -M4 or a G2 or G3 that dont look out of place... And you wonder why they dont sell well? Really?... They are so imcompatable with everything else out there... It dont take much to figure it out... Unless you are going to make a really super cartoony render... They have no use... And most people dont much care for toon3D. There you go.. Thats the sells issue solved... People dont have a prejudice towards buying kids stuff. They have a prejudice towards wasting their money, and rightfully so...
No the sells are not going to MATCH a V4... Of course not. It's silly to expect that... But that is very narrow to ignore a large chunk of the community of artists cause your so blood thirty for money... Not only is it a middle finger to a large chunk of the community, it also boils up from the ocean of greed. And greed has no respectable place in the world of art and narrow mindedness and prejudice is the counter-opposite of "art" and "artist".
Star Trek Builders Unite 7: The Continuing MissionWell this is what I was shooting for. FaceGen isn't great on the texture creation part so I had to create my own texture for the morph in the pictures.

Questions about GaribaldiEDIT - seems garibaldi is inactive so I guess the topic's closed :(
Hi, I have thoughts of buying Garibaldi for some hair renders. I'm generally very unfamiliar with the software and would be grateful if those with experience using it could help me out.
1) is it compatible with DAZ 4.9? The website says it's built for 4.5
2) does it work with V4? The materials listed say they are for Genesis with no mention of V4
3) does it allow modeling of tufts of hair? Like say you have a tuft or clump on your hand (after ripping hair out or something)
4) it seems to allow frizz modeling but is it possible to make individual strands stand out from the general clump? (Like on bad hair days the hair's in a mess with a few fine strands shooting out here and there)
5) after creating a hair, does it morph the same way as purchased hairs? (Going to 'neck' and finding all the movement and adjustment morphs there)
6) how long does rendering with 3Delight take? I saw someone write 10 hours..which is really too long.
7) apart from the software itself are there other materials that need to be purchased to model the hair?
Thanks!

The Growing Up apps are fantastic apps, but they don't replace having a base figure at or close to the age of a child, or preteen character. This would be quite obvious if anyone has tried to morph an already overly endowed female base figure to a preteen. Figures like the tweens can be morphed to passable approximations of children, but we're still talking about a LOT of work.
There is a reason why you don't see a lot of renders featuring children. It's simply too much work; way more than someone who simply wants to do pin ups, who has it pretty easy.
But since this has been requested continually for quite some time, I think we have to accept that a non-toon child figure is something no one wants to do.You speak too soon xD... As far as sells... I dont care. I do it for passion.... Not greed... I would be more then willing to fill the part. If given a chance.
AbhorrentusI haven't found a way to do so and may return the product because of it (there isn't even a way to use the head and body morphs separately -- a distrubing trend in character creations of late). I love the face morph but the spikes are a PITA without a way to turn them off.
Creech Evolutiuon Characters & Kit for Genesis 3 Male & Female [Commercial]Seriously, even if I didn't alredy find this intriguing, the fact it includes modular mix-and-match ability for some of the elements, like the finger membranes, made this infinitely more useful, because I can experiment with adding specific piece of anatomy to other creature-themed characters.
Thanks. The separating of the morphs in that way a critical part of the product concept right away. I credit that to my love of Werewolf transformation scenes. First the hand stretches out, then the feet, then the muzzle. Morph kit ability was a have to have for me.
Hey, who's this guy in the Thorneworks promo? That's Kimo 7. His skin texture is seriously awesome. A bit of a standard setter if you ask me. The skin tone and the other details make him one of the very best for current rendering methods. While he does seem to have a few baked in specular highlights, he geneally strikes a perfect balance. His texture has just the amount of details needed to look like human skin without putting so much detail into the skin that it upstages the viewers attention away from the morphing. It's a good thing when we need to ask which skin texture was used. This is a well thought out skin that doesn't display issues of stretching and other problems often found with some textures. It's as if the PA knew we'd use this skin on more shapes than just Kimo 7. Some skins are just too detailed to be very flexible. But Kimo will look good as anyone. I've even seen the same texture used for Barack Obama and it was convincing.
I agree 100%.... Kimo has one of the best textures, and I really like the head morph, too. I usually dial in 100% on the head, and then less on the body so he is slimmer. Another great Daz O texture is Darius 7. Fantastic
Cant reach the bottom most morph. One workaround might be to put the parameters pane in Edit mode, from the right-click menu, then hoghlight the moprh above, press the down arrow key to highlight the inaccessible parameter, then press the menu key on the keyboard to open the context menu for the property - which include Set>Value(s). You could also add a new zzzzz parameter which will take the last slot and bump the inaccessible one up. On reflection, the simplest workaround is to type part (in this case more) of the parameter name in the filter box at the top of the pane, that should thin the list to the point that the morph is no longer at the bottom of the pane.Still, I would make a bug report - though it may be a Qt issue in whichc ase fixing it might depend on moving to a newer version of the Qt framework.
Serious asymmetry problem, is Aiko6 an incomplete product?About "JCMAiko6ThighBckL" , and "JCMAiko6ThighBckR", JCM deform for wrong named side Thigh.
ERC setting are corespond with name,, (rThing bend ,link with JCMAiko6ThighBckR) but the morph name was set as opositte side defomation. I can confirm it should not be designed so.
the defomation need to pull back mesh of buttock, when each side Thigh bend to Back. but at current it deform opossitte side butttock mesh to pull and expand (there seems no reason), then keep prolbem area of the bend side as same as before..
When I exchange JCM values of both manually , I can clear see more smooth curve with pose bend each Thigh to back side.
Serious asymmetry problem, is Aiko6 an incomplete product?I really hope user customer strongly push DAZ offer bug tracking system for user not only about DAZ studio, but for all product.
without it, we can not buy product with clear knowledge of them.
we do not know if there is problem which arelady reported or not, and daz confrim it or not, and it will be removed or not, then actually someone (vendro or daz) try to remove and up-date problem or not.
Though we can refund item, but Do all customer check each item JCM or MCM or poligon arrangement, when they bought product? And I do not find any Positive side, we need to report same problem from each user, and support contact by each user.
Most of case, those morph mistake, or poligon arrangement, or wrong UV are clear enough, when it was reported from one user, and other customer of the product), can easy confrim , and can push ,request daz to correct them.
then we can check those bug report untill pay money for the product.
Face changes on G3F characterHello!
I have a problem and i don't find the way to solve it by myself.
If i apply youth morph on a G3F model and i save it, after reopen the face changes. I went through every slider on the properties tab to see what properties are changed, but there is everything seems the same as on the original but the face chages anyway. I have duplicate formula error on dr smile dr laugh and dr exited morphs but if i delete them the face still changes. I tried to reinstall the youth morphs but it did't helped. If someone have som ideas what went wrong, please share them with me. Thank you!
Cant reach the bottom most morph. As you can see from the print screen. The Propagating Head Scale morph is at the bottom. How ever.. I cant scroll down far enough to reach it. I dont know if this is a windows issue or a daz issue or if anyone else experiences this problem as well but I sure would like to know whats causing it and how to fix it... if at all pissible.
Problem at rendering with Victoria 7I use batch render to render a couple scenes when I'm going to sleep. Recently I'm having a problem with Victoria 7. In my scenes there are other character. Not Victoria. But in every scene there is Victoria morph at 100%. Head and body. What can I do to solve this? I tried with desinstalling Victoria but it doesn't work.
Thanks for advice
chin dimplesWell the G3M Head morphs sets come with cleft chin morph too. Also everybody has a chin cleft but some are more pronounced than others, mostly in eastern Europe with probability spikes high in former eastern Germany / now western Poland so ever character in the DAZ Store will have a chin cleft but they are not likely to have a morph control to change it. If they've modeled with sexual dimorphism in mind men's chin clefts will be on average more pronounced than women's, sort of like brow ridges and such.
Perhaps it is possible to use GenX2 to transfer heavy chin cleft from male to female?
Young Teen LauraAny mods here? Can you please ask Daz? I may even have them but can't find them in my purchase history.
They're called "Young Teens Morph Pack".
HD Navel MorphsI'd love an outie belly button morph
here's a navel outie morph for you, for genesis 3 males . Just put into the morph folder in data.
I just made one for a character I am creating and wanted an outie navel :)
You will find it in the hip section of Actor
