    Hi...

Okay so I'm home now and ran through the steps for a ERC Freeze of dialed morphs plus spawned DForm morphs... It works just as it should...

I spawned all the DForms as a single morph, and with other face morphs dialed in I did the ERC Freeze and created a new property. Checked over the morphs listed in the pane and then completed the freeze.

In the Parameters pane, I selected Currently Used to see only the morphs I dialed plus my morph and controller. I ran the controller back and forth and verified that all the sliders moved. With the controller slider set to full, I dialed down the slider for my DFormer spawned morph to verify that all of the dialed morphs were intact. I also turned off the controller morph, setting all sliders to zero, and dialed in my DFormer morph to verify that it didn't include any of the dialed morphs...

Then I saved using File > Save As > Support Asset > Morph Asset(s), and checked only my spawned morph and controller morph.

I then opened the new .dsf files to verify their contents. The spawned morph .dsf listed only 1702 deltas which is about right for my DFormers, and the controller .dsf only listed the formulas for all of the morphs that where used.

Everything is controlled from a single slider, and using the Property Editor you can locate it which ever group you want.

You can also now save as a Character preset to dial your slider from the Content Library, or in your case, make Meta-Data for Smart Content... ;-)

I would also suggest making a list of the morph sets for the morphs that you used. That way if you decide to share it, you can let users know which morphs sets are required to use your morph.

    @kitakoredaz

Yep, that's how you would do it for imported .obj morphs based on top of dialed morphs...

    If you need anything else....

    nicci... :)

OK, necro-post, but this is still a useful thread.

One thing to add to the above.  Do NOT name your controller and your spawned morph the same thing, else the DSF will overwrite itself, and it won't work.  Perhaps name your spawned morph something like "name_dform", and make it "hidden", and call your Controller "name".  Then you will get two DSF's, name_dform.dsf, and name.dsf.

Seems obvious...but maybe it will help someone at some point.  :)

Not FSL Divas, not Toon Generations 2 Grandma or any other toon morph, not People of Earth: Faces of Europe Genesis 3 Female.

Alright, you need another clue. This should be fun, not frustrating. This is a big clue:

    ***************************************************

Clue 3: The product does not come with a skin. It is a shaping only product for Genesisi 3 Female. That should eliminte an awful lot of products! It is not a "character".

  • Saving a morph

I edited a body morph on a piece of clothing.  When I load my clothing it is back to the way it was.  How do I save the fixed morph?

  • Jenn HD Trish HD

    Startling eyes!

    If I were to go for one of these Kayleyss characters, which would you recommend. From what I've read so far, most seem very happy with https://www.daz3d.com/gwennili-hd-for-victoria-7 ;

Gwenelli is very good. She has some features that the others don't have... namely, scars and a tattoo in an intimate area. These features are all part of the background of the character that she is based on (Cirilla, the child of destiny, from the Witcher stories).

The thing about Cirilla is that those features are so tied to the Witcher stories, I don't know how much you'd get out of those things. If you put the thigh tattoo on, maybe that's okay, but the scars are a little less useful since they're so particular.

Trish HD is probably easier to use because she's less specific than Gwenelli. Trish HD doesn't have scars or tattoos that mark her as a specific character. I think Trish HD also has a more general body type, whereas Gwenelli is supposed to be based on a young woman in her early 20s who has led a tough life... so her body shape is very lean and towards the muscular.

Trish HD is based on Triss Merigold, who is a sorceress in her 30s (and who can maintain a magically youthful appearance)... she just doesn't have the lean, hard body type that Gwenelli/Cirilla has.

So... if I were to recommend one figure to someone who doesn't need a specific character from the Witcher series?

    Probably Trish HD. https://www.daz3d.com/trish-hd-for-victoria-7

(She does have that line on the lips, so you'll need to go into GIMP or Photoshop to smudge out the line in the Normal map.)

EDIT: Jenn HD is also very good, but since Trish is based on a ginger, I went with Trish... but I'm happier with where I'm at with the Jenn HD figure right now in terms of skin, morph dials, and hair. I still need to work on Trish to get her where I want her to be. I do have Gwenilli pretty well dialed in, and haven't worked much with Gwenbleidd. (The pronounciation in the game was kind of annoying. "DD" is not a hard "D" sound.)

i made this a few years ago and often used it in renders

    It's for Aiko3 standard body and Aiko3LE

i unclude no morphs, but with Daz Studio 4's Morph Transfer command you should be able to add mild morphs without destroying the looks :)

note that the top is already on my site since a long time

  • Modeled on Geometry Eyes Vs Eyeball objects

Create separate eyeball geometry for each individual eye.

However, if you're using a fairly humanoid looking head and you can use the figure's eyes you're working with, then just morph the figure's eyes to fit/work-with the custom heads. It shouldn't be too bad of a result for background figs. But, it may just be easier to model your own eye models.

Note: Eyes are very important. No matter how far away someone's head is, or what type of head it is, our own gaze is always going to be drawn to the eyes. If the eyes are screwy looking or nonsensical from an human's "intuitive" sort of body-language interpreter (even for aliens :) ) then the background figs just arne't going to look right without comparably decent eyes.

  • Teeth Problem

Personally, they actually look like real teeth than the too-perfect ones we get.

Looks like a morph is doing something it shouldn't; or you have a morph dialed in.

Not Priya. Remember there is only one shaping preset applied to the base model. No extra aging morphs were used. You need to find a shaping preset that already has that sagging jawline and neck.

You mean the character itself comes with the morph?

I mean that I did not load any character and manually twiddle a bunch of different parameter dials. I loaded the base model for my selected generation (the model Daz gives us for free, not a character like Victoria anything, or Opal, or Joanie, or Abel, or George, or FWSA anything). Then I opened the product that contains the  shaping preset I used in the Content Library (you could also do it from Smart Content) and double clicked on a single thumbnail to apply that shaping preset to my base character. The product has a nice thumbnail and even a tip file with a larger view of the shaping preset. The product promo images in the Daz store also show the same view of the shape as the installed product, so even if you don't own this product, you can find it in the store with some digging.

This seems to be harder than I had anticipated. If nobody figures it out, I'll have to give some clues later in the weekend,

  • can I make a suggestion for band aids

This may take longer than I thought. surprise

I gave up on rigging it and am going with morphs.  The downside is that I can't get it to smoothly move into a complete circle with a morph so I am going to have to model a separate prop to have one that can go around fingers too. That's pretty easy though so I should still have it done tomorrow.  I'll start a thread in the freebies section when I have it ready, but I wanted to show what I have so far and make sure it's the kind of thing you are looking for.

those look great thats awesome .. I ccould work with those even if you can't get the bends rigging right  :)

  • Headshrinking in G3?

Rather than scaling on the head directly use the head propagating scale morph. you can sill scale the neck bones normally but the head and its child bones all scale to their individual origins thus the splodey mess.

Bought these on release, very happy with them. The strength of this morph set can really be seen when mixing the morphs.

What you can achieve with this product you cannot achieve with the DAZ body morph & muscle morph packages.

    Well done yes

  • Finding/Organizing poses

I've done what you described, and it is an imperfect solution (still dramatically better than uncategorized though).  A lot of poses can't be easily classified only one way vs the other, or apply to multiple things, or there may be poses intended for multiple figures that sort of need to be next to each other if you want to remember they interact even though one pose is completely different than the other, etc.  I've found poses for magic use , running, jumping, flying, dancing, and manipulating various objects can sometimes all be intermingled.  Also remember you have partial poses, which lead to expressions, which might be a combination of poses and morph injections.

I've also found I have roughly Way Too Many standing poses, so some subcategories are overloaded and I have multiple pages (which is awkward to look at, I find myself ignoring anything past page 1 as too hard unless I'm really looking hard for something I can't find), and when I tried creating a bunch of useful subcategories, I can't remember which things are in which.  So it's still a work in progress.  I've considered making subcategories something like "near duplicates" just to cram leftovers into if they're all very similar, so they're available if needed but the ones I'd be more likely to use would be the ones I see immediately upon clicking the category.

I've never gone the metadata route, but perhaps that would be something to consider since you could more easily classify things in multiple categories?

  • can I make a suggestion for band aids

I tried  the geometry shell thingy . but it didn't work out well.  So If I'm gonna have to use a shell geometry I mise will just stick with doing band aids in post work . I just wanted easy prop i could animated  as in "pulling off a band aid on a arm or cheek"  I can create any morphs on a prop my self using the dform or weight map tool..  But in my limited  experience using  geometry shells it always requires that I deform the character to match any morph i make to the shell, unless someone got a work around for it..  But I thought  i might just make a a simple rectangle pane prop and warp it with deform tool and texture it with a picture of a band aid. and see how that works.

Thanks guys for the help .

Oh, now I'm thinking male! Gwenbleiz?

I think Serene Night sent you down the male thought path. It is not Gwenbleiz. However, he is yet another great product I own.

I didn't even know you could transfer male morphs onto females! If nothing else I learned something else cool that I don't know how to do LOL.

Yes, you can! I use GenX2 to transfer morphs. It works pretty well. But I'm not saying I did that for this contest person.
