Request to improve hair product with ERC ghost bone (Top model hair etc)
>Hi daywalker03
yes actually those product with custom rig which can pose easy as bone and weight for hair part. but this problem should happen, about all product which have ghost bone, those follower ghost bones which have not in Actor rig, can not follow morphed shape position by Actor morph which change rig position.
then vendor may plan to make ERC for generated moprh then save it as original morph for hair, to adjust shape. But make all ERC for all daz offered morph is almost impossible, but I hope, if they can add ERC morphs for some base morphs like Height. or Now I am thinking more better ERC to circuloate correct rig postiion, by hair head bone. then set ERC (though it seems difficult about curernt daz offered parameter,,when fit to,,)
>Fisty
Usually adjust rigging to the shape work good I know well, but it depend on much how hair rig and new added bones are assigned to mesh group for weight mapped. This OutofTouch hair is not simple rig. it offer controll bone with parented (there is no weight map), if you try it about same product, you may find , it is not easy ,even though you try to adjust rig one by one, for those control bone, with the option.
(to be frankly said, there is many case, adjst rigging to the shape not work well, about rigging which have many controll bone without weight map)
after all I needed to adjust rigs by may sefl aproximately, for current many mix morphed shape, included height. But adjust rigging to the shape is temp, it work only about current morph value. after all every time re-adjust rigging to the sahpe for each Actor and morph which controll rigs, if you feel it is not heavy problem , it is your opinion . but as customer, I do not like such way.
And I feel, about daz studio and daz figure,, follower ghost rig (include grafting items) can not follow base rig position when fit to,, is Priority issues to improve daz product more for long time. after daz offer genesis figures, (auto genearte morphs , and fit to,, etc)
if DAZ can offer way to auto adjust rigs correspond to generated morph, about fit to item., or vendor offer add on, which can auto set ghost rig positon correclty, I really apreciate.
>Ivy yes, actually I know parenting is one good alternate method. but as you know, it is optional way. because parenting can not auto set ingected morph values from Actor. then if I use many morph, this time I need manually adjust shape for hair, to fit to current shape.I may inject those moprhs once, then un-parent and set those values manually etc. but keep parented not fit to is practical good way I know.
Having a problem injecting a morph into V4I purchased a clothing product from another location and it has 3 waist "shaper" morphs to inject into V4. When I double click on the injection in content library no error is given, but I don't see the morph dials either. I did look though the various body parts as well. When I double click the inject it flashes a loading for a split second, then nothing. The log says they were injected, but I still don't see them. Any ideas? All the other morphs I have work fine. Seems like I am missing something. Granted it is older, but a poser morph injection (.pz2) made for v4.2 should still work right?
Josh Crockett Suggestion Page for Monster Characters!I like the mouth on that! Was the head inspired by the Beast, from 'Krull'? It reminds me of that.
Going to have to disagree with RKane, however. A sense of symmetry is the one thing which I find is vital for creatures. It's bad enough when a human character has a blemish on their face, making it impossible to slightly morph the same character and use several of them in one scene (family relatives and such), but monsters/creatures absolutely need to be able to be depicted in a group.
For instance, I loved the face of Abhorrentus, but the creator missed a sale from me, specifically because of how it has that assymmetrical spike on only one shoulder and not the other. There isn't any way I'd be able to render more than one of them in a single scene (and I would have actually needed it to have done that) and not look weird. Symmetry allows multiple creatures of the same 'species' in a single scene to be believable. If the maker of that character had at least allowed for the spikes to be turned on/off, that would have been an acceptable compromise, but without that? No sale from me until it has a drastic discount in some future sale. And that's a real shame, because the face is amazingly unique and clearly had some excellent work put into crafting it. :(
Fortunately, it looks as if this new Fallen One character could now possibly occupy that niche for me. :)
So you are saying it's asymmetry unseetled you? :) Point made.
I am sorry, but I am just tired of Hell of total symmetry. For instance I LOVED the new figure Dale because his features had a hint of assymetry. THE WORLD IS NOT PERFECT! Make it weird, people. :)
[Just Released]- The Fallen One for Genesis 3 Male [Commercial]How do you sleep at night and NOT have nightmares.
I bet you walk down into the basement with no pause no matter what sounds you hear.
You have a pet black cat that crosses your path several times a day.
As a child, you threw an apple at a gypsy once.
I mean. how do you come up with this stuff?
Are you not afraid of your own creations?
This looks crazy...is it too late to get someone to make a poses pack?
And will this morph with your exile alien - oh dear, the possibilities.
You have a remarkable talent.
Lots of questions there haha
I have 4 cats, none of them are black
I sleep quite well
How do I come up with stuff? I look at other artists work that I admire
I actually did a make a hybrid morph of exile and this guy which I may release later as an add on or a freebie.
Most Genesis 3 poses work quite well with this guy. Particularly the ones for Damien.
And,,, thank you for the kind words

why is my properties preset not saving the morph dial?Kitakordedaz is correct. Saving the preset without saving the morph will lead you to the situation you speak of. (I speak from experience. :) )
Here is a hopefully helpful guide that may answer some questions for you too.
Purple Reptilian 6I'm beginning to wonder if there's a problem with my computer or my DAZ install. It's been fighting me about every little thing I try to do for the past week, and freezing up for long periods before responding; even just while scrolling my content library. I really can't afford a new computer right now.
*SIGH*
Maybe I'll just reinstall DAZ.
Wait. You are sure you arent changing any other settings? Youre on the most recent daz version?
No, I hadn't changed any settings, until after I noticed the purpleness in my test render. And my futsing neither helped nor made it worse. And I am still using 4.8, but I suppose grudgingly I shall install 4.9 when I get to the reinstalling portion of this exercise. I have the installers for both versions so maybe I'll just install both and see which one works better for me.
Did you load the default character or did you apply the morph then materials? Did you apply more than one material before ubering?
I loaded the default character, and applied the uber shader.
Which specific surface groups are affected by the purple wierdness?
Well, I cant reproduce the issue. It looks like something you should be able to fix manually but without looking at your surface groups its difficult to see what could be wrong. Maybe daz has a solution? Maybe try another shader package?
Sorry, not ignoring you. Like I said my computer is reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllyyyyyy slow and DAZ keeps locking up when I try to select the reptilian's surfaces. I had to re-open DAZ, reload the reptilian, and uber him. The affected surfaces seem to be the face, lips, tongue, teeth, gums and inner mouth.
OK, heres the good news. The face and lip surface groups should have exactly the same settings as the Head, Torso and pretty much everything else that is an exterior skin group. So try this. After you get the purple wierdness, select the face surface group and then control click the Torso or head surface. You should see exactly the same settings (with the exception of texture files). If you see a question mark on any of those settings for the face or lips, you have found a discrepancy. Change those settings to reflect the settings of the correct surface groups. For the tongue, teeth, gums and inner mouth, it could be that those settings are messed up as well. They wont be the same as the torso, etc., but it should give you an idea of what to adjust to find good settings. If you compare the good surface groups with the bad surface groups and all the settings and numbers are the same, then I dont know what to tell you other than to try updating or changing your shaders, write a ticket, whatever. Let me know what you find out.

Ok, thats good to know. Let me check something real quick. By the way, do you turn off CMS? If your using 4.8, you can turn off CMS and then daz may run faster for you. The down side of course is that if you use CMS then you wont be able to after turning it off (duh). I used to turn off CMS all the time. Unfortunately, it is BROKEN in the current version of 4.9 and turning it off drastically impacts daz performance. OK, ill check the reptoid again and get back to you.

Novica & Forum Members Tips & Product Reviews Pt 8You can turn the D-Formers into morphs... then in each frame, you just adjust the morph - and you shouldn't have to recreate the wheel for every frame. You can make a couple of different D-formers that convert into morphs for the same area to give yourself more control too - the BIGGEST problem with D-formers is that they can distort the UV mesh in ways that are hard to control, so textures, maps, patterns can get distorted.
A lot of times I buy a new product and realize it just automates some process I already know or is content that has a process I already know built into it. But... DAZ is a deep program - no matter what you learn about it, there are always going to be other areas of expertise in it you either don't know about, or aren't real competent in. I agree... I just started learning how to model my own content... and the more I learn about it, the more I realize I have to learn. I also sometimes do something and realize there was a better way to do it. I forgot who suggested turning limits off on short hair to be able to morph it into longer hair - but that was a brilliant idea that never crossed my mind. Another thing you can do sometimes is HIDE portions of an outfit... either morph it below the figure or hide parts of it by turning it off OR making the opacity of material zones 0... then kind of kit-bash your own outfit by putting another piece of content where you made the one piece disappear. So if you like the top of the Viking outfit and you can hide the skirt, you might be able to put another skirt on that character that flows better.
Thinking outside the box with DAZ really expands your horizons. Heh. Realizing there IS no spoon. :DI was the *brilliant* person who came up with the idea of turning limits off hair teehee
I was away for like a day and 104 new posts here, yikes! I still have to learn subD, D-formers, and sooo many other things. I REALLY WANT A COMPREHENSIVE MANUAL! I've said that like a zillion times but all we get are ridiculously expensive video tutorials that focus on just one subject. I managed to get the shader tutorial for $18.00 during some probable glitch, but I haven't gotten a chance to see if it's even worth it yet...Purple Reptilian 6I'm beginning to wonder if there's a problem with my computer or my DAZ install. Credit card securityAfter having four cards compromised since late December I now have one non-networked, clean-installed PC just for internet banking and one debit card for online shopping. I never shop from the banking PC and keep the balance of the DC at around $5.00 or less ($US 3.50ish).
Just before hitting purchase, I go to my banking machine and transfer the amount. Still expect to have cards comprised but not to lose anything.Router is still a weak point.
Edit: Bloody spelling.
I've installed Ubuntu alongside Windows, and use Ubuntu for all my browsing and card payments. It's a far more secure operating system, and with such a comparitively small user base there is little incentive for anyone to write any malware for it. The great thing about it is that it can also run off a flash drive, so every time you need to do a payment, you can just plug it in, restart your computer and you're set.
Ubuntu isn't the best choice security wise, you would be better with Debian.

https://www.wilmapsdigitalcreations.co.uk/view_product.php?id=156
https://www.wilmapsdigitalcreations.co.uk/view_product.php?id=157
Or maybe check Wilmaps other dresses.
These are beautiful but I am looking for the dress to spread out more when on floor
To get a dress to do that will require a special morph, or you'll have to use dynamic clothing.
Thank you :)

feet poke through shoes, need help fixing this...Well, I think I'd start by finding out why shoes intended for G3F don't properly fit even V7. I understand that some characters are morphed so out of shape that clothes, especially heels, don't fit properly. But most any shoe you buy from an experienced vendor like OOT really should fit.
Here's what I'd do:
1. Test the shoes with G3F -- no character applied. Do they fit?
2. Now try the base V7, no other morphs. Just turn the body shape dial to 100%, and no other morph dials. Do they fit?
If the answer to #1 is no, I'd contact the vendor or marketplace. G3F shoes should definitely fit G3F. If the answer to #2 is no, then it's a shame that the shoes won't fit the most popular G3F-based character. I'd still contact the vendor and inquire. Perhaps it was an oversight in not supporting the V7 body morph shapes.
Of the above suggestions, of course hiding the toes won't help as you said these are open-toed shoes. It doesn't always help with closed-toed heels, as the toe geometry is often a larger than what fits into the shoe. Your character looks like she's wearing a prosthetic.
There was a product for, I think, V4 called XAway that would sometimes work in these instances. I'm not sure if it's available for G3F. If you have it, or can get it, and you have GenX with the G2/G3 addons, you might try converting the morphs. What they do is shrink the geometry in a way that's not auto-followed. The shoes stay the same size and shape.
