Easter Eggs. I did not install some of the egg items. Maybe some day? For folks who are interested in such things, I spent total $26.40 in store credit to get 57 items with a total msrp of $881.18. That's ~97% off and about 46 cents per item. That includes the 5 egg items bought today, a newly mad item, 10 tokens (got 8 from a Monday splurge on PA items, spent 2 on the egg items, got 2 from the egg items, put the remaining 8 in the Golden Eggs cart), and, of course, the Golden Egg promo.

They seem to be entering a new phase where every few times you open a forum thread it shows a full-screen ad. That's not acceptable. Obviously the first couple of times it happened, I backed up and wondered if I'd actually touched one of the things, but I am pretty sure I did not.

This discussion will probably get closed as it has been several times when bought up, but a huge amount of people complained about the gallery banners, than the forum banners etc. It is sad, because some of us use google to search for say a Daz vintage hairbrush and google serves us an old forum post. But I have to say on Easter Sunday today, they are very annoying, because they are popping up and expanding as a full page on my 38 inch 4K monitor, and today's experience takes away any appetite I may have had for eating a nice Easter dinner. This is in video format covering the entire page, so the worms are crawling. Simply disgusting. Maybe a forum moderator could show this to the powers that be. Sites using an grayed out - sign up overlay to force a click was never that popular. Using this type of overlay will not retain or gain customers. They will simply close the page, hit the back button.

Edit I am clicking links to shop (research version needed for plug-in, maybe refrain from returning an item because a fix is here etc). this makes me turn off the monitor and do something more pleasant.on my other pc.

Really? This is new to my experience here, and not really welcome.

Why not just do a store search? Select characters, select filters on left and expand the Figure category and check genesis 9. Next sort from low to high and browse for characters that have a skin you like. If you want, you can also try sorting by most popular. Price will very based on quality, but there are tons of light skinned characters. Some will include both masculine and feminine nipples, but some don't. I know how to search/filter, but thanks. Was asking for recs specifically because there are a TON of light-skinned female characters, and I was hoping to not have to look at all of them for freckle distribution if some kind soul with greater experience/knowledge happened to know of a product offhand that would suit.  

The best place I've found for movie/book/fan stuff is Sketchfab. You'll get an .obj, an .fbx or a .blend file most of the time and if your materials skills are up to scratch you won't have a problem using them. Great place for vehicles, space ships, random props etc. If you can think of it, someone has modelled it already. It's a gold mine.

The BBC budget for every episode was about £20 so you should be able to put together any of the sets or scenes from the show with what you already have...  :)

Oh, you've definitely seen Mucha's work, or at least pastiches of him. He was a prolific commercial artist and largely defined what comes to mind when you say "art nouveau" to anyone who isn't a huge art nerd or an architect.

i have a file that conations a charcater , and i want to open it, change the character pose to a different pose  that is store in my content libary, then i want to save the file

i have been trying for ages to get a script make that
1 - opens a file / a scene already saved on my computer

2 - changes the pose of the character in the scene

3 - saves the file / scene on my computer

the code above i have got out of  a long process with forum/google/gpt, it seems to not no anything about daz studio scripting at all

the script above opens the file ok

we run into a error on line 7  finding the scene

and i am not sure if the changing the pose and saving the scene after are correct either, can anyone adivse, thanks

yeah I was using irays materials ok ill render a scene like anatomy theater and see how that comes out, if not good  ill ask if I cn get some tips how to improve it

Hello.  I’m a hobbyist who dabbles with Daz Studio and other 3D rendering software.   I’m retired now so I have a lot of time to give to this … not that I plan or expect to create masterpieces. I would say in general, that items created in the 3Delight heyday will render best with the 3Delight engine and that items created for Iray will render best with the Iray engine.  I have had delightful experiences at times when an item with materials created for one render engine rendered nicely (to my eye) in the other engine.

I loaded Anatomy Theatre, a few props and its lights and rendered the simple scene in both 3Delight and Iray. I didn’t try to change any settings; I just wanted quick renders.  The 3Delight renders looks better.

@felis mentioned RSSY’s Iray to 3Delight Converter.  I have bought that as well as their 3Delight to Iray Converter but I’ve not, regrettably, played with either one nearly enough.  Both are on sale this weekend, though, at 70% off ($6.20 each).

If you search YouTube for daz studio 3delight, you may find a very few videos that discuss 3Delight.  One is What's the Difference between Iray, 3Delight and Filament in Daz Studio (DAZ3D/Jay Versluis) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS1MPRJjDss.

Few comments here regarding new purchases:

- I was stunned by Render Studio 3 lights. Usually products like that are just a base and require tweaking, adjusting, and so on. In this case, out-of-the-box settings are enough and provided stunning results that only got better in postwork. I can see myself using them a lot.

- In turn, I was a bit disappointed by some of the textures in the Troll Cave. Props are really nice (and I'm going to use the environment splitter to separate some things that weren't put into the props section but are separate/movable within the scene), but the floor lacks details and is kind of "too clean" for the setting, and the walls... on my render they were coming out pixelated as if they were not meant to be rendered unless out-of-focus. I ended up using DD PBR Stone Shaders on them both. (And retextured the wooden sticks as well while I was at it.)

- And Eddie. I love Eddie. I should have gotten her much sooner. :)

Workflow Information:

DAZ Studio Geometrie Tool was used to add several surfaces to saucer (hide inner surface for interior, the DS Cylinder see above; creation of several additional surfaces to apply different shaders)

Material of Bicycle and other items were manual adjusted in DS Surface Tab by manual setting of color, glossy reflection etc.

No postwork was done.

Every time I hear of somebody in this forum having trouble with a creepy neighbor or some overly imposing vagrant, I wish they could just summon me like they do in the role playing games. Like, they just play the right tune on a pan flute and I appear in a puff of smoke and show the troublemakers a proper crazy woman.
