"New" tag in forums getting stuck
Has anyone else seen the "New" tag in the forum category pages have "New" next to them but you go in and nothing is there?
At first I thought maybe something was posted and moved/deleted/otherwise moderated and the New wasn't updated. But now I see after I've finished reading all the new items and go back to the forum list. Refresh doesn't do anything. It only clears with Mark as Read.
Hand traced DAZ figures. Thanks for sharing your work! I understand how much a challenge this can be, and the satisfaction that comes from seeing one's own handiwork.
I also mix 2D with 3D, resorting to hand-drawn line art. As much as possible I rely on the renderer to produce a stylized image that near-2D, then I bring it into an image editor to add extra elements. Generally speaking, manga acts as my visual guide and I've had some success adding flourish to clothes, mainly to emphasize cloth folding and shading.
Update: mmitchell_houston is one fellow who consistently aims for 3D renders along the same hand-drawn style. This page at the 3D Comic Book Tips and Pictures here in the Daz Forum showcases some good examples of his work.
Cheers!

OK copy 立方体.176 rename paste works
some windows coplains about filenames but am going through and fixing copying from missing file dialogues
not easy to mouse over select
had to manually load the Christmas cabin chimney albedo map
oh a tif, will convert to png and resave a fixed scene, likely needs other stuff optimized anyway if like their others scene using Code66 tools
update not as bad as the Cosy Cabin on lack of instancing
I know I should submit a ticket but I only paid $2.50 for the character bundle these sets were in
still
a lot of work fixing it
use irfanview batch convert on the tif files that mostly don't load (some do)
OMG Carrara I had to do obj exports as there was no fixing the duf/dsf filenames that that liked
amazed looking at DAZ-DEALS forum references nobody else has dealt with this

Eh? It's not a product suggestion either. May I suggest the best place for these questions would be The Commons?

DS 6 has a different behavior in terms of manipulating shortcut as well as keyboard navigation in this case ~~
1) Before pression Shift + K, you have to left-click in Viewport to make Viewport get focused, then press Shift + K. You'll see Keyboard Navigation icon on Toolbar is enabled.
2) Then before navigating by pressing WASD, you have to do the same. If Viewport lost focuse, e.g. if you click in Scene pane..., navigation by pressing WASD wouldn't work.DS 4 has no such behavior, so it's a bug to me in DS 6.
I always turned off keyboard nav in DS4 because I would get camera rotations (E) at random times when I thought the focus was elsewhere, such as the search bar in parameters. If the mouse drifted out of the search bar, the letters typed became navigation. I always considered that a bug.
Me too ~ But I never think it's a bug in DS 4 because I always think the function of keyboard navigation was specifically designed for the scenario that the user WANT TO navigate in Viewport, e.g in a huge scene ~~
The moment you don't need navigating, just Shift + K to turn it off ~
Today I learned... Shift-K would have solved two years of headaches. (And yes, I could have clicked the menu item or the toolbar "keyboard". But a shortcut is far less effort than moving the mouse to the toolbar. I just never turned keyboard nav on.)
I will admit, the current solution does have the flaw that you have to click in the viewport as that will either deselect the current node in scene or select a different node.

Having issues with Aiko 4 on Daz Studio 6, as it doesn't load at all.
No, it doesn't load because it's loaded by dsb script which doesn't work anymore in DS 6. You can go to the folder of Aiko 4.cr2, search Aiko 4.dsb, delete it or remove it. Then load Aiko 4 in Content Library.
That would also apply to Girl 4 and Victorial 4 and others that were part of Gen 4. How do I do that?
Right click on the icon in daz studio, and in the popup select "Browse to File folder" and it will open an explorer window in the folder location.

Weird error loading old duf fileYes. It worked just fine in Daz 4. I exited and left Daz 6 and it still had the error.
It's an absolute path because I don't put my personal files in the Content Library. When I do a search, I don't want it searching my scene files. I don't want it indexing my personal scenes. This has worked just fine for the last 2 years that I've been using Daz.

I used this month's voucher to get a cow, which is much more interesting than the characters. There are so many minotaurs here; could you introduce horse-headed characters next time? In my homeland, minotaurs and horse-headed men are messengers from hell who arrest the dead; I definitely need characters like that.
Do a search in the store here for "Hoss" for genesis 9
Dang... I actually bought that and then forgot about it as I usually default to G8 and G3 when using DAZ Studio. Which just goes to show that both this store and our product libraries really need a better search/indexing system.

I think I've seen this before, but it's a bit too cute. Could that face be a little longer? Anyway, I've added it to my wish list. This is what I imagine it to look like.
Now that you've appeared, may I make a wish for a new dragon? (It should have two hands and two feet; this is just an AI demonstration.)
I dont want to derail this thread.....the horse head can be scaled up with the head size dial...and my "Royal Eastern 2" should be close (at least close as I can get with the current dragon options)

The "The Weather Changes More Often than the Thread Title" Complaint ThreadI'd thought of insulating the two windows in my living room that look onto the other apartment's hot, enclosed porch. (Stupid design! Caused by splitting the single family house into two apartments.) Although, I never did, because another potential problem is moisture between the glass and the insulation promoting growth of mold. Here's what GoogleAI mode says when I ask it "Report on possible issues with covering the inside of a window with reflective foam or fiber insulation."

Insulation is a good idea, but the best way to do that with windows, is replacing the entire window with reflective double or triple pane windows. There is a dry gas between the panes. However, $$$$
Or another possibility is a permeable insulation capable of breathing to avoid the moisture problem.
