I had a bit of a stoush with them on the now removed AI discussion forum as someone who only uses free generators and got blocked by them there, in spite of loving buying their stuff 

...and I still buy and render 3D content BTW (don't throw my cash at AI)

guess some are just more passionate about the  phenomenon and willing to give up some income in protest

It works very well with libreoffice (and probably other spreadsheets)

The interest to use a spreadsheet is that it is possible to automatically create a link to the daz page (if it exists) from the product name (that is in the csv).

Once the link is created,  click on it to open the page. If the page exists, it means that you have already purchased the product from rendo and you can as you want: hide the page, wishlist with a specific comment, enter it in a file, make a note in the csv, etc. If the page does not exist, most probably the product has not been transferred to the daz shop.

Here is a function to create the url from the product name that I found in another forum. It work 99% of the times. Just past it at row 1 to any empty column, then copy-paste it to the row(s) of the product(s) that you want to check.

so far Microsoft Edge is holding up for both Forum and store

I only get the cookie banner here and on other sites the first time as would be expected and once accepted goes away

if I were a newcomer not a veteren of 14 years I would not revisit a site that acted like this

also the DAZ  Ads I get on other sites (this time using Chrome) are rather like preaching to the choir, if other companies Ads are not being shown then DAZ is likely not gettng their Ads shown to users of other 3D software either which IMO is not good value if paying for advertising

I disabled adblock plus and got the two prompts to download 'coverter suite' as shown; these persisted through multiple screen refresh cycles.

This is what Daz wants to promote? Really?

It's time for Daz management to contact the ad service provider and state that there will be a charge of $1000 for each reported instance of click-bait ads that do not mention a product or a service and a $10,000 charge for each occurance of an ad leading to a compromised or malware distribution site, and that two occurrances on the same page count as two instances for charge-back purposes.

I do that all. The. Time, but it isn't very helpful if it's a selection with several hundred or thousand items.

And finding items that add up to approximately $X is difficult when there happen to be stacking &/or competing sales, where item prices will change based on what is in the cart. For example, the St. Patrick Day $50 of free DOs in the middle of March Madness.

I've seen this render in other threads here on the forum when I was researching if my RTX 3060 12GB was powerful enough to be able to handle heavy scenes on Daz. It's a really nice render to be honest! What I wanted to do was close to this in terms of number of characters, poses and scenery (not the Wild West theme, of course).

Out of curiosity, the resolution of the scene I was working on was 4000x4000, but then you're wondering: why working in a square aspect? Couldn't it be in 3840x2160 (4K) or 1920x1080 (1080p)? Well, I'm a DJ and music producer in addition being a hobbyst digital artist, and square resolutions are great for putting custom album covers on my tracks, and these 5 renders I would use to put in some .MP3 files before I set up everything to my USB stick!

I'm sure you have this: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-starter-essentials-47939 already. based on the descriptions, these are new folks dropping things so there may be a few bugs they need to figure out. if you cant see the link, just type in 'dForce" in the search bar, have the low-high price and it should read dforce starter essentials. Besides thats the only issuse i see from the rest of the list uto the last 2, which is odd since its a proper set. again, could be some the same issue i have with a hair, which is considered a cap and is only found in the "Content" tab.

I just bought and install 15 products including hair, clothing, and shoes. Though I haven't tried to find them all, I noticed there's hardly a change in number of those items when I search for G9 clothing/hair/shoes. So, I got the name of one of the missing items, a dress, and found it under Products in the Content Library section. What's going on here. Doesn't Daz even make sure the products they're going to sale is findable? One of the items in question is the dForce Saturday Night for G9 dress. Even the materials and other settings can only be found there.

I just saw one of the outfits I bought doesn't show up at all, unless it's misfiled.

Its literally 95% of the ads that showed up on the forums... I just came here to check on something and couldn't remember the title of the thread, so I kept clicking on a few and it was the only ad showing up... so I decided to see how many times it would show up consistently... after 25+ times only two other ads showed... Ashley Furniture and Solid Works... but just once each...

So here's the interesting part... on an iPad if you press and hold on an ad or link, it previews the page... like this:

But with the "Continue" ad, it won't allow preview... you have to visit the page.

Which I find very suspicious since the only time preview is blocked is by paywall sites and compromised sites that cause the iPad to warn me the site "may harm my device"... 

Why would a site not allow preview?... is it not expecting guests and needs a moment to tidy up?

It's also very, very, very insistent on being the only ad presented here since it's on every frickin page regardless of forum or login status.

Why?

I have never gotten one ad that is the only ad that shows up on the website... anywhere. it's impossible to replicate this on any website I know of, even ones with lots of suspicious ads.

I've purged my cookies several times too, to see if that stops it... Nope. It does not.

And that's not just today... because for the past three days I've been seeing this ad over and over exclusively and yesterday and the day before I also randomly tested threads and it's the only ad I see.

Why?

Also... apparently I have an orange banner which the ads are blocking... I only noticed because if you swipe up and down real quick you can see the edge of it for a second... I have no idea what it is, nor do I care, because even if it was 90% off everything on my wishlist, I'm not buying anything until this crap sorts itself out.

I honestly don't know what the point or strategy of making an already problematic forum experience significantly worse is.

If the idea was people like visiting a forum that keeps signing you out, keeps having gateway errors, often won't accept attachments, asks you to verify your cookie settings EVERY COUPLE OF PAGES and and now has the added bonus of mystery ads... I assure them (whoever they are) that is not the case, the sentiment or anything anyone remotely appreciates... If I hadn't cancelled my platinum club membership years ago over a similar sort of "principle of the matter" issue, I'd certainly do it now, because unlike ShareCG which is free site, the majority of the folks here buy stuff from the store... if you are going to put ads on a site like THIS one, you should make sure they are not clickbait or shady mystery ads... and if you have ads the revenue should at least be providing a means to improve the forum, not be another unfortunate circumstance that actually creates more problems you (and DAZ's IT department) have to deal with while visiting.

I've been using various fourms since Victoria was in diapers.  I can't figure out how to view attached screen shots in DAZ Forums.  All I can see is the useless thumbnails.  Even looking at the page sourcecode only links to the thumbnails.  How do I see the actual screenshot?

100% agree here. It is very cumbersome to go through pages of items, just to find what I'm interested in. Filtering characters is possible, but if I only search for items and buildings, I have to got through a huge amount of other stuff.

As some of you may know, DAZ refuses to answer my support request getting access to the Carrara SDK. That is now over two weeks ago. Therefore I am unable to develop a Plugin for Carrara 8.5.1 Pro Win64bit. If anyone is interested in developinfg a Plugin for me, please state sum of reimbursement via PM. Objective: a greeble Plugin similar to Tom Klanky's 3ds max greeble Plugin freely available at his website. An alternative could be developed with the OpenSource provided in ZIP format to download here in this forum (download provided). Originally, the plugin was developed with a different SDK, other than Carrara, but OpenSource for another commercial program.

If you are interested developing this Plugin for me, let me know. I pay you a reasonable but not over the top reimbursement within my limits. Your ideas either here or via PM. Payment discussions please only via PM and not here openly in the forum.

When you go to your account page on rendo next to the search purchaces on the right is CSV download  all your purchaces since your first purchace!

DAZ AI Studio is quite remarkable.  It's important to remember it's still in Beta - but already does some things better than mature products.  In the DAZ published blog about AI Studio, there is this excititing news about future functionality:

In the Layered Products: It gives you the ability to select environments, characters, lighting, and more as predetermined elements in your creations. This gives you quick, predictable iterations granting you even greater control over your generated images. Our Published Artists will be creating these Layered Products, currently Victoria 9 and Michael 9 are available for use.

This is huge.  I've been using MidJourney and its challenging and quite unpredicatable (which is core to the MJ 'philosophy.')  

The question will arise about purchased DAZ Assets.

A lot of work is involved in creating (I call it 'training') AI models - my understanding is they are using images not the 3D assets themselves (but I'm new to this I may be wrong.)  

I for one would have no problem purchasing an AI Add-on to products I already own.  It takes a lot of time and work to create those AI models. (It would be great if the actual images they used were made available to use in other engines for a price, that that's a reach.)  This also means all your favorite products from all generations become 'fair game' as well.

I don't want to post it here since this Forum is dedicated to DAZ AI Studio, but I reached out to a PA who graciously gave me permission to work with a product I purchased  and use it in MidJourney, results in my Gallery and Instagram.  I don't pretent to be an expert, and it's far from perfect.  I only used images to train the AI, not the 3D assets themselves, and I bought the asset, so I'm pretty sure it's within the license, but this is all so new. 

It gave me real insight into how much work is involved.  

(I'm hoping DAZ lawyers are working on a legal loophole using purchased, proprietary AI modules to allow people to copyright AI works, but I have no idea what I'm talking about here.  That would be a huge selling point for thool vs other venues if they could do a legal tap dance like that.)

It's all so new, and there will be many so so many questions, but so so many possibilities - It's amazing.
