looking for a good morph tutorial for a hoodMaking a morph for a hood, should include that the hood would drape.
It would be best to done by simulating, as it is hard to model convincenly.
You also should be aware of, if you apply a morph the hood will still move with head movements, as the vertexes belongs to the head.
That said, is it something like this you are after?

It is done purely by dForce simulation. A dForce simulation can also be exported and then imported as a morph (should be done on base character).

could someone add the neanerthal 9 to another character, maybe at 50% or thereabouts?
Added 33% Neanderthal to a custom G9 character.
thank you. Wow, that is very good. With the added 10% off this morning I'm buying. I'm now convinced.
Thanks! I picked up the Neanderthal bundle in hopes that the shapes would add something interesting and new to the tool set, and with just this first try, I'm satisfied that at sensible amounts, they can add something useful to seriously intended characters. The base here is one of my Face Transfer 2 characters.

Please explain the last flood of character faces and shapesjohn_97a982ce said:
Perhaps I'm somewhat critical of anything that looks mass-produced, and/or generic, because of how I've created characters in the recent past. I built two 8.1 models and one from a Genesis 3 base. It took me a great deal of time because they were works of love. I shaped each aspect of the faces and bodies, literally. I did not use any morph software other than the sliders for those individual aspects. Calves and forearms, for exaple, I dipped into the musculature to shape what I consider to be two of the most neglects body parts. Everyone labors over the heads and faces, or should, as do I, but you get my point. It takes me many months to finish one model. The two 8.1 models took a year each.
You presumably are not working full time, many PAs are - and so are more practiced, making them faster for a given task. If recent character designs are not working for you then that is a perfectly legitimate reaction and is not open to criticism by others, but you should not assume that it relfects shortcomings in the recent characters or lack of care and attention in their production.

looking for a good morph tutorial for a hoodHi All.
I am looking for a good morph tutorial
i want to make the hood from Vitruvian Exosuit Female
look as if it has been pulled back, still staying around the neck just pulled back off the head and hanging/rolled around the neck.
Any recommendations?
Star Wars Renders 2013 +Not really a Canon nor Legends render, but in away it is inspired by Rebels version of Captain Rex.
This head morph is based on the Clone commander (I guess) from SW Battlefront 2 ('17) the skin is from a 8k daz character.
Vader's "hologram" is a prop made with Daz then made into a wireframe prop in Blender then imported into the Daz again.

Yes!
I'm in desperate need of cute winter things and that outfit is perfect! But without a zipped-up coat morph, it's useless to me. Shame. This puffer jacket is cropped, but it does open and close and it's really quite cheap: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-short-puffer-jacket-for-g8-8-1f-and-g9. Maybe that helps?

What are you saving exactly? A morph asset for a new morph?
If a morph asset is saved with a non-zero default value, it will be be applied with that value every time you load the figure.
Thanks, I realized that my save character depends on 2 other morphs, so that causes problems.

If a morph asset is saved with a non-zero default value, it will be be applied with that value every time you load the figure.
More specifically, it will be applied every time one loads a character that uses the same base figure, no matter if one loads a new character into an empty scene or opens an old scene that was saved years ago.
Saving as morph asset is meant for saving morphs one has made one self. If one uses store bought morphs to dial up a character and saves that as a morph asset, all the morphs will be duplicated and if one saves the character with a non-zero value, that character will effectively become ones base figure.
Why not save the character as Scene Subset?

Female centaur muscle morphsI found this great set of muscle morphs for male centaurs https://www.daz3d.com/hd-physique-shaping-for-genesis-8-male-centaur but I can't find a female version of it. It has the best serratus morph I've seen on daz and I'd like to be able to apply it to female characters.
My product suggestion would be for the artist who owns this product (Sixus?) to make a female version of it.
Anyone else a bit concerned by the pivot towards adult content?Tomhip said:

Ya all wait untill next month when we start welcoming artists from Renderotica :D
Actually, Zev0 sells the G3 and G8 versions of the open wide product on renderotica. Just sayin'.
THANK YOU, Torquinox. I was just writing someone else how this is the only new release I'm even vaguely interested in today and that I wished Zev0 had a G8 version as well because there's one morph/pose in there I don't think you can achieve any other way. (And no, I don't intend to use these poses for what you're thinking. I want the throat bulge combined with cheek puff for a scene where I have to change someone into a frog.)
(SNIP)Hopefully this means Zev0 will be able to bring those to this store too. Rest of his morphs there are VERY NSFW though .
Given that a large percentage of those are add-ons for products by a vendo who is not sold here, it seems unlikely. Though not as unlikely as THAT vendor showing up here. :D

How to create "pose control" for a rigged prop ?Elor said:
Oh, it's like magic. And it also solved the saddle height control too

I'll replace the flower bone with a conditionnal graft later.
Thank you !
Edit: just adding it for reference if someone (likely futur me) is scratching their head because they set a morph scalar value at 100 and doesn't understand why that morph value shoot straight to 100% when dialing the control slider at even 1%, well, the answer is simple and past me should have known better: just keep the default scalar value of one.
Now that I have a rigged stand, a rigged and morphable saddle, conditionnaly grafted flowers, let's rig that bell, after all, my first render with that bike had Victoria 8.1 using the bell very liberally but with a rigged bell arm, on top of posing her hand like she's using the bell, I could also pose the bell arm like the bell is working

Glad that worked for you. You're welcome !
Scalar is tricky esp. when you set the value for joint rotation properties... because they have absolute values other than percentage. So that depends on how you set the value, value range as well as positive / negative on the rotation properties... So if to assure the ERC delta add "linear", align Scalar value with the rotation value.
And rigging is always an interesting thing, hoho ~
