Frontier Outpost bought but not installable
I should have checked the forums first, but I also filed a report.
Funny thing tho, content states it is only available through daz central, but the mandatory supportticket-form has no drop down selection for Daz Central
Did you check under sales or under Tech Support? it does show under Tech Support.

And then at application (mandatory field to select). There is Daz Studio all versions and DazinstallmanagerSince ithought it was just an issue with Daz Central, I wanted to pick that.
[FIXED] Frontier Outpost... DazCentral Only !There is obviously something wrong with these uploads. For now I am working on the assumption that all isntall methods should be available, none are, and Daz Central is erroneously being reported as available when it isn't. Please refrain from assuming the worst - if they fix the issue and Daz Central continues to be the only option then you may draw inferences.
SHADERS : Skin Shaders Community Workshop - No links availableThanks Richard for making this clear. So I definitely will not be able to use it, as I do not intend to install Daz Central.
Apparebntly I didn't make it clear - the other product that lists only Daz Central has been confirmed not to be working in Daz Central, so I suspect the issue here is it is saying Daz Central when it fact there are no files at all and all the installaltion menthods should be missing until that is fixed - at which point I suspect all of them will be there.
A bit sneaky, as i had no idea that such items would be released...
Reminds me of the encryption thing some years ago.For this product it even doesn't make any sense in my humble opinion.
Report sales errors here: "There's Always Another Sale™"Didn't see that when I bought it hope this gets changed as I refuse to use Daz Central based on all the problems it's caused, other people

Richard said the opposite.

DELETEdaveso's troubles came after trying the new DAZ Central. That's a known problem for many people. DIM & Smart Content are good ideas. But the excecution failed. DAZ created utilities/features that require data programming skills to cope with them. Maybe DAZ forgot that many of us just want to make art?!
This is rather an overstatement - the only thing you need to do is to tell DS/Dime where you content should go, and make sure you have told them the same thing. Even the Daz Central/DIM thing seems to boil down to that.
daveso, I wish you the best of luck.
[FIXED] Frontier Outpost... DazCentral Only !Hmmm, I don't have Daz Central installed and no plans of doing so especially after talking to many people (including PA's) about the issues. So if I don't have Daz Central I can not install or use Stonemason's new set? If this is the case, then that's a sales lost, I don't need it that badly. Sorry, I like having choices without it being forced upon me.
[FIXED] Frontier Outpost... DazCentral Only !there are several products in this new batch of new ones that say DAZCentral for insall...nothing else.
I too had the file structure mess up with DAZ Central ... it didnlt work, and uninstalled it. This might be it if they continue doing DAZ Central only installs.DazCentral: One more example of the extremely low priority of Daz's Mac usersnemesis10, you're right. I don't want DAZ Central. I'm just waiting to see if they get their act together concerning DAZ Central.

DazCentral: One more example of the extremely low priority of Daz's Mac usersThanks, nemesis10. That's about what I thought. It's too long for me. My iMac's 1GB video card is not good enough for iRay. I've seen the messages in the log files. I've actually accepted the fact that I need to get a PC just so I can easily handle iRay. And I will ignore DAZ Central as long as humanly possible.
I only come back here to see if DAZ finally got over the DAZ Central Identity crisis. Is it still a Beta version? Why does the announcement say DAZ Central is for everyone, when it is not?
You know you don't really want Daz Central... it is really for newbies who don't rearrange their stuff. I am puzzled by those people who are already using DIM (which is pretty robust when you sit down to use it), DAZ Connect which is more than fine for some of us, or those who install manually. The image above took a bit longer because it has all the bells and whistles (DOF, a large emmisive surface as the background, figure, geoshells etc...)
Except Stonemason's new Frontier Outpost is ONLY available to download with Daz Central. I have no interest in installing or using Daz Central but now I have to because I bought Frontier Outpost. I hope this isn't a trend.
It's broken, the files aren't there fr Daz Central either.

Same for https://www.daz3d.com/shaders--skin-shaders-community-workshop
Hopefully not since Daz Central is still only on Windows as far as I know. Sending an inquiry.
Thanks, Cris. Having bought "Frontier Outpost" without noticing it only lists DazCentral I can confirm that the order download page only offers DazCentral for downloading and the manual download page doesn't have links to download ZIP files.
If this was intentional then I'll be requesting a refund.
Edited to add: Just checked and "Frontier Outpost" does NOT show up in DIM while the free Stonemason item obtained with the coupon does show up.
[FIXED] Frontier Outpost... DazCentral Only !I just bought Frontier Outpost as well & would like it in DIM to be saved & backed up in the same OS FS location as all the other products I've bought at DAZ 3D and downloaded via DIM. We were told DAZ Central was in addition to DIM not in place of DIM.
What happened to my Install Manager links? Daz Central only.
All products from the Daisy 8 Pro bundle have manual links. I haven't checkedcked the other purchases I've made but I will.I stick to manual downloads as I want control over where and what download to which directory and library. I'm not installing Central. We went through this a couple of years ago. That particular attempt at least had a time limit. One year after purchase all links including manual were made available at purchase. I took my money elsewhere then because I won't be dictated to how and where I download or install products. I'll do again. The Outpost product is nice but I don't need it that badly. I have other similar sets that can work just as well.Yeh, I returned Daisy 8 and some other stuff in protest.
Underdark environments and architecture?Be aware that you can only download by way of Daz Central. And even that is not working right now.
This seems to be an error in set up, and also in reporting that Daz Central is available despite the set-up issue
[FIXED] Frontier Outpost... DazCentral Only !Did you not read Stonemason's message?
But from what I can see Stonemason was replying to the fact that it wasn't appearing in DAZ Central. Hope he meant he was going to try and get it added to DIM too.
