That's a reference I have no idea about. Certainly I am old enough, but not something I ever heard of. "George Lucas" name drop makes me think "Start Wars". I'm not a fan. I think I only saw the original movie decades ago.

For ideas, I think of Firefly; Serenity's engine room. Mass Effect as well (although the upright style like Star Trek's warp core is, to me, not on 'brand' for your ships. I personally think horizontal cylindrical engines are the right flavour). Hell Divers 2 also has some ideas. Of course these would only trigger your innate talents.

I personally imagine them as connecting to the existing engines much like traditional space rockets.

i have to say I like the character from Matari3D M3D Marlow HD for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D  other than the gorge across the bridge of his nose. I would think he usually wears glasses,. Also like the new hair from Prae -Nico Hair For Genesis 9 and 8 | Daz 3D
I had purchased some stuff yesterday to get me 8 tokens ... oh, I caved and bought a premier membership. The tokens plus the Gold Star discount, and putting 2 New Releases in my cart gives me additonal discount on the Mad Artist Stores, Ended up with 75% off New Releases, 84% off some Wishlist items, and 92% off DO Mad Artist items...G8 , Horse 3, and G9. Not too bad really.  
EDIT" Just remembered, I have the DO $10 coupon to u se as well, so that can drop it some more for the DO items. AHA -- the 3 DO items are now 100% off with $5 left or so, that will allow me a couple more products as free. Let me check that out

Except that new releases are not really all that interesting, at least to me. Today, we have 7 products by one PA which are: two characters, two young versions of those characters, and three different bundles of those 4 characters. The variety in today's new releases is just killing me. I feel spoiled for choice ;).

And that PA also has issues with duplicate formulas that never get resolved-so I'm avoiding all their products, too.  But yeah the overall variety today is a bit lackluster, hoping for a good bundle tomorrow.

Considering that it has been months since I probably bought a new/still new release here, this isn't something I would consider important for me

I actually bought something yesterday for the $2.49 as Daz+ member, simply becasue I'd never seen the product before and it had never been below $3, but was something I knew I could make good use of in my renders.

However, today I just realised a star only gives you 10% off, so yeah, don't think i'll be worrying about trying to make a regular purchase as thats little motivation, and will only buy if it's something again that really fits my art ideas.

Well, I don't see myself spending much this MM as a long time Daz + member who is not going to pay $2.49 for old content I've passed on for years for a gold star that only gives you10% off! Regular daily sales are better than this. My Daz+ expires at the end of April and I got no "special offer" to switch to Premier so I may be done here soon until they have the great sales they had around Christmas. They had great door busters with new content but now we are supposed to have to keep up buying something every other day just for an extra 10% off? Nope.

I've updated my cart and added an item I already own and its interactive license that still logs in at 100%. The cart also contains an item from today's new items that shows I'm getting the appropriate discount for having a "Gold Star". 

Thanks for your help, Richard, but seriously, I can't remember a single big sale that DAZ has held in decades where something didn't go awry. I was just hoping to save a little money by purchasing something that I don't really need right now, but thanks to the way the store works it looks like I'll be saving more than I'd planned.

What does applies to licenses actually mean????? 

To me it should means the 60% 70% 80% or 85% discount should actually come off the license but does it need the golden snitch to apply? It seems the poster had the golden thingy on there but didnt get the discount either...

And, with my trusty Gold Star active, a fresh, new Mad item from today's sale in my cart, my discount on the license of an item from the legacy sale button that I already own is... nothing. Oh, okay, I'll even add the item I already own and buy it again to get a license discount of... nothing. No license discounts for me.

Another fun fact: for a bundle that I don't own but that I do own every item in it? I can't even add the interactive license at all,not without buying hte bundle.

I forgot the cardinel rule of gambling in these games... the House always win.

Thanks. I asked because I recall in some previous punch card sales the gift card didn't count for a punch even though it wasn't always show as being excluded.

Yes.However I am not inquiring specifially about today's sale; but I am inquiring for future reference so that I would know whether I or not I could maintain my gold star with a small gift card purchase. Right now the Gold Star text just states "any purchase" and doesn't list any exclusions; but I recall in some previous punch card sales the purchase of gift cards did not count to receive punches.
