These issues only started to happen at the same time they rolled out DAZ Central. And I think we can all agree what an unmitigated disaster that has been for anyone who has tried to make that switch!

I too am still unable to download this product, which is annoying as I love Redz' stuff!  Why couldn't this have happened with a product I wasn't to impatient to download? XD

I'm in the same boat. I tried to install the hair product and couldn't find it. I opened DAZ Central and then my DAZ Studio went down; mostly white screen, couldn't load anything. It looked like DAZ Central tried to eat DAZ Studio. Then, after a reboot, lost a monitor input and no DAZ at all. Just WOW. I had to uninstall DAZ Central (which deleted my DAZ Studio) and then reinstall DAZ Studio via DIM (which had to then also update).

What a mess!

DAZ Studio finally opened ok, still no hair product .. I'm afraid to download DAZ Central.

Definitely wait for the fix; you do not want to swap DazCentral for your normal install method.

1. DAZ Studio | este es el programa
2. DAZ Install Manager y Daz Central | son dos maneras de poder descargar el contenido para DAZ Studio. Se recomienda se utilize solo uno de estos.

Ahora una vez que te haz registrado (sign-up) con tu email y hayas creado tu contraseña, revisa si no tienes algún email de confirmación (lo hice hace tanto tiempo, que no recuerdo si mandan uno o no). De no tener uno, acude otra vez la pagina de descarga pero esta vez selecciona en la parte de abajo "Login Here". Ingresa el email y la contraseña con la cúal te registraste. Esto te debe llevar a una pagina en donde podrás descargar DAZ Studio, DIM (Install Manager) y DAZ Central.

Hello, I'm using the online translator so this might not all make sense.

1. Your email address is never the password.
2. The password would be the password that you use to log into the store.
3. Under "My Account" there is a "My Serial Numbers" page - there you will find a serial number for Daz Studio 4.x Pro. That is to be entered into the Daz Studio program.
4. When logging into the store via DIM or DazCentral, I think it would be your store login password it needs. {I do not use these utilities}.

From past issues, when you see Daz Central only as a download, it seems to be a case of 'NO' download set-up for any method. But it will be fixed at a point in the morning. Although this is 3 July and a 3 day holiday for our 4th of July holiday in America.

Daz Central... Just say no...

You probably need to uninstall and reinstall Daz Studio I would use DIM...

I feel like an idiot, because I had no clue of the new update and now that I do...how do I get it.  Been having Dforce problems of late and hoping it will fix them

You can download the update through either DAZ Central or DAZ Install Manager but I recommend not updating yet, I updated and have no access to DAZ studio and it seems like other people are having issues with DAZ appearing as a ghostly white color after the update. I would recommend sticking with your current version and waiting for the next stable build. In my case I can't install it whatsoever. I tried using both DAZ Central and DIM and it doesnt install the update but it did delete my previous version so now I have no way of using DAZ :(

UPDATE: Installing through DAZ Install Manager works.

That sounds like a corruption of the interfaec files, possibly if DS was running (or still shutting down) when Daz Central tried reinstalling.

There are quite a few useful tutorials made and published by members of the community. DAZ3d has also released some free tutorials. You can also get help from this forum. There is no central archive for all these tutorials, you have to search the internet.

There are also several tutorial sets sold at the DAZ Shop. I guess there is not much incentive for DAZ3d to make a free manual when they make money from selling tutorials.

I would suggest that you install Daz Install Manager (DIM) (NOT Daz Central that so many people have had problems with). Before you install anything else with DIM, open its settings and configure all the paths where you want applications and content to be installed. Then use DIM to install Daz Studio and the supporting files like the CMS. Then install your content. You can selectively check the boxes of content you want to install or select everything and let DIM install it all. Just be sure you have your paths properly configured first. 

Does your new laptop have adequate cooling to do long Iray renders?

I don't think you need a new license. There is nothing in the serial number that appears to be OS specific.

I am running DAZ Studio version 4.12.1.117 and today my workspace was changed without my consent. When I look in layout I see nothing -- only a black box but no choices in layouts. 

There was a problem I encountered when DAZ Central wanted me to get an update for DAZ Studio. The update went badly. 

I have since been able to revert back to the look and feel I had before this updating problem this morning.

I believe DAZ Central is not really ready for the general public to use.

For this one I've failed the rule of thirds, even though I was going for rule of thirds

I did get the main character's chest and head into the central right third but I should have selected his head (or chest) and rotated the camera enough to get the droid and the guy going down the stairs into the left third. They're just not close enough to that third to be considered good composition - so I've failed. But that's what I'm all about right now - learning what I should and shouldn't do, but not being afraid to make these mistakes as I go. I keep trying.

Interesting. I've never read any of the books, but I've always thought of Cimmerians as Teutonic.

For finctional Cimmerians (with a soft C), a lot of post-movie Conan imagery is heavily inspired by Arnie, so they would have a Teutonic look.  In REH's books, Cimmerians are basically Saxons, so also a Teutonic look.  In the real world, however, Cimmerians or Kimmerians (with a hard C) are mentioned in a few sources from the 7th to 8th centuries BCE, and while there's a lot of confusions, seem to have originated around the Black Sea.  Probably to the north, but maybe to the south.  So they're in that area where the Thracians bump into the Persians/Iranians.

As for this bundle:  I'm a big Conan fan, even if the original stories are a bit problematic now.  The actual character looks awesome, the Cimmerian outfit is usable, and the tundra wanderer outfit is something I don't actually have already.  The weapons pack is useless to me - there's nothing there I don't have except for utterly ridiculous double-ended weapons that (as a student of armed martial arts) I just cannot suspend my disbelief over.  The barbarian helmets aren't quite as bad, but still not really my thing.   One expects a certain amount of garbage in a bundle, though, so this is overall not bad.  Thus, I'd get behind this figure, and even put up with the ridiculous double-ended weapons and please-kill-me helmets... if this wasn't dropping directly after the PC+ sale.  I'm massivly overbudget right now, and just can't afford it.

I'm impressed. Facially, he doesn't seem to resemble anyone else from the G8M Core crew. He has a Central Asian / Slavic face to me (which, as a Cimmerian, he should). The HD is appropriately detailed, as I hoped. Hugren looks useful as a heavy. I'm disappointed that they once again put tweezed brows on an action man and didn't give us fibre brows again, after establishing it as a regularity for Core males.

I like Sixus' Tundra Wanderer (I wish someone had made extra textures for it) and the boots/necklaces from Mada's Cimmerian. I feel cheated on the samey hairs, but I'm glad Propschick has a new workflow (and the helmet pack does atone for the hair shortage, although we were given the helmets and a weapons pack rather than a fourth outfit).

I may not be into Conan, I am into men who look that they can put on Sci-Fi armor and stand up in it, much less fight in it. Scar does. And I like his look. Add the BoneBreaker outfit and the dirt shell, yeah, match made in heaven.

I do wish the painted on brows had had color options. When I removed them, the face turned dark and left a line in the skull from the different materials. I had to reaply skin materials, remove brows again, settings, then increase the Seok Hair length to hide it better. I did switch out the eye materials. Brows are also fibermesh. Body hair from other characters also.
